- Hi, this video shows in detail how to purchase a digital copy of a game from the Nintendo eShop on your Nintendo Switch. It is aimed at beginners who haven't purchased digital games or used Nintendo eShop before.
You can use a credit card, redeem a game code purchased elsewhere or redeem a Nintendo eShop card voucher to put money onto your account. The process is easy to do.

Buying the physical games is way better, specially when multiple people in your home have switches, you can just let them borrow the game when your done, it’s saves money

i know im hella late, but i recommend physical games as they take less memory.
I would go for physical because what if you don’t like the game, because if you get a physical game then you can easily return the game back to the store but if you don’t like a digital game then you cannot return it back to the eShop unless if you call the Nintendo Support Center which has to be done no more than 48 hours after buying digital software on Nintendo, if 48 hours have passed and still haven’t requested a refund then it will be stuck on your Nintendo account forever for as long as you have that Nintendo account that you used to buy digital software

Sooo I'm saving up for a Nintendo switch lite and I was planning on buying the physical cartridges of Animal crossing and Mario kart 8 deluxe but then I would have to take the cartridges out everytime I want to switch between games. So now I'm considering buying the digital versions but I wanna hear other people's thoughts on it, so what do you think?
Well if you are going to buy the digital copy I'd recommend getting a micro sd card and the cartridge may be cheaper at your local shop
Sometimes physical games are cheaper than they are in the E-shop depending on where you buy them, for example, I got the physical version of BOTW for $50 at Walmart when it was 60 in the eshop. However if you wanna stick with just buying digital games so you wont have to carry the cartridges around, then an SD card is absolutely necessary because 32gb isn't enough storage to hold big games. I decided to start buying digital but first I'm getting a 256gb micro sd card

I have a dumb question since it’s my first time buying from the eshop, I bought a game for 29.99 and they sent me an email saying that hundred I paid 29.99 but also it says I have 29.99 on funds? Does it mean that I technically paid 29.99 2 times?? Meaning that I have to buy another item in the future without excuses? I just wanted one game 🧐 I paid with my credit card and only shows 29.99

Sorry this is a vary late response: but you payed 29.99 into the eshop, then used that 29.99 into a game. If you had put in, say 50.00, you would get charged 50.00, but then payed 29.99 for the game, both sending you your own emails. If you bought a second game for 30.01, you would get an email about 30.01 spent, but no charge on the credit card. Hopefully that makes sense to you :)
