Does anyone else get oddly happy listening to British people speak like I love it
What about our voice?
It's the incredibly posh accent mixed with the enormous heaps of cuss words, isn't it.
Sven Hista lol u just described my accent in a fuckin heartbeat
Gloria Roosevelt I'm British, and I loooveee American accents..its soo cool and different, I could listen to them forever
+Gabriella S Which British people? Britain has Scotland, Wales England and N. Ireland in it. And each of those has their own local accents.
moral of the story: country stereotypes are everywhere, but buzzfeed just thinks England is cool so they made a video especially for the Brits. 🇬🇧
They did a similar thing for Greeks ._.
I think we've just learnt how close buzzfeed are to running out of ideas...
Or because some people are from the UK in buzzfeed and tell them ideas like ones that can relate to Britain.
diy lover Buzzfeed should do a video on waless.
+diy lover But they were dumb enough to call Britain England...
that bar man with his wand yelling "expelliarmus, steve!" is me

‘But you just said you were from England’
TRIGGERED
England is my city
Even though im not british but im triggered too like..not everyone is from london just like how not everyone is from New York
@@theopinionatedcharles2795 I am too.
Wait, England isn't in London??
once someone genuinely thought that England is in London.... what.
btw; organise, realise, recognise, colour, flavour, behaviour, harbour, honour, humour, labour, neighbour, rumour, splendour, Maximise, centre, fibre, litre, theatre. you're welcome.
And is no one going to talk about how attractive the barman is...? Just me? Ok
he DEFINITELY IS
Lillie Bench not to be mean, he looks handsome, but i think he should get rid of the beard, it looks like trimmed pubes on his face
I definitely agree.
jermaine vink I like beards so it just makes him more attractive (in my opinion)
definitely noticed that his beard is exceptionally hot
I've never seen anyone as enthusiastic as that waiter
*EXPELLIARMUS! EXPELLIARMUS! EXPELLIARMUS, STEVE!*
@lokiswcnd that was a bartender 😂
My sister once drove on the wrong side of the road .......
We were still in England aswell
Haha my auntie came back to Scotland from Cali for a month or so and she was dropping my cousin off to school and she drove around the wrong side of the roundabout haha
Lucy Williams This has to be the most british thing I've read all day. 🤣
😂😂
I worked at a restaurant for a bit and I had this one customer come in who was visiting from Austrailia and when he first spoke I asked where in Aus. he was from. His jaw literally dropped and he said ”You are the first person to think I'm from Australia rather than Britan.”
Yeah because cockney is quite similar to the Australian accent
Lol poor Canadian
***** yep my life of telling Americans what we do and don't have/say in Canada
i know!! my poor Canadian brothers and sisters stuck dealing with "eh" "aboot" "igloos" "polar bear pets" " always winter" statements from people.... it's sooooo annoying!!! and don't even get me started on HOCKEY!!!!
Sure they do, because they automatically assume we ARE americans!! 😢😢
I'm Canadian and I have never said "eh" and no, we don't use maple syrup on anything but pancakes waffles and French toast :3
+KaiTheIaniteFollower What are you talking aboot?
the bartender was hot-ish...?! :/ idk i should go to bed, sorry
He was!
I'm a straight dude, but even I thought he was pretty hot
Gay^
I ain't gay tho
I ain't gay tho
If you say "rise up lights" it sounds like your saying razor blades in an Australian accent.
And if you say "beer can" with a British accent, it sounds like "bacon" in a Jamaican accent.
If that’s how you think people with Australian accents say razor blades, you’ve obviously never met anyone Australian.
Ruby Whitfield rOoZuR bLoUdEz
I totally tried this 😂
Clearly you have never met any one Jamaican either 🙄😑😒
Not entirely true

They literally are that stupid or ignorant. At least we don't speak like our nasal passage is constantly blocked.
No they don't. English is a Germanic language. ;)
+Jethro Pablo
Yes it is a Germanic language. We should all know that, but that is an ancient Saxon language that has changed to modern English, which originated in 'England' which what I think he meant .
+goodall1bay what?
+goodall1bay sorry I'm so late but what?

Catharina Buttons idk where people get the whole thing that “Americans think that Australians ride kangaroos” and all, because I’ve never heard of that. But just know that as an American I’ve never thought anything like that.

