    Projektor is an alias I started around august 2019. Under this alias I started posting psytrance music with a clear emphasis on theming and a more progressive or mainstream style than other producers. The goal of the Projektor alias is to release memorable music which works well on the dancefloor. Around january 2020 I started posting tutorials and other helpful videos on youtube again under the Projektor alias. Together with these videos I started selling several products which can be used to improve your productions. I have always believed music production knowledge should be shared and that is now one of my main goals with the Projektor alias. Currently Projektor is the only alias under which I release music, videos or products but this might change in the future!

    The next step is to prerender a few dozen filterpositions of the highcut with linear phase into individual wavecycles so that you can simulate the highcut by fading through the wavetable and can prevent the pitchdrift from the filtersweep

    • @Projektor_music
      @Projektor_music  Před měsícem

      that's not needed, the phase shift from said filter is minimal compared to the processing. In these examples you can't detect any postringing with psyscope even though the filter is being applied... also you will loose the detail of the current morph function of the wavetables...

    • @shuya4104
      @shuya4104 Před měsícem +1

      @@Projektor_music It really isnt. the most noticable problem with phaseshift from a lowpass filter is the fact that the pitch changes, which to me is annoying af. i posted some examples in your discord.

      @@Projektor_music Hi man! Just reaching out. I purchased the bass tables and I noticed that many of them look and sound the same. Is this correct? Really like some of them, but some doen change much at all when I oscillate the wavetable. Let me know if I am doing something wrong here :)

    Hey dude, nice videos, I watched a lot on kick bass, even the 3h one. Learned a lot , thank you. What I don’t really get is why is it important in psytrance to apply phase processing to the bass as I saw you do a lot with mphase

    • @Projektor_music
      @Projektor_music  Před 3 měsíci +2

      Thanks, I'm glad you like the content! The idea behind phase processing is that phase is essentially delay (Dan Warroll is mad at me for saying it and I know it's not true, but stick with me here). we delay certain frequencies slightly such that other frequencies have more space. A saw wave click is essentially an inpulse, meaning it contains all frequencies. To get the nice click transient we need to delay certain frequencies such that others come out more in the transient itself. That is essentially what we are doing (very basically sorry)

    • @Projektor_music
      @Projektor_music  Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@andreigheorghiu I do believe I cover this in my ultimate guide quite well actually, in fact I bellieve I even mention that the delaying of frequencies is the goal. I did hint to Dan Warroll for more information in my last comment, he knows more than me about phase but not in a psytrance context, in a general mixing context!
