Series Learning Objectives:
• Describe the principles of an Age-Friendly approach to resident care, including the importance of resident-centered care, communication, the 4Ms of Age-Friendly care, and continuity of care.
• Develop communication skills tailored to the unique needs and preferences of older adults, including those with physical, sensory, and cognitive impairments.
• Identify at least three strategies that can be implemented to improve workforce retention by implementing Age-Friendly care in nursing facilities.
• Identify at least three self-care strategies that daily caregivers incorporate into their daily routines to manage stress, improve well-being, and prevent burnout.