( ͡o ͜ʖ ͡o) but on the bright side you don't have to worry about sunburn
+MsRainbow Brite I'll take my chances
MsRainbow Brite Oh we do! We get a few days of sun in the middle of summer and it gets unbearably hot - well for us anyway. We aren't used to it lol.
Anyway, it is worse for me - I live in the rainiest part of rainy ol' England: Lancashire! We are on the *wrong* side of the Pennines.
Wish we could swap with Yorkshire...
Luke of Lancs my origins are Dutch, English and Scottish so in summer I am screwed. I stay out of the sun... sun bad

I'm a Canadian and I can confirm that EVERYONE here has a pet moose and beaver. Don't ask questions, it's a fact. 👍🏻😜
Zeyu C lol
+Ave Elliott i can confirm that my mum (canadian) had canadian geese and mess and beavers everywhere
Kitten witch, you are correct, however, the species of geese you are referring to are called "Canada geese" not Canadian gees, seeing as they aren't actual Canadian citizens. Feel free to look it up. And yes we do all have beavers and moose and geese, and our country is one big iceberg. 100% true

Americans think there are 2 accents in England, cockney and posh. There are actually around 26. And no, England isn’t made up of London only.
Yep and if you go from New York to New Orleans its basically like going from Scotland to Italy the phrases, terrain, accents, culture, how nice/rude the people are, and weather are all different. Oh and especially what the people like to eat.
Yes I can confirmed there are a lot of British accents
I’m a scouser
@@atomicpunch8812 but they all speak english meanwhile italy and scotland dont. bad example
all I can think of after 98% of my life in the UK:
-middle-class posh (south and parts of south west)
-cockney (mainly essex, but parts of east anglia and the outskirts of london)
-scouce (liverpool)
-brummie (birmingham and bloody well strong up in wolverhampton)
-geordie aye aye pet now yous can just guess this one eh
I forgot the rest
You forgot, 'people assume that if you're British you're from England.' People forget that Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland exist too.
+Sophie McGowan I thought people from England, Scotland, and Wales were Brits? Never knew people from Northern Ireland were considered Brits too. I do know all four make up the UK though. Anyways, cheerio!
+InebriHATED1 a lot of Northern Irish people don't like too be called British though and prefer just to be called Irish.
+Sophie McGowan I'm from Northern Ireland and I just call myself Northern Irish.. I hate this whole "You're either British or Irish" thing.
+Sophie McGowan Um.. I have a question that I've been wanting to ask for awhile now. Is there a difference between the United Kingdom and Britain? Tell me, please.
+WilliamNI132 - I say Ulsterman as its one-word.
"Do you have a pet moose?" XD
Yes. Yes I do.
Lareenuh Lin my favorite part !
much worse if a scottish person went to America.
what language is that? it's English sir, English.
+Wyles Malibiran I'm English and I have trouble understanding Scottish accents. If you are a guy though- American girls will still like you for your accent. American girls love ANY UK accents.
***** yes indeed, and I don't know why.
Wyles Malibiran
Because the American accent is very neutral and easy to understand--but it sounds boring.
***** how about the canadian accent?
0:42 "You're a wizard Harry!"😂

Maria Garcia yer on CZcams Harry
A what? I’m not I’m Harry just harry
Athaya Syarifa now get this through you're scarred little head, YOU'RE A FOOKIN' WIZARD!!!
Darth Penny The Wise WWWEEEEOOOTTTTT
Why do buzzfeed assume that 'Brits' means English people? Get some Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish people on!
TheFlyingHead101 Good point. The people in this only said 'England', so many Americans might not know the difference between all the residents of the UK.
I don't think that many North Americans know that the UK is more than one country.
Alfonso Espina Maybe if you're a child, but they do teach world history in high school.
Ikr! It's not their fault their geography teachers can't teach... Or even exist at all.
+Alfonso Espina you're wrong
I'm from London and living in the states. This is so true. What annoys me the most is when people get England, Great Britain and the U.K. mixed up and confuse the flags of the four countries.
Only 3 countries N.I. ain't a country
Skipper Del Cairde Yeah it is.
True
+Alicia Coburg
Oh no it isn't. N. Ireland has no history of ever being an independent country. Unlike England, Scotland and Wales.
N.Ireland was not created until 1921 when Ireland was partitioned. Making N.Ireland and The Republic of Ireland.
*****
Oh I might have heard a whisper!
But that doesn't change the fact that N. Ireland has no history of ever being a country.
wootah
Or Walter hahaha
+Afsheen Dhukai or White
Afsheen Dhukai yes?

Of being English in America*** Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales are British, too.
Ye canny leave poor wee Cornwall oot. Especially not since it's now recognized as it's own thing. ;D Love it. (I'm not Cornish)
You're right, you're right, lmao.
Northern Ireland isn't in Britain.
+Grace Clayton yes it is, the Republic of Ireland is what your thinking about, northern Ireland is the British part
+Beth anthony No. The UK is Britain + Northern Ireland, I'm so sorry for paying attention to my geography teacher. Look it up. Northern Ireland Isnt part of Britain.
This is pretty much a struggle for any foreigner
British people do the same thing too lol. When I was on vacation in Bristol and London, people made fun of my accent and constantly asked me if I wanted to eat a large burger and /fries/ meal :P
Don't lie you answered with a Yes.
nudnud9 Lol yeah I probably would have if I wasn't vegetarian
Alaska Simmons Haha yes our burgers are amazing
+Torri X you should be grateful they didn't say hotdog an a gun !!

