There's a saying in India - kos kos par badle paani, chaar kos par baani. It literally means - every 3 kms the taste of water changes and every 12 kms the dialect/language changes 😊💜💜 That's how diverse India is, and still, we are all Indians first 💜💜💜💜💜

They were all one of the best singers from different regions of India. They are very different from Bollywood singers because they sing "regional classical music" and take huge huge pride in it (as they should) and also, as you can clearly see here, each and every form of regional music has their own traditional instruments and different style of singing as well as different languages. This performance was beautiful in every manner!

Amit Trivedi sir is one of the best composer in India but he is so underrated. Because not every one has good music taste .

These people represent different state different kind of music from all over india 🇮🇳 we have different kind of food music culture every few 100 kms even if you want to try and see or eat all of them it will take whole life to explore whole India 🇮🇳

omg so glad you found this!!! this is such an accurate representation of a sliver of Indian music. the reason I say sliver is cuz these are all songs that Amit Trivedi had composed himself that are from these different states. some other composers you absolutely must check out are Sachin Jigar (start with their rendition of Laadki from coke studio), ajay atul (you can pick up anything from the soundtracks of either sairat/dhadat or agneepath) and even arijit singh 's compositions although those are primarily in bengali.
you absolutely must listen to more coke studio stuff from both india and pakistan tho! pasoori, chhaap tilak, rang and so much more!

Zindagi means life.
And you guessed correctly, the sounds were from different states of India in the language of that state and the artists are famous artists of that state and they are singing in their regional or state's official language.
That last song was “love you zindagi” meaning “love you my life” I just love this song soo much!!! You will love it too!!!

The concert opens with a famous couplet written in Farsi by Uzbek Amir Khusrow, when he first visited Kashmir in autumn for the first time (sometime around the 13th Century CE).

Amir Khusrow is a Sufi poet, and a disciple of Nizamuddin Auliya of the Moinuddin Chisti order of sufis. He was both highly educated, a polyglot and military man, who wrote some deep poetry.

Actually, Amit is Directing and is using different artists from all over the country (who are just local artists and sing in their local language) and created this performance "SOUND OF NATION"... (Amit Trivedi is music director as well as Singer, he composed all these songs.). In the end of the performance, he said that every music composer has a dream and his dream was to use these beautiful voices and songs and unite them, and he got his chance on this platform. He's my favorite, he's just awesome.
Amit trivedi is mainly a composer and all of these songs are his compositions... All of these songs represents different styles of Indian music from every state....
