Which we saw as we looked for link to put in description. Odd since this video didn't get blocked on our end. Got a copyright claim so all ad rev goes to TOEI. Which is fine, but wonder why they didn't just do that with original video 🤔
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 Maybe it’s because TOEI just made a new promo vid for their 25th One Piece anniversary just recently? 🤷🏻♂ Who knows! But you're right, they could’ve just claimed the revenue from Strawhat V’s fan-made vid instead of totally taking it down. It did a fantastic job attracting new fans without any major spoilers, unlike TOEI's 25th-anniversary vid, which had loads! 😬 It's a shame, especially since that fan-made vid took over three months of love and passion to create. I think Strawhat V deserves some kind of credit or appreciation from TOEI, even just a little recognition, in my opinion. I know it's their materials but still-🥹
Another is that some of the islands in the video have movie only islands that were made by different studios

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 because the original video didnt fall under Fair Use, videos that fall under fair use are usually safe, but since the original video used Toei Animation footage of the Anime with Copyrighted Music from Cinema, it was only a matter of time before it faced the axe.
With over 1100 episodes, One Piece didn’t just create a majestic setting, Oda created a thorough world, each with its own storyline, big and small.
And just about as many (named) characters!

Something amazing about One Piece is that the author, Oda, still enjoys writing/drawing the story 27 years into it, basically week-to-week! over the last 2 decades, he has repeatedly estimated he would start the final saga within 3-5 years. He said that when he gets an idea for a story, character or island that he likes, he can't not draw it! And we thank him for that :D
Hopefully he gets distracted again! It really does seem to be in the endgame now, though.
Though it's to the point where he's been hospitalized more than once for exhaustion. The mangaka schedule is ridiculously extreme. But for $20 million a year I can see why he makes it work.

@@3Rayfire the man enjoys his work. Which is insane. He truly feels blessed to have the career that he has. The man has barely slept for the last 20 years and I'm sure he needs to keep it up for 5 more years at the very least. The man needs all our prayers to finish it with his life intact.
His most realistic estimate was that the manga would end at chapter 1000 while being at around ~400. I mean, that absolutely did not happen, but he expeccted it to go on for a while at that ponit.
The first season of Netflix One Piece takes place in East Blue.
This is the most peaceful and tranquil of the seas, so all of the islands they run into are relatively ordinary run of the mill villages without too deep of a culture. Once they step into the Grand Line is where everything escalates and they start visiting places that are more full on nations with rich history and culture, and encounter more wild and exotic environments and nature. It only ramps up from here.
We're going to become King of the Pirates with this one.

Okay, i didn't expected that you'll actually react to that masterpiece, awesome! And speaking of One Piece, they released almost the entire cast list for the second season (but few key characters are still missing from it, tho), and there's also short video, where the main five actors reunited on the "Cape Town Film Studios" again. Yes, it's official - they finally started filming second season!
haha and it's the two characters that people most want to see that are missing. Though one of them had a big frontrunner to play her, who *wants* to play her, and so I hope they go with that.
So 2025 we get the 2nd season? Hopefully

A lot of people love the world of One Piece. But no one loves it more than its creator Oda, the man has made a literal modern Odyssey almost completely by himself. He poured his very soul into the fabric of the story and characters which comes across in every way as a true thing of beauty.
Would I be wrong if I say that Oda is the modern Tolkein?"

@@corryjamieson3909 I think the comparison to Odyssey and Homer is better than the comparison to Tolkien. The Odyssey is the original grandiose romantic adventure, it's crazy, larger than life, hell it's even going from island to island too.
Tolkien is much more grounded and display a bittersweet world. The hobbit would probably be closer than LotR but it still has a lot of those elements imo. The Odyssey is really the closest match there is.
Oda will take inspiration from literally anywhere to create his world. From a Disney nightmare to Aztec / Mayan ruins to Dante's inferno to even mythology it's so creative that anyone can get easily wrapped up in it

This video captures what I loved about one piece. The adventure, seeing and experiencing the different places, cultures, and peoples. It isn't just about that, but that is what drew me into the series.

oda enjoys a level of freedom in this work that many other mangaka does have. he doesn't have a deadline or forced to put out subpar work. oda has been telling this story the way he wants, in the time he wants to tell it. there is a reason why its the highest selling manga of all time.

