There are lot of similarities between techniques PNF/PIR etc. I teach a technique called Motion Specific Release www.motionspecificrelease.com/ . In the course we show people how to integrate multiple perspective into there clinic practice. As the quote goes "If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants. - Issac Newton". We are all continually improving every technique and procedure. Cheers

Is pnf stretching safe for piriformis syndrome sufferers?

Hi Olivia: I can't make recommendation on specific cases without doing an examination. Making exercise prescription for sciatic really depends the case. Some of the common exercises that cause problems for sciatic patients are: heavy deadlifts, straight leg sit ups, bent over rows and over stretching the hamstrings.

Would be nice to shorten info and talk through the stretch so that so much time isn't wasted listening to technical jargon. It was a great video overal but maybe leave the technical stuff toward the end while you are demonstrating a few extra reps
