By far the most outstanding MC707 vids online ✨ .. At this level your vids really deserve a 2nd camera focused on the LCD that you can input as a overlay window in the lower corner. Thank you for the work

Another great video. There’s always something new to me and lots of reminders or different workflow options and shortcuts.👍

Thank you for a great tutorial! Is there any way to edit drum pitch on a per step basis without the entire kit being effected?

Could you comment on getting samples to record in mono? I am trying to figure out ways of maximising the RAM and storage of a project but I ran into the sample memory problem and haven't figured out a way to get over it. I would like ot know how much time we could get out of this device with looper audio.

I never remember all the shortcuts, need to make stickers or tape to write on, like the motion step, never remember that, and it's very powerful feature!

Also didn't know i could use the value knob to scroll thru a sequence and rest to extend the note, thanks again!

How do you rate the 707 vs the Play + btw?? , in workflow, sonic quality and end results as a performance instrument..was set on the Play before this channel popped up 😉

Wildly different gear. Thats the best i got. Pretty much any gear thats a groovebox will almost be guaranteed to operate differently and each has quirks that bring results so different that it's worth owning the ones youre interested in. I make my videos to show possible workflows so feel free to review those , should be able to make good ideas from whats shown.

@@RonCavagnaro thanks for the reply.. indeed very different, I'll try to leave my impressions from observation without having used these myself. The 707 is a mothership both in design of sound and groove. The soul reasons I always stayed away from it is; what I assume" is the fiddly editing; once you are in advanced modes/ layering partials and samples, your videos show the surprisingly fast and easy editing via shortcuts but you've yet to go in advanced layering, even the drum kits are full of synth options and eagerly I await to see this work speed in practice
yet I am quite convinced the Play will be my choice(size +flow) due to me travelling 24/7. . It's an incredible creative and fast sequencer with a brilliant song arranger it really speaks to me, as do the synth plugins.
Both are obviously the right choice as both have such accelerated feature sets. I will say though from monitoring your vids and perhaps you can comment on this; is that your drums on 707 throughout your span of pitching remained incredibly punchy, be it with MFX or not the kick and snare where always punchy and the hat was always crispy,.they all had separation and clarity. I've yet to hear this in person but this level of Fidelity I did not notice as much on the play which sounded more raw/lofi. /?.. gorgeous reverb super tight/detailed delays.. It does not sound bad in any way (could even say the Roland sound is rather polished/HiFi but that clarity and punch the 707 was pushing was not as presented on the play or is it?..
Would love your take on it as well as comparison on lofi, drive and compression fx between the two as these are key elements on puncy drums. Muchos Gracias 💕

@@PlayBackRate whoa great comment i have no idea which is more punchy but a lot of the drums on mc707 i ran through mfx overdrive or gtr amp. I like all of it every tool is so unique. I am actually just using looper on mc707 and it is a blast!