One Piece isn't my favorite anime, but I can DEFINITELY understand why it is the favorite of so many. It's got such a unique charm in many small and personal ways juxtaposed with such grand adventure and epic storytelling.

what i love about one piece it has everything amazing islands to the biggest story including backstories with every character which has over 1,100 even the foreshadowing's even though one piece is 1110+ eps/manga long you see stuff teased in the earlier times and now 20 years later it gets brought back in a big way
Something that instantly got me into One Piece was just the idea of how different every single island and every single character is. Oda created his world so phenomenally it's super impressive ngl
the world of one piece is around 2.7 the size of are world. most islands are about 3 days away on the good sailing time. plus looking at the true globe of the world, it will have a one wrap around land and one wrap around water with all other seas being cut in 4 to make the each of the seas.
I read somewhere else it was 10 times the size of earth.

5:12. The song is Adiemus by the band Adiemus. It was featured in a Delta airlines commercial and an ad for a compilation cd of New Age music called Pure Moods. I don’t think it has been used in a movie. Several movies have songs that sound similar though
Long time ago I often heard it at Animal Planet channel. I think the composer is Karl Jenkins.
What amazing about One Piece is each island has its own history its own culture its own story. And they continue to have theirbown plots happening throughout the story even outside the Strawhats interactions with them. He's made one of the most believable cohesive immersive world's ever created.
If you ever decide to delve into the anime i recommend what some other resctors do and watch 2-3 episodes a day. One streamer uploads 2 episode reactions a day and she's already nearing 500 episodes in her first year of watching it.

Its a definitely a beautiful world, i manged to get caugh up 2 years ago and this was around i think episode 1010 or swomewhere around there and it was an amazing, fun, emotional ride. Also wanted to ask if you guys could watch/learn more about demon slayer since season 4 just endex with a giant finale and even more bog news and it trended with multiple hashyags for a full 24 hours all over thw world. Would love to see you guys get into that series!

Well, now you know why we were all confused when they said: we are gonna bring this to live action. Even more suprised when it came out well

If you have problems with the episode count, wit studio is making a one piece remake, the toei anime (same company of dragon ball) has episodes that only adapt one page of the manga because they don't wanna catch up with the manga in terms of publication, other anime can adapt 3 or 4 chapters of a manga in one episode, so the remake can have a better pacing from the beggining and with top tier modern animation because they will start from the east blue (live action plus loguetown that will be the first episode of season 2 adapting the last arc of the east blue saga).
One piece is globally known by everyone as one of the pieces of media with the best world building ever seen, every island is completely different from the last, like you are walking into a different era, a different time, a different dimension, from islands that look like you are back in the era of samurais, to island that make you think you are in the future, and so much more, as the title suggests it is a breathtaking world that im glad you guys also appreciate, hopefully you guys will react to "The One Piece" (a remake made by Witt and netflix that will fix the old animation, the pacing, and the large number of episodes early one piece has that will release soon) or maybe one day hopefully you guys will watch the One Piece anime because as long as it is, everyone who's watched it has said it is 100% worth it

Dragon Ball, and Dragon Ball Z will hold such a special place in my heart forever. But itd be a lie of i didnt tell you that One piece has become my favorite anime of all time. Ill always love the memories of watching it with my Dad and Brothers in the 90s. But One Piece... I love her Mom...

