It's a little funny that Daisy the dog has the tiniest amount of screentime, but is pretty much the 2nd most talked about character in this whole franchise, even though most folks don't even remember the dog's name.

I hate to have to point it out, but that's the trope for revenge movies. Who or whatever is being avenged usually has a tiny amount of screen time, but in that time, we're made to really feel for them, so that we want to root for the "hero" going on a vengeance rampage. Daisy is definitely one of the ones that stands out, being an adorable puppy and John's last link to his wife.

This movie single handedly reinvented modern action movies. Keanu sets the standards so high and because of his dedication to training for his roles now a lot of movies send their actors to go to similar firearms and bjj training to undertake their roles. No Stallone hip firing unlimited rounds with no reloads or using cover. There's a fan theory that John's wife was a veterinarian, that's how he knew about the clinic, which was also close to where she died.
So, in my own personal head canon, Daisy came from the clinic, and John's wife acclimated the dog to him by exposing her to his clothes that bore his scent. She trained Daisy to associate John with love and comfort. That's why the dog took to him so quickly and crawled to him as she was dying.

His suit is also black, so is his car (contrary to his wife's car, which is white) and so on. His wife definitely brought light to his life and we see this not only through the cars' colors, but (among other things) the Daisy dog, which was a tiny, fragile female with white fur, while John Wick, at the end of the movie, ends up rescuing a dog, but the dog is larger, stronger, it's a male and its fur is dark.

Viggos son would have never met John cause he left “5 and change” years ago and most likely kid was at a boarding school back home cause he has an accent and in his early 20’s so they knew about the son but no one knew what he looked like hence why John didn’t know him either only by name (Aurelio’s garage)

The stuntmen in this film helped plan the fight scenes and how to film them so you are always right where the action is. Keanu trained for months for this movie with guns, reloading how to move with them and hand to hand fighting. I have seen Police SWAT people and marines, navy seals and martial artists analyse the scenes and they all say he is spot on with everything. It was due to these facts that this film looked so good and got so well rec'd by everyone.

So I think the best indicator of just how seriously people take John Wick is when the Russian calls the mechanic and is ready to start fishing out the threats and warnings, until the mechanic answers (after the Russian father asks if he actually had the nerve to hit his son), he says "Yes sir, I did. Well...umm...sir I hit him because he stole John Wick's car and killed his dog.". It's the very simple "Oh". That the old man says. Suddenly no longer angry at the mechanic in any way as if to say "Well yeah, if you didn't hit him I would have.". That small little "Oh.". Says everything. LOL.

The floors were here when I moved in (the house is 89 years old). Nothing ever stained it. Not cat urine from a dying cat. Not dog poop with diarrhea, not red wine - nothing. When sealed, it cleans as easy as high grade linoleum.

The action choreography is so good because the movie is co-directed by stuntman Chad Stahelski, who was previously known for being Keanu's stunt double on The Matrix Trilogy. Needless to say, John Wick was created with Keanu specifically in mind.

Marcus is the only one Vigo went to personally to ask to go after John, for a reason. Marcus is a highly skilled assassin, he's not quite at John level, but he's up there. Vigo also knew they were long time friends, and was scared of them joining forces, that's also why he approached Marcus specially.
Marcus could have killed John any of these times he was there. He was lying saying he' kill him, to give him cover to help John instead.

I've said it before but one of the things i appreciate about the John wick franchise is that there's not any real level of classical cockiness from the villain. Viggo doesn't just assume one guy can take john out, he's looking to get as many men as possible to squash this, and aside from the ending he never puts himself in a 1v1 or unfavorable situation against John. It's always making sure the numbers are stacked because hes so dangerous. John is just that good

1: A bit of warm/fuzzy: The actor who played the thug that "killed" Daisy actually felt super bad about it and developed a bond with the puppy and bought it from its owner/handler. There's some "fan wank" theories about the puppy crawling to John, but evidence actually points to her being dragged over to him or possibly scooted/kicked across the floor, then positioned next to him, for added insult to injury/mafia scare tactic stuff. This is the John Wick version of the popular severed horse's head trope/cliche.
2: The coins are explained in the third movie as having no actual value. They're symbolic. Just fancy arcade tokens/poker chips that the various underwold people use for transactions. Likely to avoid paper trials and money laundering and whatnot. Less chance of having to deal with the IRS.
3: Marcus is a great red herring. Everyone thinks he's the bad guy, right up until he comments about saving John's life.
4: Hilarious that Mayhem from the Allstate commercials gets taken out by a car. He laughs because Vigo gave him a gun with only one bullet. Just completely mind broken at that moment.
5: Part 2 shows why he loves the car. I won't spoil that here.
6: Remember that Vigo says that John is the guy you send to kill the boogeyman. So, yeah, while he's been retired for a few years, he's still one of the apex level assassins in the world.
7: When he's talking to the guy at the door to the Red Circle, he's asking in code about how many bodyguards Iosif has. Since the guard was honest with him, John decided to let him go. This goes with your comments about him not being fully evil. John may be an assassin, but he's got a code of honor. Possibly instilled in him by Winston, who's a friend and mentor, and possible father figure. He'll kill you if he has to, but if you're not hostile towards him, not helping someone who is, and not someone he's been contracted to kill, chances are he'd rather not kill you. Even seen with him trying to give Perkins a second chance, despite knowing that she's willing to break the rules.
