No music, no drama, no Red Bull, no annoying twisty jumps, no bells, no whistles and no frills.... ....just 1000% pure simple high octane.... to the beautiful sounds of nature ! This... is.... ART !
That was so immersive. I could feel my heart rate elevating as you nerved yourself up for the initial jump. That was followed by the exhilaration of flying and the tranquillity of the cow bells as things calm back down after a perfect performance in beautiful surroundings. So little editing or annoying sound effects, yet the result was a perfect little video essay. Thank you for posting.
I have not jumped for many yrs, when I did it was from a perfectly good air-transport of sort - you guys have my greatest respect for jumping off a perfect Mountain - I do not fear the elevations - but the side of the mountain and gusty winds, that's a different story - BRAVO!!
I would love to try a wingsuit. Then again, my palms sweat up and I get that dizzying falling feeling in my stomach even when The Road Runner lures Wile E. Coyote over the edge of a cliff. So perhaps not.
Of all the _epic_ exits for base jumping in the world (of which there are MANY) this one has got to be one of the best! Thank you for sharing. Stay safe-ish out there and blue skies my man!!
My heads spins when I stand on tissue paper....I positively throw up getting on a bike...that's why I admire chaps who do this, calmly, effortlessly and courageously....proper job!
I’ve been a lot of places and wondered how they even got certain things in places the first time. A great CZcams for this is Action Adventure Twins, sometimes deep in those caves they come across things and it’s like how’d that even get there the first time?
Firstly I'd like to say y'all are Insane!!.. scared to cross that little cable yet ya jump off a mountain!! Good Gawd that's some beautiful scenery.. all wind and Cow bells! Nice.
I wonder who got across to that rock to put the bolt in before the cable was there! "That's scary" Says a guy climbing across a wire cable to an insane rock he's about to launch off.
I truly appreciate the fact that the last to jumpers weren't trying to cheat death by skimming as close as possible to the rocks. That improves their odds greatly.
He did not. He had a tracking suit. Basically a wingsuit without the wings. Still inflates and gives you better glide than nothing, and a little safer since you have full range of motion with your arms.
@@SMacCuUladh Maybe GPS tags would be more humane. Those bells would drive them nuts... The shepherds could also use drones to locate and herd them in. It's 2024 ya know 🤣
Love that movie. And Cliffhanger w Stalone is awesome. The Mountain was the first movie I'd seen about Mountaineering and I watch and read as much as I can. The Mountain is a pretty Old Movie but it's very Good !
Just a quick question from someone who's only experience of base jumping is jumping of the side of a building as a kid, with a bed sheet made into a parachute! Is there a reason that you didn't extend the fly time to land in either Lauterbrunnen or Grindelwald?
Scaring that cow ruined someone's dinner, the bells are to stop them moving too much😅😅😅😅 Fantastic, especially the wire to get to the rock. I wish this was about when i was young. Happy jumping.
The fact that there are pebbles on top of that rock for you to kick off is evidence that the rock is still actively deteriorating...and I would guess that it is relatively rapidly deteriorating based on the number of stones that I saw.
"That was f**king scary" 1:22 coming from the mouth of a wingsuit flyer kinda takes the biscuit! So these guys do get scared then! Some flight though. If I was that cow that ruddy bell would drive me insane.
I didn't really pay attention to the title, when you turned around after the landing i realized it was the Eiger ! The first to take the jump went straight ahead (and down ofc), you went to the left... so you didn't tell him you parked the car in the valley on the left ? Mean !! Up there, the grinding sound of the carabiner on the cable was... something.
Clipped onto a steel rope with a harness.
"This is scary" - Man about to jump off the side of a mountain.... lol
100% exactly what I was thinking!
I suppose it's out of the jumpers comfort zone😂
I think he was afraid of heights . . .
Beat me to it!
I live vicariously through them

@@odl21 That makes this video 100% complete. No crap + doesn't need more cowbell = perfect!

i agree.
no bells?
Cow: Hold my bell...
That cured my constipation, thanks.

Great ! A video without music, we can hear the cows bells ringing ! 😊
More cow bells!
What did you expect? The Pie of the Eiger?
All of their nervous laughter at the beginning is hilarious. Probably the only way to deal with it
Beavis and butthead it just shows their dumb.
To be honest: I wouldn't laugh, I'd sh*t my trousers!
Thank you for posting this and letting us fly with you. Could never do this myself.
ive never got vertigo watching a film before - until now
Same here. I’m not afraid of heights at all but that camera view got my stomach. Such and Awesome video.
The first jumper - the guy wearing blue and sans wingsuit looks like he just crashed into the face. I never saw his chute deploy.
He’s fine my camera just can’t depict detail from a distance
He looked super close to the rock face. That was cutting it really fine! Wow.
I littery thought he was dying
yeah old mate is fukd up now head where his ass use to be
Trying to get my wife to take-up this hobby.
After that death defying leap into the void I was half expecting the cow to gore them to death...
Indeed. Like those Kangaroos that attacked that paraglider. lol
LMAO

Damn.. that boulder looks like it could fall at any time
The Kanzeli is actually more solid and less crumbly than any routes on the face Great clip 👍
I love the very last comment: "silly cow." And the cow's thought bubble should be: "And who just jumped off a mountain?"
Now that is funny!
Now that’s what you call a death wish, I just lost my nuts watching it
I was in awe at the BOTTOM of the Eiger! Much less the top! Cool stuff.
I would love to try a wingsuit. Then again, my palms sweat up and I get that dizzying falling feeling in my stomach even when The Road Runner lures Wile E. Coyote over the edge of a cliff. So perhaps not.
It's over so quickly, but the feeling must be so liberating while it lasts.

