      It's probably in their collective bargaining agreement between the union and city. The police unions in most cities don't make much of an effort to protect citizens.

      The money they make should make there attitude change 68k regular pay you can chose if you want over time but who am I joking they fight for over time so the department makes sure they don’t hire to many to keep more hours so that 68k can be easily 80k my high school friend on his first year took home 120k it’s a very good job now I see why some of the ppl I work for send there kid to police academy it’s not for poor ppl anymore it’s for rich idiots smart parents can’t blame ill do the same hope my kid learn discipline so when I die he won’t blow all the hard work passes generation worked for

Mental evaluation should be included every single month and if any cop cameras goes off they should be immediately charged with a felony and fired.     Relieved with pay that's not a suspension that's a vacation. Here's an idea why don't they put his paycheck in escrow if he's found guilty he has to relinquish his money to the victims if he's found not guilty he will get his pay in full.

    This is a tough one, you never know when you go through a door who’s on the other side and armed with what ever.
    Police don’t need a warrant if
    1) preservation of life.
    If they truly believe someone’s life is in peril
    2) that there has been a serious crime taking place in a building and you need quick access to stop any vital evidence being destroyed.
    Other than that, it’s warrant time.
    If the call was legit and a man was around with a hand gun bothering people, it is safe to assume that the officers were in hunt mode to preserve life.
    Let’s see how it pans out...
