150cm of SNOW is FINALLY MELTING & MORE SNOW is COMING 😬

Just a quick walk around of the property to show you the current conditions TEN DAYS after the MASSIVE WINTER STORM that put CAPE BRETON in a STATE OF EMERGENCY before the forecasted Nor’Easter arrives tomorrow to add MORE SNOW 😩❄️
We have been much luckier then most people in Cape Breton; we had no damage, we had access to heavy equipment to remove the snow & we did not loose the power!
There has been major damages to homes and businesses in the area including roof collapses, a propane explosions due to snow falling on the tanks and damaging it; this happened at a seniors complex causing bodily harm to individuals and displacement of all the residences, windows have broke due to the amount of snow built up around them and the weight of it pressing onto them, some homes are still unable to open their doors because of the height of the snow on their door steps and many have gone days without power.
Just when it started to melt after mild temperatures and people have begun to be able to get out of their homes, travel, reopen businesses and have the STATE OF EMERGENCY lifted we have been advised of another winter storm coming TOMORROW 😬

It’s been so nice to see the sun for a couple of days!! The chickens are doing well! I think they miss being able to get outside in their pen but other than that they are warm and safe!!