It is. Can’t wait to get back to it this year. Blue skies friend
I used to jump a lot several decades ago, no base jumps but man it looks fun! Stay safe, and enjoy. 🤜
Stay safe are u stupid how can they be safe doing this stupid activity.

Pink Floyd lyric ! 😛
For myself, I’m getting Coyote/Roadrunner vertigo before he even jumps…the guy’s totally BANANAS‼️
Oh Man, for once a video with no music that allows us to hear and sense the DEEP PEACE. Beautiful.

That rock pillar looks real sturdy.
Thinking exactly the same, looks like it's going to go very soon
When it falls, we should hold people like this accountable.
@@AFMR0420 Yeah, because there is no such thing as erosion 🙄

Damn that was amazing. Kinda missed out on the wing suits. Matter of fact I'm from the era of round chutes. Thanks for the vicarious jump.
Balls of steel you have. Many thanks!
The death defying feat before the death defying feat. Crazy
There should be a mini-documentary on the guy that set the rope! Was HE/SHE wearing a parachute!?

Never in a million years nor for any amount of money!!!

I’ve seen cuter cows but the video delivered on its promise.
There's been approximately 400 wing suit deaths to date, or 1 out of every 500 jumps!
I like those odds
I truly appreciate the fact that the last to jumpers weren't trying to cheat death by skimming as close as possible to the rocks. That improves their odds greatly.
The cow must think you are crazy and so do I. You must also be crazy well-off to spend your time this way.
The guy who jumped first didn't appear to have much of a wing suit but damn he hauled ass. How was he able to stay aloft with so little fabric?
He did not. He had a tracking suit. Basically a wingsuit without the wings. Still inflates and gives you better glide than nothing, and a little safer since you have full range of motion with your arms.
@@basethekid
You forgot to mention he deployed his enormous ballsack to assist him in his glide ...
Yeah... Whew! You guys better be careful crossing that! Wouldn't want to hurt yourselves.
Not in a billion years would I do that, but I once did a bungee jump!
Holy cow, those bells are LOUD!
poor cow....thats horrible.....!
they have to be to find the cows and goats in the alps

The bells need to be loud because their horns don't work!

I was in a smaller suit so I don’t think I could have made it to Lauterbrunnen unless I had some jet engines on me
Had me at cute cow
smooth af landings
Way cool, well done, what a stunning area, I was there 2023.

Nice jump, good flight time.. scenery there is sweet.
I’m terrified just watching!
Kudos.. that was a scary endeavor..
The cow bells are great.
Doesn't look like much has changed since Clint climbed the Eiger...."North Face, of course!"
Serious cow bells
Oh and that cow made me laugh
Best that i’ve watched tonight and i started out with F-35s
That laugh is sick
I did something like the cable transfer in my younger days at a 650 foot waterfall ,i am now thinking " what was i thinking" !
Enjoy it while it lasts brother !
Just a matter of time.
My toes were tingling the whole time.
So on on earth did they get that steel cable to that rock in the first place?
My palms are sweating!!!!! Why am I watching this?!
What happen to the first guy that jumped? Either he thought he was wearing a wing suit or just forget to pull on his parachute cord.
Gosh! You are B R A V E! 😮
My bowel wouldn't let me do it. 💩
I have an extreme fear of heights. Do you advise that I take up wingsuit flying?
Yes
more cowbell
I watched this for the cow :)
Когда не знаешь как побыстрее сломать шею 😂
Must be a long walk back up to the parking spot
200 meters in front of them is Männlichen gondula station, behind them, also ca. 300 meters is Kleine Scheidegg train station xD.
I admire the balls. I'm wondering though: do you take all of the hardware and wires with you?
It’s a small harness and carabiner. There’s a storage pocket between the legs that fits a good amount of gear. The wire is permanently installed.
Pure madness. 🤙
Balls of Steel, awesome......🙂
That’s a whole lot of nope from me
The fact that there are pebbles on top of that rock for you to kick off is evidence that the rock is still actively deteriorating...and I would guess that it is relatively rapidly deteriorating based on the number of stones that I saw.
Wish i had the balls to have a go😮
Did they fall faster with the brass balls they were carrying?
Is it the mushroom of the Eiger ? 😊 I'm too scared to do it ! A tyrolienne before a jump ? Crazy ! 😮
Yes, it is.

What railroad did the jumpers land near at the end?
I love a good game of dice with my old friend T.G.R. Funny how lately I've found better things to do though. 🙂
Looks like the game Death Stranding. But with parachutes and cow instead of zip lines
You can skip all the prep and start with the jump at the 4:35 mark. Less than 2-1/2 mins of this video show the actual flying.
Chest pain just watching.
