You could fit adjustable extension brackets to the shed but fit a block of timber first to the shed slats then screw the extension brackets to the block and adjust it till it is snug to pipes. Also lag all the exposed pipes wrapped and tied with stainless steel wire.
Wow that’s a lovely bit of kit you have there nice to see the fish gathering around the inlet for warmth 😆 It’s a bit late now but I was taught when fitting pipe work do and dry fix first so as you are happy with the setup and out lay then start to glue the joints together and mark the joints as you go along with a felt pen that way you know what’s been glued and what ones haven’t ( just a tip for anyone else who is planning any pipe work) Great video M8
I did do a dry fit and marked them up. Don't know what happened when I was gluing them together 🤣 it's not the first time, I forgot on on the high pressure pump aswell. Water hit the ceiling when I turned that on. You would have thought I'd have learned by now 🤷♂️😂

I have a bit of wood like you. At the time it was temporary but it's still there a year later doing a great job of holding the pipe lol. That total on your smart meter was for Gas and electric, you need to press the button with the gas and spark to change it to just electric. Got the same screen too. Amazing the difference in the fish with a bit of heat, great seeing them gathering round the pipe hehe. Cheers.
Got some clips aswell not but the wood is staying put I think 🤣 I've got a proper power meter on it now so I'll know an exact total for just the heat pump, I'll keep you updated. Cost me 18p in the last 48 hours and I've put it up to 13 aswell

Well done on fitting the air source heat pump,you must have got the patients of a saint with those leaks.Looks like it's a good unit. I haven't got one on my pond but have one doing the house heating . There can be a lot of condensation from them in the winter,especially when they go into a defrost cycle so it would help to have good drainage under it. And try to keep a good blocks width from the floor so it doesn't sit in the ice that forms from the condensation.
Was definitely losing my patience with it, there was a fair bit of swearing cut from those clips 🤣 well worth it in the end though. Thanks for the tips on running it, it's raised up a full block so hopefully be ok. I guess ice shouldn't be an issue untill next winter now, think we're past the worst of it 🤞

Just fitted my ashp and fired it up Sunday for first time, went from 7.4 to 10 overnight, going for 15 by the end of week, think they ara great pieces of kit, fish are loving the warmer water, just got to tweak bypass to get 2 deg differential between in/out temps at the ashp, been caught out a couple of times myself where I haven't glued a joint lol 😁, wasn't as lucky as you, water gushing everywhere lol 😁
What one have you gone for? I'm well impressed so far. I'm going to leave it at 12 for a week to see how much it costs then slowly bring it up to 15. What flow have you got going through it. Mines on 5k and I've not check them temp differential yet, need to have a look. I'm a nightmare with forgetting joints. I missed 2 on the pressure pump for the drum. Water was hitting the shed ceiling when I first turned it on 😂💦
@@dannycurrie1 Danny, I went for thermotec 9kw, flow rate I'm not sure, I run a auga 20000 pump and she's set at 75%, so I suppose allowing for pipe runs/restrictions etc, probably around 10000 lts/hr. Your ashp should show on the display in/out temps, you want around 1.5 - 2 deg difference.

Did you know that ASHP’s need to be 3.0 m from an adjacent property. My local Planning Dept are insisting I apply for Planning Permission including an Acoustic Assessment. This came about because I am looking to install an ASHP for the house and since I have the one for the pond I need to apply for Planning for that one as well. No one mentions Planning when you buy the unit.
Upfront costs puts people off, for obvious reasons. But they really do pay for themselves, over other heaters. Love the way the fish noticed the heat haha. As for the bit of wood on the pipework. Have a look airduct hangers etc, I'm sure you'll find something to work.
Yeah not cheap atall to buy but like you say, probably pay for itself in a year. I've got some pipe slips on it now against the shed so hopefully will be fine 🤞

Looks a good ashp. Koi are loving it. Tell me about it mate leaks iv got one on my outlet on the k1 bead. Iv had to turn it off until i have time to repair it when im not at work very frustrating as its not a quick job this repair.

@@dannycurrie1 put CT1 clear on it that will stop the leak n use washing up liquid on your fingers to spread it. Im buying some today to cure my leak which is where a hosetail meets the bead outlet. Cheers 👍🐟

Hi mate, how have you got on with the remora heat pump? My pond is 1000 gallon, thinking of getting an air source heat pump! Not sure what make time go for though, they ain’t cheap! How have your bills been since you had it?
Honestly it's the best thing I've bought for my pond. Really hasn't cost that much all winter. £5-6 a week to hold 15. At 17 degrees now. Costing 60p a day ish. Not had an issue with it. Going forward I plan to use it more in the summer for max growth. Costs next to nothing to run in the summer months. Was costing £5-10 a month max to hold 22 degrees all summer last year

@@bezzaskoichannel3856 can't remember how much it was. They have gone up since then though. I went for the remora mostly because it was in stock when I wanted it and it was slightly cheaper. The guys on the phone were very helpful and knowledgeable which swung me that way. You don't hear a bad word about remora or thermotec to be honest.

Yeah the bottom is a little bit of a disappointment. It rained heavily between putting the underlay in and getting it filled up, trapped alot of water and sloppy mud under the liner. Thought it would flatten out a little more than it did. My old pond was done the same way but I got it all in when it was dry and it was fine. Waste doesn't seem to be settling but it's a little late to change it now. I'm happy with how the window is done. It's super neat and it's not leaking. The water would seep between the next row of sleepers if it was

It's a remora i9 although I now have an i12 as the first unit had a few problems so they swapped it. Running costs depend on how large your pond is and how well insulated, outside temperature and what temperature you set it at so there's no set figure. For me to keep my insulated but poorly covered 10000l pond at 16 degrees it's cost a little under £20 for April
