Music was invented in India
India is rich of music and please react to lata mangeshkar , she is the lady sing more than 25,000 songs in 20 different languages
React on " Agar tum sath ho, Mahi ve " Mix tape.
it's a very popular song in india.
These are mostly folk songs, hence in simpler scales. Indian classical music is another thing. The two sided drum is the original drum of India from 1000s of yrs. tabla is only 800 years old and used more for classical music.
You mean Pakhawaj and Mridhamgam right?
In this case, the two sided drum is called ‘Dholki’. It is mostly used in folk songs in Indian state of Maharashtra.
the skin on the two sided drum called dholak are held taut by ropes running on the surface of the drum, and these can be tightened by rings strategically knotted in. In the tabla, the right side has wooden pegs that can be hammered down to fine tune it.
Since the hosts have wondered what rhythm is used in Tabla, as in time cycles, let me elaborate. The most basic scale in India is 8 beats. Some light songs also go on 6 beats. But, classical musicians love a 16 beat rhythm that goes: dha dhin dhin na, dha dhin dhin na, dha TIN TIN na, TA dhin dhin na. Then, the next most popular is 7 beats and then 10 beats, and then 14 beats. Zakir Hussain can also play 9 beat, 15 1/2, 19 etc. :o
@@HemanthKumarJadhav That's not Mridangam it's Thavil and the Dreamum Wakapum is not a Folk song 😑 it's a stereotypical song about South Indians
It's a stereotype that Indian Food is spicey. Like Indian music Indian Food is also very diverse. You will get all sort of flavours and taste not just spicey. You can try foods like Butter Chicken with Naan, Pulao, Malai Kofta, Plain Dosa, Dhokla, Dahi puri, Samosa, Gulab Jamun etc.
Vada pav😂
I would say try plain dosa. He might find masala dosa spicy tho.
Spices are adjustable according to one's taste. You can tell to chef to keep spices low.
@Namename nam Lastlarast lol , i did once serve Gulab Jamun in office and a white colleague said I did manage to sneak some spice in it because of the cardamom flavour. He was just joking though. He did enjoy it a lot saying the sweet level is lower than the restaurant Gulab Jamun. It was a compliment when all came back for more during coffee breaks.
Efra here ✌🏼. Brother. You and I, have to go out to eat. I'll let you guide me dawg.
India is so diverse, that it’s music is diverse too. It’s like a whole new world in a sub-continent. From North- South- East- West, music and instruments are used differently to create some amazing musically. But it all started from the unique Indian music culture which got developed since ages. Classic to Folk to Indie to rock/rap to Bollywood, Indian music is something we can always be proud of. Polished into perfection in its own way.
17:25 Song of Punjab chorus was "Pura(whole) London Thumakda(is dancing/vibing)" and ironically both of you from London ended up dancing to it 👍🏽😜🙏🏽
heyy....its not different version of tabla..its different version of" Dholak"
dholak is something that we love to play in every kind of happy occasion...while singing.🤗🤑
Holi 😝
that was not dholak, that was dholaki. totally different thing.
@@AMOL29 areee yaarr..dholak ke family se hai na..?

Guys sadly you missed the last song in this video.
But there is only a misconception that Indian food is spicy. Spices are adjustable according to one's taste. Just tell chef to keep spices low. You should try Indian food share your experience with us 😀
yeah that last part was great.

It's India
Country with 8000+ year history and culture
Past belonged to India
Future belongs to India
It's just the language restrictions
Otherwise India has the potential to rule this music industry, more than English songs 🙂
Wow ♥️ I love Indian instruments and also I love your beauty queen (sushmita, the former Ms. Universe) yes - I'm from 🇵🇭
She is amazing person and such a strong person :) love from India
React to "Afreen Afreen" by "Rahat Fateh Ali Khan" Coke Studio. He's a legend and his vocals are on the next level. You would love it!

