- The Honda Wave Alpha 110 is around $1000 USD brand new - but this second hand one from 2021 cost me about $600 - and I probably overpaid. It's a great commuter and comes from the Malaysian Boon Siew Honda factory.
It's available in different specs such as drum brake only, front disc, or even the premium sport model. It serves a purpose and I used mine for a 2,600KM trip over 10 days of riding. Was it made for that? No. Did it handle it? Yes. Thanks Honda!

Hello from England again, in the UK these bikes are called ANF 125i Innova’s, I’ve had mine 15 years now and it’s been the best all round bike I’ve ever owned, wise choice 👍😁
England got the 110 too for a short time and it was actually sold as the Wave! I’ve seen a few for sale there. The 125 innova is a direct model swap of the Thai Honda Wave 125’s pre 2012. Awesome machine and I am glad to see more people in the UK realise how good they can be!
we love the middle basket!
I really like your lil scoots… your vids always bring a smile… keep up the awesome work and thanks for sharing…😃🤙🏽
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoy it. Plenty more where this came from.
Tq For Have a ride in malaysia
Thank you my friend. Soon I’ll have a video about our long ride.
Cool bike! I wish we could get a new small Honda for $1000 in the US but we pay 3-4x for small cc bikes here.
Honda really did put that 110cc in everything. Not fast but good torque for such a small motor. I have the JA10E fuel injected version in a NBC110C Super Cub.
I wish we could get these in my country too! New Zealand is devoid of underbone style bikes and it’s a bit of a shame.
Dude I really2 wanna see you try one of those "Rempit" bikes on a Malaysian highway. Like one of those Victor 150cc 2 strokes. It'd be really fun to see you ride it haha
Hahaha yes! I would love too. I’ve seen them racing before but I’ve not been a part of it yet. Hopefully on my next trip to Malaysia!
We ( SBBA tour ) hired some brand new Wave 125's in Laos for a tour, they took some massive abuse and other than the odd puncture and a few smashed indicators they took it all, impressive bikes indeed!
I watched in earnest from afar at that trip. Looked amazing - all of the SBBA ones look amazing. The world needs more Honda Waves thats for sure!
Hello...i watch as a sign of support for your channel.I haven't pressed the other buttons yet.I'm just watching. That's my way.
Haha
Thanks so much! Anything is appreciated - even a view helps. Appreciate you watching!
Cool review on Wave Alpha! Maybe next time youre in malaysia, you can try the Yamaha Y15zr / Y16zr (yes I know Exciter 155 VVA is the same as Y16zr here in MY) and Honda RS150 / RSX for your next long adventure.
Definitely - I would love to ride one of the 150's. They're awesome bikes.
Yeah man love this, i got wave ultimo, got 125cc, but i already modified it to 60 size piston, love from malaysia bro
Wow! That must be an awesome bike to ride. My wave only has 56mm.
awesome mate
Thanks so much!
Amazzzzzing!
❤️❤️ 🏍️🏍️
Broo should come ride at Sarawak and Sabah
The all new honda wave 110 fuel injection, in penisula malaysia (semenanjung malaysia) the brand new price are rm5000++ while in east malaysia (sabah, sarawak) the brand new price are rm6000++.
The cheap, reliable, easy to use and easy to maintance underbone moped motocycle, in malaysia we call it kapcai.
There also cheapest kapcai but qualiti are not good, all new modenas kriss that are rebadge from china brand, and many other china brand in malaysia price are under rm5000++.
Latest yamaha and honda kapcai are good quality. The best.
Interesting about the price difference between East and West Malaysia but I guess it makes sense due to the extra distance they travel from the factory. Thank you for commenting!
@@SmallBikeStuff yes, the price different factor are the cost.
If i am not wrong boon siew honda, dealer of honda motocycle in malaysia and hong leong yamaha, dealer of yamaha motocycle in malaysia plant are at penisular malaysia, in sabah and sarawak only have the dealer.
Wow nice rempit. Welcome to Malaysia. My smallest bike is scooter honda spacy with minor upgraded. Current top speed is 115 km/h. Extra 5 from standard 😂. I love it, very reliable, easy to carry many stuff than mophet. Unfortunately because it just a scooter, she never leave Kuala Lumpur. Honda wave is better choice for travelling long distance.
Spacy is still a great bike - I'd happily ride it long distance. It would be fun. Any bike is a good bike if you like riding it.