I finally got done watching all 1,073 episodes of the dubbed anime to just realize that it is in the middle of a storyline and there is still more to come. I was hoping that with over 1,000 episodes that it would have been over with the amount of episodes. However, the story just kicked up a notch, so I am looking forward for it to continue. It has been a fantastic story exploring all the lands you just saw in this video and I can see the possibility of the live action going for a very long time, but still emphasize that it is a major time commitment due to pacing for the anime and I even started watching it at 1.25 speed after the first 150.
There's a remake of the anime in the works, atm, called The One Piece, being done by Wit Studios.
Yeah, if you want to continue with the series and don’t want to watched the subbed version, I suppose you could continue from the manga at that point. Cause the original subbed version is now on 1,110 episodes.
One Piece is adventure in it's purest form, but more than that lies for those who sail on the journey. what begins as a modest and simple adventure grows into so much more, turning the world darker than suspected and our Pirate protag into a bit of a Hero. (though dont tell Luffy that, to him Heroes share food with everyone and he only wants the food for himself, and maybe share with friends if there's enough to go around.)
It's a good way to blow up to react to One Piece things.

There really arent that many fillers. The reason there are so many episodes is moreso because of the slow af pacing.

It's funny that people that have only watched the awful live action say: "there is no spoilers"...
Saying this doesn't have spoilers is not accurate. It really depends on your attention to detail. For example, without spoiling anything as long as you don't go back looking for it, there are a couple of shots of the Straw Hats showing members who haven't joined yet in the live action, but they are blink and you miss it moments. There are a couple of other spoilers, but your brain has to be really engaged.
if you're a newbie watching this you wouldn't know those were straw hats tho, they are just random characters for people who don't know them and everything else flashes by so quick you don't have time to fully process it, unless you're already familiar with the source material. the main stuff i would consider actual spoilery in this is the shots of the sky islands since their existence is kept as a bit of a surprise/mystery for a while in the manga and one of the shots with luffy as a kid

Season 2 of the Live Action has started filming and if you wanna wait for that then that's understandable but i highly recommend watching the anime to where the Live Action ends so like 40 something episodes because the Anime is 99% different compared to the live action and then you can decide if you wanna continue or still wait.
I'm not gonna lie i think their dog will become king of the pirates but only because all pirates will fear its cuteness.

If they do, they should probably start from the beginning or just read the manga from the beginning because the live action and the manga/anime versions are way different aside from the main story beats.
Nami's dream is considered to be the most difficult along side finding the One Piece. Mostly bc she can only achieve it once Luffy becomes the Pirate King since she needs the freedom of a Pirate King to travel all around the world.
Also when you understand how myterious and unexplored the world is later on. It'll be even more evident just how difficult her dream actually is. It might sound fairly easy but it really isn't.
Definitely considering if "that" level of thing is reversed back to where it originally was hundreds of years ago.

Starting One Piece Reaction, yes?
Oda said the manga is going to finish around late 2024 to early 2025. But it could take slightly longer. Nevertheless, if you want to react to the anime. Now's the time. Just in case if the ending is going to be crappy. But it's the journey that I watch it for, and hopefully the climax does not disappoint.
I'll warn you since you've watched the live action show. The first 30 or so episodes are pretty slow pasted. But the humour, action, and dialogue is a lot better than the live action version. Plus, you get a lot more characters, and fights. Even Luffy Vs. Arlong is a lot more hyped in the anime.
There will also be a lot of filler episodes (Anime exclusive material that's not from the manga). But I'm certain that you can find a website guide to help you cut it out of your reactions. About 30% of the anime is filler. So don't be intimidated by the large episode count.
ain't no way it's ending 2024, it's absolutely impossible, he's been saying 5 more years for the past 10 years now so never take what he says at face value ( especially since he also enjoys trolling us), he also takes health related breaks more frequently now than in his youth so yeah... 100% guaranteed it's not ending 2024 and most likely not 2025 either. personally I think another 3 years( including this year) is how long it would take to wrap everything up nicely at the bare minimum, that's taking break weeks into account as well.
There's no way the manga ends in less than 5 years unless Oda rushes the fuck out of it which would ruin it. There's too much to wrap up and Oda is not drawing fast enough taking so many breaks lately (he deserves them and I'm not complaining about that)