You only get that accent in like a 30km area, there are at least ten distinguishable accents in England.
+xoxo.sharon That's such a stereotypical thing to say!! What do you mean by British accent? You do realise how many accents their are in Britain don't you? And no one talks in that stereotypical accent anyway! Gees

...how do people even get confused with the british accent IT SOUNDS NOTHING LIKE A AUSTRALIAN ACCENT I would know i'm Australian
*****
damn
+Insomnia Zombie so would I and i'm British. one of my friends thought i was Australian for the first 5 months of knowing me, until i told her i was from England. and then she was like "oh my god, i thought you were from Australia!".
+Insomnia Zombie Australians sound more like Americans accents,I,ve mistaken Australians as Americans when I,v travelled.
I think one thing Americans don't seem able to comprehend is the fact that there are around 56 different types of accents used in Britain, and from Lands End to John O' Groats you're never going to come across two regions of the UK who speak with the same accent. For example Newcastle and Durham have similar accents, but there are very noticeable differences, the same with York and Leeds, Somerset and Bristol, etc. The main stereotype I find is that Americans seem to think that all British people speak with an "RP" accent, when there is a massive difference between north and south, England and Scotland, even London and Essex!
I know it get so annoying because they think im from some weird country when no i just have an accent
I just think of England, America and Canada from Hetalia. Sorry. Had to say it

holly wright would u like a cup of tea with some crumpets? that too maybeish?
holly wright don't worry, I don't like british accents. I prefer Asian ones. if we were friends, I would never obsess over your accent :)
ana999989 which Asian accent lol? They sound pretty bad in my opinion and it kinda sounds funny
NightCrow s. Korean is cool one for me
ana999989
i never heard it before
I honestly don't understand why Americans obsess with us. Like calm down.
Animusic公式 dont' worry. I'm American and I don't obsess with brits. I don't like the accent or the culture. so don't worry :)
Lmao yo nobodies obsessed with you chill
Animusic公式 na there more obsessed with us Australians
TotalClone Americans are only obsessed with Americans.
Alyssa Bonet na there pretty obsessed with us
One of the problems I find communicating with Americans is the fact that Americans still use the Imperial system. When I ask how how it is there, I get a very high numerical value in Fahrenheit and I can't for the life of me figure it out...
Not to mention that I get laughed at when I pronounce the "H" in "Haitch".
And don't get me started on Aluminum and Aluminium...
James V look words and sounds in English are stupid like doubt.
James V So, we're suppose to abandon the Imperial System to be like the rest of the world even though almost everyone born and raise here was taught using the same system?
That's because there is no h in "aitch".
I agree with the rest.
justmehere34 I never said you should abandon it... I just said that's why I had a problem communicating with Americans personally.
But...I still think that it's quite a dated system in all honesty. It's just confusing that boiling point is 212 degrees, freezing is 32 degrees; that there are 3 feet in a yard, 16 oz in a lb, etc.
+justmehere34 yep
"Is all of England like Harry Potter?"
I wish!
He said expeAliarmUs..... Banging my head on the wall continuously...
same
Why does everyone assume that we like tea?
I like tea but not everyone likes tea😂
But like 98% of us likes tea xD
It's because it's a very typical part of U.K. Culture. It's like seeing if a typical American likes to drink coffee, or a typical Mexican consumes tortillas with their meals. ETC.
It's only because we have the best tea
+millardsglory I crave tea! 😂
I love tea how do you take yours I take sweat and warmed
The Bartender is amazing..His comments are amazing."Hey do we have Walter?"
Expeliarmus Steve!😂😂😂
Oh my god that water thing made me laugh so much
Was anyone else laughing really hard when he was like EXSPELLYARMIS STEVE
*Expelliarmus
+Unicorn Batman You invented a new spell. ex-spell-why-arm-is. This is what you say when you want to make your *ex* learn how to *spell* *arm* and *why* it *is* spelt like that.
Batman Slaughtermelon that's not how you spell expeliarmas
Lilly Goodnight nor is that.
I love the ending cause those stereotypes about Canada are rough XD
“Do you live in an igloo?”
“I live in a house.”

Omg that bartender
It also sucks when everyone calls you a Brit even though you're Irish.

Another one is how people think Britain is just England.
A lot of people also forget about north England
Hashim Iqbal faaaacts and people also confuse the uk & Britain. the uk is England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and Britain is Scotland Wales and England.
George VI I do
Yea ikr an people make fun of the country I live in, known as WALES
Hashim Iqbal exactly!! Thank you for actually noticing!!
I know it's bad but the part that upset me the most was the bartender not saying Expelliarmus right...

Oh you're Scottish! Do you eat haggis? Do you always wear kilts? Are you always bare chested? Are you Warriors? Is everything Lord of the rings? Do you carry a claymore sword with you?
If the video was this, then it would've explained my holiday to New York.
I'm Scottish and I know all about it.
more like
are you skottish?
yeah
let me hear you talking
i know im creppy bit the accent though...do unique

Aye, well said.
+Jonny Williams I would love if I were asked those questions ahhahaha
I don't know, as an American, the British & Australian accents are pretty distinct from one another.
