At least Conis's dad apologized for being alive, even he knew that was bs
LOL True
Amazing comment XD
Beautiful! 😂😂
Conis' dad's return is one of my favourite comedy scenes of the show. I'll never be mad at it, him apologising for being alive will always be hilarious to me.
@@tin.3308 Yeah and I think it's funnier in the manga like the joke landed even better.
Roger apparently went to Skypiea, found the bell, ignored the war, and left. It feels very Jack Sparrow in a way.
He also found this big, priceless, very important historical artifact and decided "yeah, I'm tagging that baby. Where's my chisel.".
Laughing man
just cuz he went up there doesnt mean he knew about a War.
honestly your reaction to conis's dad being alive was literally perfect, exactly what I expected to happen LOL
To be fair, "Robin went somewhere" is infinitely more helpfull than Zoro telling you where she went...
Remember, we were told that the poneglyph in Alabasta DID say where to find Pluton, Robin just doesn't care about ancient weapons. I'm pretty sure it's meant to be the same in this case. This poneglyph probably tells you exactly where to find Poseidon, but Robin's like "yada yada get to something I care about".
I love that Robin doesn't tell anyone shit. At this point it would be out of character for her to tell anyone because she doesn't trust anyone and later it would be out of character because she doesn't want to spoil everyones fun in their adventure.
I could see the conversation in the recent chapters going like this.
Robin: hey luffy, do you want the pluton?
Luffy: wot's that?
Robin: the ancient weapon, the most powerful ship in the world. I can get it for you.
Luffy: nah, we have the sunny. That's better than any old ship.
Ok boys lets play "accidentally guessed a spoiler but can't tell which one" again!
For so effing real! Like WHAT??? 😭 this man is psychic!!!😭
In the 900 episodes I have seen, them running from the people trying to give them a gift is probably one of the moments the straw hats are collectively the dumbest.
When conis dad popped up lmaooooo
I died 🤪
To be honest, I do respect Oda for playing that moment as a punchline. It's him being self-aware that he can't bring himself to kill off characters, so might as well laugh at it.
@@odajoana Agree. It's super funny, so it's excuseable. Pell was way worse. It hat NO redeeming qualities
@@nerdydaily that makes one of you lol
Btw, the fact that Roger's name is etched into the bell means that Roger found the Belfry, the sacred symbol of the Shandians, and just went "Nah, they don't need to know". I guess dude just has a thing for withholding vital information.
I think it's possible he snuck up there without meeting them. It's reasonable to think he only met Gan Fall?
@@nerdydailyfair assumption
yeah he really does like keeping vital information. Him and his crew. 117 lol
@@hwaryun7042cause it’s none of your business
@@Orbitalbomb bro i am so confused. what?
Yeap the moon was the "endless vearth" that Enel was trying to go to all along !!
It's "a moon", not "the moon". One piece is a fictional world and the planet has several moons. Dude ended up on LV-426 by accident.
@@HaohmaruHL is this confirmed or speculation? If confirmed, can you tell me in what chapter this was mentioned.
@@HaohmaruHLwe have only ever seen one moon in the sky and you can literally track its phases as time passes
@@rafayetrasti6191SPOILERS FOR ENIES LOBBY ARC
I believe they’re referring to the orrery that Dr Clover has the shows like seven moons. Beyond that one thing there is no evidence for multiple moons in One Piece
@@eliashigham8901
When writing fiction you can't help but get influenced by the real world things and the culture around you unconsciously.
It's why many characters in one piece keep mentioning things, or do body language which is mostly specific only to Japan. In a world where Japan doesn't even exist. (And Wano is unheard of at that point). Why the hell would some random kid from a small village know what the hell a "sembei" is? Even in today's our modern world that has internet in it, not many people even heard of an "onigiri". And even if you say "rice ball" it won't click with everyone.
One piece world doesn't have internet. Even rumors about devil fruit users in East Blue are just rumors and the residents know nothing about the outer seas. So why some stupid boi from such a remote village know what "onigiri" or "haramaki" is??? I live in Japan and even I heard "haramaki" for the first time when I started one piece.
Oda probably haven't even thought about the moon at that point and kept drawing it as just like the sun or the sky or grass, like it's traditionally used as a background for the manga/anime scenes. Maybe he realized he screwed up mid way because he wanted to make this world bigger and crazier, but it was already too late.
He's isn't the write who retcons things so he will probably seemlesly incorporate it in his storytelling.
