    How much horse power does an SC Projects exhaust add to a Kawasaki Ninja?? We think you'll be just as impressed as we were! We put this 2021 Kawi ZX10r on the dynojet dyno and did some pulls. Base line, after exhaust and after full tune! Not only did the SC projects exhaust gain instant power, but also dropped a lot of weight. Bringing the total curb weight of the ZX10r down a lot! But something you should be asking is, Do I need to tune my bike after a slip on exhaust? After swapping the exhaust on the ZX10r, the bike was running super lean which could damage your motorcycle if not followed up with a tune. Anyways, check out these amazing gains after the exhaust and tune!

    Just found this video. I like how you conduct business and take time to explain what you are seeing, doing, and expecting as you conduct the tune. Question 1: Where are you located? Question 2: Can you tune in conjunction with my bike using Woolich Racing Software? Or would you have to do a dyno, look at your graph and tell me what to change in my fuel tables (AFR). Question 3: How much are your tunes? Is it charged by the hour or by the tune? Thanks in advance!!

      Hey Johnny,
      Thank you for the compliment 🙌 it is greatly appreciated 🙏
      To answer your questions appropriately.
      1). We are located in Saint Petersburg, FL
      2). I mainly utilize woolich racing for majority of my ecu flashing
      3). My tuning prices vary depending on what application we are tuning. For example, forced induction vs nitrous vs n/a, the type of bike we are tuning, pump gas vs race fuels, 1 map or multiple maps, etc 👍👍

    What i don't understand is your definition of lean afr. 14.7 is stoichiometric, which means that all the air was used to burn all the fuel and there are no leftovers of fuel or oxygen. Anything below 14.7 is rich and there's leftover fuel and anything above 14.7 is lean, meaning there's leftover oxygen. So, when you say a 14.0 afr is lean, when it's actually rich, what do you mean?

  • @BigTexZX10R

    Was this with the stock air filter and velocity stacks?

  • @AST4EVER
    @AST4EVER Před rokem +2

    Just a Straight forward question here....
    What kind of flash or tuning be done on a zx10r with Cat Delete but with a stock Exhaust, because in many countries (including mine) these modified exhaust can get my bike impounded/seized by police if found on road. So what could be the best way to get Max power out of it but with a stock exhaust....

    • @provenpowercycles
      @provenpowercycles  Před rokem +2

      If you can delete the cat, then it still can run a flash! The cat is the major restriction point on the bike.

    The bike picked up HP on the SC baseline even though the AFR went super lean. Let's forget about the "damage" potential first but this means when the AFR went lean, the bike picked up more power. Am I correct in my observation?
    You did not show the final AFR curve though. Did you set the AFR to a certain "commanded AFR" value? Was it richer for the final tune or was it leaner or was it stoich?

    • @provenpowercycles
      @provenpowercycles  Před rokem +6

      So even though the bike leans out with the new pipe it still will gain power because air flow has been dramatically improved.
      With that being said it has the tendencies (not EVERY bike but most) to drive horrible (hesitations, sputtering, slow/laggy throttle response) after removing the catalytic converter.
      I apologize not showing AFR at the end. I usually do but I shoot for 13.0 - 13.2 for my final afr numbers. 🤙

      @ManCannotRide Před rokem +1

      @@provenpowercycles Thanks PPC. I was about to ask about the AFR you are shooting for. Among the Japanese liter bikes, in your experience, which one is the least restricted from factory? R1, ZX10R, GSXR or Fireblade?

    • @provenpowercycles
      @provenpowercycles  Před rokem +1

      @Man Cannot Ride from what I have been seeing on MY dyno, all of the new Japanese liter bikes are limited to about 160 to 165 whp after installing a slip on and air filter. After tuning is where it gets pretty different

    When you say 1 map, that’s a custom map from you? Would I loose the pre programmed road/rain from the factory? Do you do mail in?

    • @provenpowercycles
      @provenpowercycles  Před 7 měsíci

      Yes 1 map is 1 custom map (usually done in F mode). The other map modes are unaffected! We can do a mail in flash for you as well! 💪

  • @alejandrotobienne8220

    My question is though is your in 4th or 5th gear wide open. Which makes sense to go lean. Would that lean spot be the same if the bike was in 2nd or 3rd then 4th??

    • @provenpowercycles
      @provenpowercycles  Před rokem

      The reason why we choose 4th gear or 5th is because it's usually the closest 1:1 gear ratio. Although there are fuel trim mapping per gear that you can alter, most of the time the data interprelates across the other gears very similarly. 👍👍

    The restrictions are there to protect the engine. When you remove it you risque to destroy the engine when pushed to continue to rev higher under high load. Youre reducing the longivity of the moto. 😅

    Did you know these bikes use ram air? It means you are not running it in highway conditions. Reason on dyno why its running rich on high rpm is because ram air works only when its in street. 😂😅. So many dyno idiots mess up these bikes because theyre not engineers lol
