They shovelled out an insulated wall so a dump rag newspaper can flick the bean, during a time where they called a state of emergency to test response for the summer tourist season. Instead of shovelling out a wall, where were they to assist the oversaturation of feeble, frail old people this population reduced itself to? That's the real adversity.

We lived in Nova Scotia for years, we live in Ontario now, on our own farm. Nice to see Kent and Deanna Peters Hunkering down and getting it done. I hope they are ok i don't think we have ever seen that amount of Snow while we were living out east. Keep smiling you two, all the best to you both. Nice Photo by the way. Congrats on the viral pic. We did have to have our neighbours come dig us out the drift hit the side of our house and blocked the front and back doors so we couldn't get out but it wasn't that high. I am 5'3" tall and i can say it was about 6 feet or so i guess but we had great neighbours they came and helped us dig our way out of the house safety but that drift they had there was massive. Well done guys. We do what we have to do to survive its always a good thing to stock up when it comes to storms in Canada cos you never know what you are gonna get till its all over. Stay safe Kent and Deanna Peters God bless you two and your family.

It's strange that their roads haven't been cleared.
In Switzerland the roads in the city are the responsibility of the local government and the roads in the countryside are assigned to different farmers for them to clear.
So if you're ever in Switzerland when there is a massive snow fall, then at about 4 or 5 in the morning all the farmers will be driving their trackors around, and all the roads in the Swiss countryside should be clear by 6 in the morning.
The Canadian government should get the farms to deal with the snow, then it would be cleared no problem.
