Thor and Quill's dynamic is gonna be 10x funnier than Sam and Bucky's dynamic. Quill had to fend for himself for 30 years and had this image of himself in his head that he believes is who he really is, but when in a team with a talking raccoon, a sentient tree, and two lifelong warriors, his predetermined image of himself doesn't fair very well. But the Guardians recognize his insecurity and let him lead them to make up for it. Thor on the other hand is a fucking god who typically doesn't deal with other humans, the only ones he has dealt with are the Avengers, which are obviously very well known and powerful in one way or another. So when he meets Quill. a human who doesn't have any notable advantages besides being a good pilot and marksman, Thor, of course, takes charge because he is obviously superior to him in every sense of the word. And the Guardians start to follow Thor a little bit, which makes Quill's insecurity resurface, which Thor just finds adorable, so he's learned to sort of tease the insecure side of Quill without being overly threatning.
How does Peter Quill, a half celestial, son of a literal planet, who was able to hold a infinity stone in his hand (without celestial powers) longer than any other character we saw and still live, how does he not fare very well against the other characters?