There's a scene with a globe model of the current world in a later arc that may shed some light. It has 6 moons revolving around the globe. Those people there were of the more knowledgeable bunch (too much actually), so there's no there's no way they were wrong about how the world looks. Oda drew and wanted to show you that scene on purpose. It's a tease. He basically threw a bone to make people start speculating about it.
After Pell survived, i didn't really care that Pagaya survived too, at least it was played off as a gag lol the guy somehow managed to avoid El Thor despite Conis seeing him getting hit, fastest character in OP fr
There is a cover story in the manga of Eneru adventures on the moon, too bad it wasn't animated. Also yeah, i still wonder how the Sky people and Robin thought they could put that huge gold column on the Merry without destroying it lmao
Oda sensei says in a interview that he will try to not kill the characters for a promise to his grandmother
When I was a kid. I was happy that Coni's dad is alive 😂
16:25 see this is why I'll keep watching even when I disagree with some of your takes. Seeing someone else finding out part of the puzzle of One Piece is almost as good as finding it out myself all those years ago. We live vicariously through first time viewers.
23:00 Luffy is a big on "It's the journey not the destination."
That backstory wasn't for Cricket, it was for Wiper and Calgara. Again you are trying too hard to connect it with what you think it's connected to that you aren't realizing what it really meant for the storyline.
Worldbuilding is One Piece exclusive, other piece of media is just for green screen and Nerdy is still not familiar with worldbuilding of One Piece
Pluton is also named after a god, Pluto, the greek underworld god.
You know one piece has snagged you when you start coming up with theories and Skypia is the best time for it.
Your factually wrong because it doesn’t just put Wyper’s and the shandians story into context. The Noland and Calgara flashback has a bigger effect on the story as a whole and to things that are playing out recently on the show. However I acknowledge your right to not know that at the time of watching it. I still disagree with it not impacting what your currently watching or how good it was but thats subjective. I only get on you when you make claims while completely missing the details of context no matter how much that cracks me up.
Also It’s not so much that Luffy is getting distracted. They know where they think the one piece is. However they have no choice but to follow the log pose. Not every island is a full blown adventure but as in real life dictates there are always roadblocks and diversions on the way to your own goals.
Well, all we can hope is that you enjoy the flashbacks in the next saga a bit more.
"I'm so sorry for being alive" is so meta and hilarious
4:42 the timing of this was perfect
You know, Luffy didn't really have a reason yet for massive growth, did he? So far he could punch his problems, it always turned out fine and nobody in the crew got killed.
So many references to the Wano arc, wild
1:22 So God really exists? - No, it's just a Rubber boy 😄
Some body must remember to bring this quote back up everytime Luffy wins the final boss of an Arc
For fun reasons...
Your ending reaction was what I was waiting for most this arc
Skypiea its "the house of the undying" chapter in ASOIAF, there are things there for you that you can only understand after certain events happen and you get more information, you cannot understand what its there because there is no information, thats why a lot people hated for a long time this arc... and then something happen in the story that makes you look back at skypiea and you get "i always liked skypiea, i dont know who skip it". And the same will happen with dance with dragons when winds of winter comes out, many people that now hate it... will go back and say "i always liked dance".
The timing on mentioning that Conis's father was not dead was perfection. 😂
The lack of death among characters that should definitely no longer exist is a bit frustrating for a lot of people.
Logia devil fruit users are notoriously hard to eliminate, so that didn't bug me so much. There is a cover story for Enel showing what happens next. And it's kind of important for the rest of the story.
"I'm sorry I'm still alive!" - That about sums it up.
I love love love hearing your thoughts about the episodes they are funny and fresh, some of them are petty, sure, but that's what makes the reactions unique and interesting.
Also this is mad funny iykyk 20:35
@@helium3137 right?! Future sight on point
I really like your reactions, I hope you continue
6:00 - LOL as an ex-Mormon, i found that joke extremely funny. well played.
All the flashback did was explain why ringing the bell was important to the Shandorans. So it really should have happened earlier to explain what the Shandorans were actually aiming to do.
You got the importance of flashback right but I disagree I think it's the perfect place.
Always love the mysterious back story stuff
water seven letsss gooooooooooooooooooooooo
Congratulations on finally entering the H.D era after this finale
I feel like the story of Nerdy and the Noland flashback is a comedy of errors.
For me, the flashback gives context to the struggles of the Shandians and the laying down of arms with the sky people. That's why there's a flashback to Calgara and Noland laughing and drinking during the party - but it seems like that's the one scene Nerdy missed while vibing to the music. Same with Noland's crew cutting down the trees while we saw their friendship with the Shandians develop.
