For that first run, I was halfway expecting you to get the diver and then have the first spin put him next to the hex of destruction and have him killed right away XD
I have a question that slightly pertaining to what you said; do you think that a hex of distruction + protractor = a full wipe of all symbols on screen?
@@justaguy7986 I have yet to see that combo in action, but based on wording and how it works, I do not think it would wipe, however it would be able to destroy any one symbol on the board.
The hex do not destroy all symbol around it, only ever one in my experiece so far.
Midas bomb on the other hand, oh dear....

Crow + Checkered Flag would be great though? Losing 3 coins every 2 spins instead of 3 spins would really speed up the commenters typing "tyler bad"

I'm guessing he was thinking about the magpie instead; -1 per turn, 9 every 4. With Checkered Flag and Tax Evasion, it becomes effectively 3 per turn.
...or you could just get a Sloth and a Checkered Flag.
Checkered Flag does not speed up Crow or am I wrong? Theres no crow in the tooltip

I remember meeting your channel a while back during the isaac explosion. I remember seeing your channel and loving your commentary. I'm so glad you're playing a game that puts your commentary skills in the light. You make it look easy honestly.
It's honestly kinda unfortunate that Anthropology Degree, like Tax Evasion, sorta breaks thieves. Both make it so that Thief doesn't take money, so it doesn't bank any for when they're killed.
I thought thieves added 1 every time they showed up and not every coin they stole
@@tronche2cake Unfortunately no. They only multiply for any money they take. If you've got Anthropology Degree or Tax Evasion the only worth you'll get from thieves is whatever Zaroff or Bounty Hunter give from their effect (which I think is 10 on both accounts) and being able to get rid of banana peel.

You didn't take enough geese. I want to see a board of 20 geese all at once, with no golden eggs.
Hexes are only worth it if you get the Holy Water item. Makes the witch pop off like crazy.
Also, flower is probably the best build, or at least in par with spades. It just takes a lot of symbols to synergize. You gotta have enough flowers, rain, bees, light bulbs and suns for it to actually be useful
I find this just as enjoyable and entertaining as the normal Luck be a Landlord content! More laughs even
Meme deck idea that kind of works: Take things primarily on the theory that they either could be removed from the deck easily or could remove something you will definitely see in the future. This can usually get you far enough to find something build-defining to work off of with a thin enough deck to make it work well. Sometimes it crashes and burns terribly, though.

there's a jorbs strategy that i'd like to give you that applies for a lot of deckbuilders ...
don't worry about taking a certain amount of threshold of things, or synergies that you may never even find, you win more if you just take things that are good.
And it really works in this game. I can win almost all of my runs these days by just picking unexciting things that say "Gain 3" a lot of the time. You need something to get you through that last rent payment and it doesn't work for endless a lot of the time, but it's really consistent to just take the things that have a consistent payout.
Hex of Destruction isn't bad. If you are in the midgame and have a bunch of mediocre stuff, it's often good to put it in and slowly clean out the deck.
I have this game.... I play it all the time.... and I watch people play it.... I'm addicted o.o

The only reason to take hexes is if you get mega lucky early in a run with holy water showing up.
I disagree with that. The fact that they give 3 is really relevant. The one that makes you not pick stuff 30% of the time is a real loser early and Hex of Destruction is often going to be bad too, but the one that gives -3 30% of the time is nice (and has a nice synergy with Tax Evasion), the one that blanks an adjacent symbol 30% of the time is good to take early too.
People really underestimate how good it is to have a symbol say "Gain 3".

My husband had an oyster run pop off this morning it was pretty cool. Got the oyster very first pick, got the driver right after paying 150 for rent. It wasn't an eternal run but it went like 3 or 4 rents past 777. It just requires so so much luck

Ore runs are difficult to pop-off because you don't have an Uncommon mineral eater so you cant really scale, you only have archaeologist which doensn't really do the trick

Unfortunately, I know only two possibilities and I have to pray to rng for it to work

Or Cultist build. Or something else like that. Or you have the items that makes Hex not do anything except giving money.

If you get the dog to wolf upgrade wolves give 3 coins and it just takes off with more moons! I’m currently stuck in an infinite because I literally make 16k a spin sometimes lol

Idea: An item that divers avoid destroying oysters, or more broadly, it could apply to cases of reproducing symbols getting destroyed, but might be more balanced to specialise it...
Oysters are great with archaeologists. So is mine.

Warning about thief and Anthropology degree. It eff cts the thief too, so it never builds up money. Same thing happens with tax evasion.
There is one rule in running this game that I consider absolute gospel beyond dispute: _Never start a strat that requires a Rare or Very Rare symbol you don't have._

If you want to play items that take turn make sure to take checkered flag and also tax evasion.

Hey Olexa, I know you probably don't like game suggestions but FTL has recently had a modding renaissance. A huge new mod called Multiverse added hundreds of new events, ships, and weapons. Dozens of new species and subspecies. Also new mechanics similar to captains edition but they actually work and aren't jank at all (at least in my experience). I highly recommend you at least take a peak at FTL multiverse, or maybe you don't like FTL. In that case I hope other commenters see this at least
I had a pretty big ftl series last year. That sounds incrediblllyyyy interesting for sure. I have sooo many series I want to do right now though and since they’re new games I have to cover them now but maybe in the future we can definitely take a look.

I often wonder when watching videos, about how long before it was uploaded, after it was recorded. I've seen some streamers whose backlog is like 6 months to a year or so for when a video is uploaded after being recorded. Often though, viewers assume the video was recorded within at most a few days before it got uploaded. I've even seen replies to comments indicating the video was done long enough ago, the creator forgot what all was in it. It's no wonder certain comments miff creators, causing them to retort about said comments in some way. It can be mentally exhausting for creators and commenters. I don't envy the positions that seem to arise from these dynamics. I've been in it before, and don't enjoy stressing over whether what I said caused some negative behavior to occur in whomever took said thing to heart in some way that is concerning. Anyway, best wishes to everyone. Hope you're all doing well.

"The Coin is the worst item in the game"
Triple coins at least turns it into something viable. Dogs, right now, are the worst item in the game. Barely any synergies and the only item that interacts with them just turns them into wolves which is a base payout of only 2, so even then the triple coin item is better for coins than the wolf item is for dogs. They really need to buff dogs.
I actually agree with you dog is also horrible but at least there’s the item to turn dogs into wolves and wolves have good synergy. Coins only have the x3 and king Midas and king Midas is bad lol.
@@OlexaYT Midas with triple coin + rusty gear is actually good. Coins will almost always be worth 6 each and even more if boosted by Midas himself.
I do agree that Midas is run-ending garbage without at least one of those supporting items.
