- Remember Zach @pianoserd? He's 9 and we played an improvised Bohemian Rhapsody the first time we met? Well, I was just finishing at St Pancras, and he came up. I could not miss a chance to play something with him again, and we quickly set some of the kit up. When my dad asked what we would, I said "something will happen". Zach then hit out Rush E... Haha, he's not playing around!
So, unrehearsed, unplanned, un-discussed, unexpected, and unbelievable - possibly the greatest improvised Rush E duet - from the minds of @SheetMusicBoss to a random piano meet up in London St Pancras Train Station. Brilliant.
And yes, I know there will be some that say it's all fake, all set up and we have practiced for ages. But those that were there would know the truth! Zach had not even taken off his coat! Oh yes, go follow @pianoserd!

Sadly we didn’t get the to play much together but hopefully next time we can. Oh and maybe I’ll practice La Campanella (Jk. I’m not at that stage YET but I DO know the first part of it) Thanks for the shoutout again. I do really appreciate it. And fun fact Cole, you might not know this but I’ve known your channel for nearly 2 years. That Bohemian Rhapsody cover (with over 114 MILLION VIEWS 😮) was one of the videos that got me to learn the song. And ANOTHER fact that you might not know is I’ve been in a couple of other videos. Thanks Cole and Zach, and also thanks to Chi, who set up the cameras again. You recall that we were expecting Zach to turn up earlier, not having met since dueting at Battersea, he wanted to duet with you again. I can vouch for the fact that there were no rehearsals as I was there and we were just about to go when Zach arrived. This was so spontaneous, there was literally those few seconds on the start of the video. The crowds that had started to subside as you were packing up, started to amass again, so I started handing out more flyers. What viewers do not see is that after this, when left to play on his own, Zach played a really professional cover of "Unchained Melody". An original Righteous Brothers classic. Others may remember versions by Jimmy Young and Robson and Jerome
Yeah. I’m happy that someone noticed that. I think I remember seeing you. Also, if you would like to know, I was doing the Elvis Presley cover of Unchained Melody 🙂. That’s just the cover that has more piano in it so I thought I’d learn that one instead and also because I like Elvis’ music

@@pianoserd I am not sure if Zach wrote this. Perhaps a parent or older sibling but that is not important. What is important Zach, is that you should know that you are a supremely talented young man. Cole is 7 years older than you but you were keeping pace with him seemingly without any effort. There is no doubt in my mind that you have a great future ahead of you in music. Whaaa...? :o Amazing. Seeing Zach and his skills reminds me how we were watching your early recordings of playing piano firstly at home and then publicly. Every child having such skills, talent and willing to master it to perfection, deserves attention and support. Split tip with Zach in ratio 50-50. This is one of the way we will see you both again playing together. :)

Zach is indeed a very talented young musician, and at his age can benefit so much from proper mentoring. Of course you would naturally be able to recognize young talent and with your success, school work and other goings on I'm sure you're are under time constraints. I'm am so impressed that you still make the time to help and promote young talent like Zach, notice I said impressed, not surprised, because that's just you, a kind, caring, honest young man, and then add in all that talent, and all that puts you, at least to me, in the category of G.O.A.T. Zack reminds me of my friend's kid. He has been playing the piano, drums, guitar and a bunch of other instruments since he was like 3. In his teens now and applying to Juilliard.

I did smile at him not even taking time to take his coat off, it's a mark of his growing confidence that he just gets on and plays. So, well done Zach, I did subscribe straight after you played Bo Rhap with Cole and I see the sub numbers are starting to climb. I read that you went on to play Unchained Melody next, I would love to see and hear that if it was recorded. Maybe if you like Elvis it could become your style to get the public behind you, your equivalent of Cole and all his Queen covers. I love both you and Zach. I am a very satisfied subscriber to both. The duet was fun and great! Skills off the chart. Nobody else could have done that unrehearsed with 15 and 9/10 year old kids. And yes you both are still just kids. 😉

The piano playing is incredible, but man, can we just appreciate the moment Zach realizes that he's got an opportunity at 0:15? He knows there's no plan, so he hatches his own plan. Seconds later, before anyone else can object, he plays the first notes of Rush E, and smirks. That's one of the best, most devious smiles I've ever seen. Cole has just enough time to say "Something will happen", right as he realizes what Zach just started playing. Cole laughs nervously, knowing the insanity they're both about to attempt as Zach breaks out in a giant wordless grin, knowing Cole's going to attempt insanity with him. You can't script that kind of subtle but genuine interaction.