6:03 Enel is flying to the MOON 😆
truthfully I think you woulda liked the Noland story a lot more if it was shown before the arc or as we enter the "game" with Enel. It was in sour taste for me too as were getting the climax to just throw this in front of it, it wasnt as bad for me since I read the manga. But going back and seeing different tidbits of connections made really makes the story a lot more fun to watch. I wish you liked it because I really feel it makes Noland feel like a really cool and big character, one of the bigger legends we have seen in the story this far besides a few big names like gold roger.
last thing,
you say that the end result would be just as impactful without Nolands story, I disagree, seeing what type of people, how they lived, the differences and controversy's of each of their worlds and on top of it being able to become close friends really sets a mood you didnt have before, because you didnt know they were close, you dont know the who what or where without the story and now it makes the bell very important to ring not just for cricket but now an entire other group of people, and the bell symbolizes that the worst is over IMO not just for the sky people but for cricket and the shandorians. Without the story it just kind of feels like the bell was rung for cricket and you have no context as to why the shandorians were so happy to hear the bell ring too, almost like the rain in Alabasta.
Anyway apologize for my yapping just thought Id share my opinion.
Conis dad showing up was perfect
did not expect the mormon dig, but it was solid ahahahaha.
The regret of "Connis-san" LMAO 🤣🤣
Best part about the next (nonfiller) arc is the stakes change away from life and death. Consequences felt larger.
Why would you have an entity that could destroy an island with three strikes (enel) when you could destroy it with one?
Fun fact there was a cover story about Enel reaching the moon.
Nerdy: I guess that's God
Fandom: Should we tell him? 😂
2:34 🔥🥁😂
Im proud of you, Nerdy. Unfortnately Oda hasnt caught up to you yet.
How does this man guess so many spoilers so early on? 😅
The end of Skypea is very important for the lore. A lot of it will be very important later on.
I will keep watching
Normally I would say to watch the G8 filler arc because it is pretty good. but with the way your opinions have been very different from the rest of the audience, I dont know if I would xD
I was waiting for that Conis dad moment lmao.
Man spoils himself 2:36
After this, there's a mini-arc coming up. Since it's filler, you'll likely skip it but I'd recommend to watch it. It holds some of the funniest moments in one piece and also foreshadows arcs to come.
Seconded. The G8 arc is filler done right.
He's already watching it. There's video for members only up on his channel already
if he didn't like even noland's flashback, i'm assuming he's gonna hate this filler arc. It's not that good anyways, kinda overrated

@@jasprvs.theworld5836 well, that surprised me hahaha
Lol i forgot about conis'dad scene 😂
5:15 Excuse me while I laugh at your pain~🤣
Enel has a cover story in the manga after he goes to the moon, where (minor spoilers below)
He finds out that an advanced people with wings on their backs (similar to the natives of Sky Islands) used to live on the moon, briefly fights an alien pirate, and reactivates a robot army. Oda casually putting aliens in canon.
Love from Belgium 🇧🇪 ❤
There is a cover story for Enel in manga that you gotta read. It’s very interesting
I don't know if anyone already mentioned it (can't find anything) but the backstory was not pointless. Sure it added little to skypia. You learn the noland wasn't just some coloniser, seeking to settle on other peoples land and about Viper's motivation and the importance of the bell, but I agree, that for those things it wasn't necessary (and too long). But far more important to the overall plot of One Piece (no spoilers):
You learn that at least one people with winges live(d) on the ground. That means it's not an adaptation to living in the sky but has to come from somewhere else. I advise you to read the cover story of Eneru's great space operation after you finish this arc. It's not urgent though, but you should read it before episode 385 or at the very least before episode 878. This story has unfortunately not been adapted in the anime but it seems to have a lot to do with future revelations and it's only 6 images.
I would argue Noland is just a stock coloniser. He immediately reveals the existence of Jaya and the city of gold to the king and then brings him right to it. He is the worst case scenario in terms of keeping the city of gold hidden. Despite his friendship with Calgara he reveals it all. Noland is saved from being viewed as a traitor to his friendship by the knock up stream.
@@nerdydaily yeah, that is true. I just meant he wasn't a conqueror (at least not in the classical sense of the word) just didn't know how to word it when I wrote.
@@Quakie91no hes wrong and his take is literally the worst, next to Hasan’s BS fucking takes. No wonder he likes Disney’s Star Whores.
it hurts that he has so many questions and we cant outright answer them because it would spoil the show. but yes, youre on the verge of uncovering the link between the glyphs and the one piece. keep going. the answers lie ahead.. probably 800 more episodes.
Just fucking spoil for him, hes a turd.
