Happy Easter weekend brother.
He's at it again folks. I can't wait to get out next week - finally... WHO ELSE IS FISHIN' SOON?! Can't wait to watch this man :)
Went to a small Pay-As-You-Go Lake, around 10-11 Miles from my Apartment. Caught 3 Largemouth Bass, and 4 Nice-Sized Bluegills.
I'll be back out but probably not this weekend with the wind! Had a good last few days and should be getting even better as it gets warmer.
Went yesterday for 8 hours and caught 20 bass and my buddy caught 7.
His biggest was over 5lbs!
Caught a couple crappie this afternoon.

Creek smallies are finally starting to hit in pa. I went out and did some mountain biking in a state park I’ve never been to. I saw that they had a little creek so I took my waders and rod and hooked a couple dinks. Happy Easter y’all
This reminds me of a lot of the stuff i used to fish. Its amazing where the fish will be sometimes and occasionally there are some big bass where you don't expect them. Nice sunfish!

Most people would never even think to toss a line, but you never fail to deliver.
That little creek was definitely loaded with the Red Breast, and that little bass right towards the end was a pleasant surprise.

Sometimes those roadside stop and fish days turn out to be pretty good videos. I filmed yesterday afternoon in a small Creek that I filmed on a week ago and just barely caught any fish, so… I know of a place just like the one you fished, so I may hit it to finish my video🤔 . You should come down i75 and do a video fishing below the Altoona dam on the Etowah River around Cartersville Georgia. Good spots and twelve inch yellow perch.
i had planned stop at the etowah on my way back but it was really muddy when i got there. last monday i think

I can’t believe you fished the mall Lol glad you got bites in there. The creek you fished is part of a larger water redirecting system and flows through lake bottom park, and often gets really high during rainy seasons.

That's in my backyard. Haven't hit that creek up yet. Usually hit the ones that flow into the hooch. Let me know if you want to hit the rapids next time, or the other creek that one runs into.

John you need to fish creeks that empty into ponds or lakes and fish when it rains where the creek widens out at the pond. You’ll catch giant bass that way.

Living in Florida I remember me and my friends walking by a drainage pipe out in a field, and inside this little pool of water were bluegill.

I will admit that i get little joy from catching Bluegill, pumpkinseeds , etc. I can catch Rock Bass all day and be thrilled, same for crappie. These small creeks and their Small largemouth and smallmouths are till my favorite fishing past time.

You should use the silverspinning technique in waters like that, a worm or maggots on it and you catch 100+ in a few hours

Columbus, Georgia? Looks like the water was higher earlier, judging from the grass. The world record largemouth bass was caught in water about that shallow and about 150 miles southeast of there.
It's some creek fishing old school style, it's not about the size of your catch but about the quality of your adventure. If somebody thinks fishing in the middle of Columbus ga beside a 4 lane highway is an adventure they are living a life that's too wild for you tube consumption! Lol

That last place is a good place to find potential murder weapons.
The last time I fished that creek, it was so overgrown that most of those deep holes were inaccessible. I will have to hit it again and maybe bring a fly rod. If I had known you were in town, I would have asked to borrow your kayak. I suspect there is a white bass run in one of those Hooch tributaries. I caught a few the last time I was chasing stripers on the Hooch, and I suspect there are more upstream, but the banks do not allow for easy access.
