    I have 30k on my RX4, orange, and just sold it so I could buy the 2021. I miss the orange, my favorite color, but the TFT dash, tubeless spoke wheels and built in pressure sensors are awesome additions. Being able to sync my phone to the dash is a nice bonus too.
    My wife just got hers in yellow, I have the blue, and we are heading across country for the next 12 months on only these bikes. No repairs had to be done to my 2020 RX4, other than general maintenance. One new set of tires outside the oils changes and filters.
    Bike has been superb. We did two up for a while because my wife thought it was too big for her, but when her bike was having issues recently, she had to ride it 90 miles home while I rode her bike. She loved it. Said she didn't know why it had her intimidated, but she could handle it just fine.
    So now we can travel with a bit more gear since she will have her own bike to ride.
    Anyone on the fence about these bikes, these are excellent bikes. Consider what you are paying, and then what you get. If you treat the bike with respect, it will take care of you. Yes, it's made in china and yes it's cheaper than other bikes...but that doesn't necessarily mean crap. I have been impressed 1000 fold over how well this bike has run, how it holds up to wear and tear, and even how easy and comfortable it is to ride.
    We were doing a tank of gas a day, about 250 miles on average, and never felt like we were getting beat up. I have a 10 thousand dollar Honda that didn't ride this smooth. Hey, it's not a Goldwing, and it's not a BMW 1200, but it's also only 5 grand.
    If you get a chance to sit on one, do it. If you see one, ask if you can touch it and hear it run. It will likely impress you that it's a Chinese made bike. I could have bought two used VStroms for 1000 more than the two new RX4's we bought, but the value just wasn't there. Solid luggage, built in USB and 12v Charging ports, TFT dash, Tubeless spoked wheels, pressure sensors, auto headlights, LED lighting all the way around, ABS...the list goes on.
    It's not perfect, and if you want to nitpick it death, you can...but you can with any bike really. What you get for 5k, it's unheard of. If these bikes every "Take off", watch the big four get nervous. I know CSC sells out regularly, so that says something about it already.
    Love seeing more people with the RX4, it's just such a great bike. And with all the features, even adding the mods like you did, you still paid far less than you would for a bike from the big four.
    Peace.

      Hi, thank you for the great write up! My only real concern at this point is the sustained top speed abilities. Here in a AZ and surrounding areas, traffic often moves at 85mph plus and I don't want to be having people passing me because I can't go fast enough. Can you please tell me what real world highway speeds are like on this bike? Thank you!

    I love the size of his bike, the footprint is perfect. Honestly for a 450cc single it has impressive power numbers, especially when you consider how restricted and buttoned-up it is to pass not only Federal but California emissions regulations. Still, I wished it had just a little more power. I would be all over this bike if you could cruise easily at 80 miles an hour all day and have reliable passing power up to 100 miles an hour. I don't want a bike much bigger than this. God knows I don't want a tired old Cruiser design.

    Try change the front countershaft (I think it's the name in English) lower the rpm keep the speed. I don't know how many points are in the original, but try increase by one (ex: 14 =>15)
    Hope that model (RX4) arrives in Portugal

    Nice vid and a lot of upgrades. I am in the market for light weight dual sport or enduro bike, and this particular bike is taking my attention, this is around lower 5k OTD delivered to your home but with all these upgrades I was wondering if I won't be ending paying same price of an used KTM 390 adding up a few upgrades. I am a Miami rider also so we are on the same page here.

    • @popupsmiami1580
      @popupsmiami1580  Před 3 lety +3

      The KTM is definitely going to perform Better Off Road. This bike is amazing for the price, but in stock form it's more suited for highway riding. The way I have it right now is great I'm just waiting for that rear sprocket but you really have to ride the clutch. On real rough Terrain. Keep in mind though the KTM has a lot more complicated maintenance. The most complicated maintenance this bike has is every 5,000 miles you have to adjust the valves with a feeler gauge. The KTM is shim on bucket design so you're going to have to take that to a dealer unless you have a shop

    Have you had any issues re-using the OEM grip on the new bars? Also for anyone watching, the placement of those lights (especially the Aluminum nilights) is risky, if the engine guard gets bent from hitting the ground, the light may hit the tank. This happened to me and dented the tank. I purchased pod lights and mounted them forwards and underslung as a result.

    I would love to HEAR all of what you say, instead of just pieces of it ! .... I love the RX4.... and plan to get one asap.
    I am surprised you wasted your money on the aluminum luggage and skid plate though... when the stock stuff is probably adequate for anything but a full out enduro. changing the chain was another waste of money I think... but it's so hard to hear you it's really hard to say.... bark busters are a must in my mind and the new bars and risers are personal preference things
    unless you found the bars too bendable???? get a real mic so we can hear you or hold it closer ! sheez

    • @popupsmiami1580
      @popupsmiami1580  Před 3 lety

      Again i apologize for the audio. I do have a mic but i forgot it at home. Might reshoot/voiceover later. The skidplate is 100% necessary if you try to climb anything. Stock one is great for deflecting rocks kicked back from the front tire, but unless you want a cracked crank case or bent frame, i suggest you get a "bash plate" like this instead. As for the luggage, the stock boxes were great for General commuting but the left one leaked water in all the time, and I found it wasn't enough for trips that were more than 4 days considering I take a passenger when traveling. The chain might have been good, but i didn't want to risk it. I have had chains break/stick themselves between the front sprocket and it wasn't fun when going 40mph when it happens. Stock handlebars will bend on first drop. If you have never tasted the kool-aid of never having to worry about ever bending your bars back when you get back home after dropping the bike 5-7 times on rough climbs or sandrocks, then I guess stock is fine 😉.

    • @AnyManProjects
      @AnyManProjects Před 3 lety +1

      Kind of rude, don't you think? Especially considering he did those of us looking at these bikes a huge favor by making the video. A "waste of money" in your eyes is not going to be truth in someone else's. For instance, the aluminum luggage is larger, and MUCH harder to break into... so how is it a waste exactly? The chain is usually my first upgrade on any bike since they are cheap, and often a point of failure even on new Japanese bikes. Handlebars are another great investment. If you're a bigger guy like me (6.2-245) just your weight and hard off road riding can bend cheap bars. Bending them back often results in them snapping apart. Safe travels, and be nice.

    • @bobkelly2447
      @bobkelly2447 Před 3 lety

      @@AnyManProjects Yes Kinda' I suppose and I regret that, but straight and to the point is usually better than mincing words and trying not to hurt some ones feelings, My impression is that this guy just threw as much money at this bike as he possibly could... and for what reason? the bike is quite capable on it's own, but throw money at it, is always better for some one that HAS MONEY.... Not everyone is Rich !
      I will definitely check on the items like bars, chain and bash plate , but it already has those, how bad can they be ?....
      my bike is pre ordered now, and should be here in August. a very long time to wait for my bike !!!!!
      as for the handle bars, I will go with the stock ones until I bend them, then I'll replace them. but I've yet to find affordable handle bars that were any stronger than stock ones... ( More expensive things does not mean their higher quality.... ) Sorry if I Ruffled anyone's feathers ! that was not my intent. my intent was to ask WHY? and point out the bike is already capable.... are you actually making it better by throwing money at it ? or just making yourself feel better ?
