- During the WCC Tournament college basketball game between Pepperdine and Pacific, Pepperdine started out with an absolute dominant scoring run, getting out to a 39-2 lead in the first 13 minutes. The game was 26-0 before Pacific finally scoring their first basket to make it 26-2. However, this comeback attempt fell short as Pepperdine led 58-9 at halftime and went on to win 102-43.

the WCC doesn’t sponsor baseball. the MW HAS baseball but only contain just above half of the teams that’s normally in it for basketball and football. I think they either declined the invitation for baseball or just hasn’t registered it yet if both teams wanted in

@@arcticphoenix2789Not good, a bust. He had a lot of injuries too though. At that time, if you were over 7 feet with a pulse, teams took chances on you. Of the ten years he was in the league, he only played more than 36 games three of those years (82-game seasons). He did a lot of charity off the court though.

Fun fact: Pacific had a football team that last played in the Big West conference until 1995. They were the last FBS/I-A team to do so until UAB dropped it at the end of the 2014 season (reinstated it in 2017).

After a 9-56 deficit at halftime, they scored 34 to Pepperdine’s 46 in the second half. Still a 59 point loss (43-102), but progress is progress.

That’s women’s though. The gap in women’s is much larger than in men’s. Teams losing by 70+ in women’s actually happens more than you’d think