I'm not mad at the autism. I still love you
I think you will be happy to know that Luffy will get character development very soon and not just him. ;)
END - ok, so after next episode is an 8 episode Filler Arc called "G-8", the fanbase REALLY likes the Arc, so up to you if you react to it or skip it, after that comes an Arc that you probably are going to hate, as it mostly has no bearing on the story. what comes after that, you'll get something that you wished for.
Yes...Gol D Roger was HERE!!!
The will of P is to strong you'll never understand this
Will of P is alive - Pell, Pagaya
You're right Conis' dad should have been dead. I just consider him dead tbh since him being alive adds absolutely nothing extra in the story or in my mind. For me, Conis' dad and Pell died long ago and they're staying dead. Oda ain't telling me otherwise.
Btw, I like you despite all the antagonizing you sometimes do, LOL. Always good to practice accepting differing opinions
Till today we still dont know anything about the D
Ends of the Earth could also be a place at the edge of the atmosphere/Stratosphere Like the space station with Earth itself.
Fun fact in a Cover Story (cannon to story) Oda shows that Enel reaches the moon and for some reason can breath there just fine. More importantly he finds Automata there and there are scenes depicting space pirates.
As of yet has not come back to the Manga but I believe that stuff will eventually.
Probably will; but please watch the G8 filler arc. Its simply just a lot of fun before we hit the least liked arc of Long ring Long land. Quite a few fans do not like it; if you break tradition once more than it will probably be your fave and all your opinions will suddenly make sense.
I only roast you so hard because you ask for it by encouraging mean comments.
I keep watching you react because you do not fit the average mold. So keep on being the perplexing you.
Don't think about the show too much. Think of it as Saturday morning cartoons.
#nicorobin the question is "where is Eneru now"?😂

Nerdy cover your eyes for this one, hey guys, is the foxy pirates arc canon? I always forget.
It's canon. However, Toei extended it. I enjoy the canon parts but the filler is a bit too much.
@@ely03cassandra i think we will know if it's relevant by watching the live action, at this time that arc is totally skippable, sure for the live action they will ask to the sensei if they can cut it, so if we see foxy in live action it means that he will return in the manga.
Luffy a shadow haha nervous laughter
i havent really been paying attention but youre doing 4 a week right? 2 on tue and thur.. so eventually when we get to the wano arc that one alone will take a whole year to complete.... hot damn
Wano is over 200 episodes long?!?
@@nerdydailyso what? The next arc after G8 is 116 episodes. Better lock in if you wanna keep going with the show or are you gonna just bitch and moan per usual?
I think the backstory is good for giving context to the shadorans and Wiper, but it could have been 1.5 epidodes rather than 3, and it probably should have occured a few episodes earlier, rather than at the peak of the fight between Luffy and Enel.
It happened during a literal break in the fight between Luffy and Enel. It's not like it happened between one attack and the next. To say otherwise is a mischaracterization.
@@wraithflaire1639 And to say that all the tension built to that point just completely went away in that break is silly. It didn't. I remember getting annoyed for the exact same reason the first time I watched this. I'm just saying pacing was wonkey and could have been better with the Lore dump a few episodes before, and a few quick flashes of the lore dump scenes as a reminder before the final blow to do what the Lore dump in the break tried to do. Hype would have stayed high without loss to emotional impact IMO.
lol giant luffy i guess that's god x'D
OMG! LOL!! - D's Nuts joke, was priceless.
I may be wrong, n I must be wrong because I know the little more info we have up to day with the manga, but I can't remember any Female character with the Later D. ah yes, the pirate king, who is known far and wide as 'Gol', just like everyone is calling our protagonist Strawhat Monkey lmao 🤣

HES0!!!
I belive the flashbacks make more sense if you think of them like a 13ish old boy.
Please watch the G7 Arc too. It's filler but it's the best one out there and it's short.,
I do not disagree with most of your thoughts. The no deaths thing always frustrates me. But I did eventually accept it.
The flashback for Skypeia I think is important for Wipers motivation. But its placement is so weird. It should really happen WAY before the big war. It’s a huge pacing killer.

6:03 Waited for this moment xD
Yes, and reached it even. Another coverstory of the manga, far more interesting than gedatsus, tho
he will grow up
It's one of the things I think the live action got wrong is that Luffy steals a lot mostly food and does like gold he's a little too good for my liking in the live action but maybe they will get there but with it being netflix and this would be like season 4 or 5 I don't know
700 episodes later...😂
To me, there is no greater interaction than Luffy with Nami. It's either hilarious or emotional. They are my favorite One Piece characters.