"Bandeh Live by Indian Ocean" is also a really good choice..!!! have a taste of Indian rock.
Great..
That's a neat song.
Oh absolutely!
He sung that in Dhaka, Bangladesh folk concert and I loved evry bit of it.
if u want to listen to a very serious and aggressive drum instrument from indian classical tradition, check Pakhawaj
The beauty in the lyrics is something that can't be explained in simpler words.
Exactly like you can try translation but it won't touch them like it does to us... lyrics are so precious
Now that's what we call indian music ...it can make any one groove ...but must say a lot of regions were missing ...so just imagine if all were included...
You have to listen to Mahesh Kale to get a true taste of Indian classical music
very true
Its too early for them. It will go over their head.
Yeah
These guys here are the most musically genius people I have ever known.
Same here dude...i love when their videos come regarding indian music....i just love their reviews
Not gonna lie I have been patiently waiting for this since the first reaction where one of the full songs was featured! 👏
The instrument that you were calling tabla is actually Dholak(or Naal) which is older than tabla itself. Both these instruments are believed to be a different version of another older instrument called "Pakhawaj" which is also a two sided drum with low scale tone.
You guys relate it to Spanish Music which I love. I like when you guys talk details.
My God i like her so much......if she will not there i am out of this man....i really really enjoy her energy, her expression, explanation.......... .......
India is a different World in itself, every state has it's own music style, it's own instrument, it's own language, tune everything and it's really fun😍❤......
Foods in India are as diverse as we are. We dont eat just spice. Our foods varies from as dull as western food to as spicy as Korean noodles 🤣

My personal favourite is Inception.
In short, India is unexplainable.
Whether In terms of Language, Facial Feature, Landscape, Music, Folks, Mentality, etc
India does not work much for pleasure,
We live for Joy ❕
As for the food, every person starts off that way. Then they get adjusted to it.

Dude you missed the last part.. It was still left. Anyway love your reactions. It shows that you understand music as well as enjoy music so much. Thank you for reacting to this. This is one of my favourite live performances. 😊
This just reminds me of the great melodic time before 2016-2017 with catchy songs and good (and more rich) music. And 'the peaceful and (the pride and the pure feeling) in having unity in diversity' times before 2014.
I am so happy that you guys reacted to this.
Please react to "mahesh kale's kanada raja pandharicha".🙏

Listen to the Berklee College of Music -Indian Ensemble ( Boston- USA) playing A R Rehmans song from a movie: czcams.com/video/pZy8115sNXM/video.html
It is not Tabla but is called Pakhawaj, a double sided drum used in classical music, it has a characteristic deep sound and as a result , is used by many light musicians ( not classical) in their compositions to render special effects.
I love the fact that you guys are really obssessed with Indian music based on your deep analysis ♥️

This stage has people singing from different states. It's their folk songs. They are singers who sing as local singers in their state.

I am Indian hehe
The 3rd one was "Dholki"...and it is used in a dance form called "lavani".. .. That dance form is from the state of Maharashtra.
These are mainly folk songs. The film industry music of different regions are highly influenced by folk music from all over the country. Now that I think of think, it is crazy and something that most of us Indians take from granted!
You should react to "aayat" by arijit singh. It a semi classical song with great lyrics

the 2 sided tabla-like instrument is called a mridangam. loved your video
You skipped the last part of the Performance. It was really good.
Nails on fleek yo...
Enjoy this guys .
React to "Urvashi" live performance by indian oscar winner music composer A R REHMAN... it will blow your mind.. trust me..
That is not a tabla, it's called a 'dholak'. It is a very ancient instrument.
Also, the trumpet like instrument is called 'shehnai'. That's also the name of the song they are singing. It is commonly synonymous with marriage because it is played in marriages.
The one you saw similar to tabla is called a dholki and it's a very important part of marathi folk.... especially lavani....it's like at the heart of our music:)
Thats our best relaxing routine during weekend.Love it❤ from Mauritius.Hatsoff Amit Ji❤❤❤