Nice road to ride.
The whole 2,600KM on this bike was awesome!
looks like you had a ball , should of came ,,hopefully next time .....new vidoes of the trip coming soon?
Yes Warren! There will definitely be a next time. New videos did the trip itself are a few weeks away yet. All the bikes will be shown first.
Nice little bike, got the Honda Dash 125 mostly for run around and my teenage son use. Recently got the Adv 160 for Thai 🇹🇭 escapade.
Good to know you are here.. 👍
ADV160 - awesome choice!
Ich hoffe der kommt nach Europa
What….you in Malaysia already? Remember me who commented asking for Geng Tayar Besar content 😂?
Yes! I remember. Unfortunately we had a tight schedule. Wish I could have met more people and seen more bikes!
@@SmallBikeStuffif you passing pulau pinang you can also stop by the SPD Racing workshop. You can google SPD Racing channel on youtube. They always create a masterpiece builds.
The only niggle is the horn button is in the wrong position ON PURPOSE.
Hahahaha I know what you mean. Takes time to get used too. Turn a corner and BEEP.
Love it
Thanks mate! Appreciate you watching.
@@SmallBikeStuff There is just something about adventures on small bikes that get me
@@cryptokev1759 completely agree - stay tuned because in a few weeks the videos of our full 2,600km adventure will start to be released
Wait, they still make em' carburated in malaysia?
The indonesian version of this bike (revo fit/x) has been fuel injected for about a decade now
And honda has not manufactured carburated bikes in a while here
I was also surprised that they made 2 strokes until pretty recently in malaysia
Here in indonesia the ninja 150RR/SS was discontinued in 2015
Last 2 stroke was made in 2018 in Malaysia. These bikes can be fuel injected also. They have both. But this is the most basic option available.
Hi, may i suggest aveta ranger max for your adventure, its malaysian made 130cc and has 8 litre fuel tank and can go through harsh enviroment.
I've been interested in the Aveta Ranger Max for a while now. I saw a few in Malaysia but never got the chance to ride one on this trip.
انت رائع

What do you think the reason is that Honda doesn't bring these bikes to the US? Is it just Honda trying to protect their more expensive sales here (when people go to buy a Honda they expect to spend 4-10K USD.)
We have a huge growing market for budget bikes, like our more popular Chinese imported bikes for 1.5-2.5K are constantly being sold out. Makes me wonder why they don't bring this machine here, cause certainly people would buy it.
What goes on in the brain of regional Honda minds is anyone’s guess. I’m from New Zealand and Honda ignores a tonne of eligible models that I think would do well here. I guess at the end of the day they stick with what they know and selling things like the Grom or the CT125 is Hondas belief they’re stepping up and bringing the wanted ‘overseas bikes’
@@SmallBikeStuff I've heard from Honda workers it might have something to do with cultural issues about questioning leadership decisions but I don't know how accurate that is. It definitely feels weird that they're so picky about where they sell various bikes.
@@domenik8339 Honda Thailand, Honda Malaysia, Honda Philippines - all the south East Asian entities are practically separate companies making a lot of their own decisions. I know Honda USA sources from the Thai entity so maybe getting bikes from their neighbouring honda factories would cause an uproar. Who knows - as I have learned with Honda in New Zealand; it’s impossible to figure out what they’ll do and when. Sometimes they make good decisions but often it produces some head scratching moments.
Bro maybe one day i hope, you would try Malaysian made motorcycle. Modenas and probably Aveta. I figured it'll be fun to watch and hear your thoughts
Same here! I am sure I will. Hopefully on the next trip to Malaysia.
Put off road tyres and these machines are more capable than expected....
Agree! I own a Wave 125 in New Zealand and with off road tyres it’s unstoppable.
you need to step-up power.....try sym vf3 185 or rs150 or raider 150....but for low budget small cc kapcai is ok then.
We like the struggle of using a basic bike for a long trip. It’s not a permanent purchase so we don’t have to live with the decision for long. I would love to ride a RS150 and especially the SYM 185. Great bikes!
@@SmallBikeStuff i'd offer to show you my 185 if you're somewhere around KL/PJ
I'm already gone this trip but I'll be back for sure!
You the best bro memang smart habis tu motol std redar
Thanks for watching!
You're definitely overpaid for that bike.
Absolutely. $600USD is what it cost me, sold it for less. But still a cheaper overall spend than renting a bike for the same time period.
