- Bombshell Christian Horner news took the Bahrain paddock by storm tonight when an email was sent out to hundreds of journalists and high ranking F1 staff. What did this email contain? Well, it contained allegedly leaked Christian Horner text messages and leaked Christian Horner images. Now there is no way of telling at the moment whether these Christian Horner leaks are real but here is what I know thus far! Make sure to watch the entire video to find out everything that went down today in the paddock today during Bahrain practice!

If the evidence exists, why would it matter who sent it? If your dog escapes and it gets run over, does it matter less if the neighbor you don't like informs you? Next time Chris should just ask for photos from someone who actually wants to send them like the rest of us do (actually, some of us don't even need to ask).
Seems like the other teams in the paddock or at least two have picked up on the Democrats way of dealing with their opposition. Rather than working hard on producing a better platform you simply dirty an innocent persons reputation. If it can happen to Christian it can happen to you Toto and you too Zak.
Kym, I deeply appreciate you saying straight off "we don't even know if it's real". We know how F1 can work against people in the harshest of means. I expected a leak at some point, but this is sad all the way around.

If the prints are true, they show two adults flirting. It's unethical for both the employee and the CEO to get involved. At no point in the conversation did I see her saying she was uncomfortable, in fact she was very comfortable talking to a married man.

@@lukasandresen3383 -- It shows him pressuring her and asking her to delete their chats. Multiple times she asks him to stop. She plays along a little bit, but it soon gets sinister and she asks him to stop as it's making her work life difficult.

My thoughts exactly. The drama in this sport is like an all girls school. I care about the racing, that is all.
Agreed, it's a witch hunt with the intention to loosen the RB domination on F1 by attempting to disrupt the team harmony ahead of the new season. Some of the other team principals (Woolf, Brown etc) are cleary upset that the opportunity of Horner being removed hasn't happened and are now trying to keep the pressure on with their virtue signalling transparency BS. The question needs to be asked of who is really behind the leaks, the motive for doing it and who it getting paid for doing it.

Agreed with everything you said Kym! Was happy to see your appearances in Drive to Survive also. My problem with Danica was her comments she made about Danny Ric saying that his time in Formula 1 was over.

Yes and No, innocent until proved guilty is correct, but how is it fair if the police and juror and judge is all the same? won't that be like a trial in China or Russia? the only way this is fair is release all available data! let the chips fall where it might, the whole world can see the evident, if RB say that's innocent, fine!!! if most of people who read it say that's not right and we won't support this! that's fair too!! to keep it close and say trust me is just not right unless you live in a dictatorship!

@@KymIllman If it were the same messages coming from Christian or a team, would you question the veracity as much as the other party? When a person is a victim, you are already facing much greater odds, but when you are facing a billion dollar industry, it might be worth thinking about it as if that victim were someone you knew.
F1 Media took the media release that it was resolved and no charges were served as a blanket there was no fault and did not press them. They just accepted it so the focus was back on the track, and the star back in his garage.
This is just my two cents but I think some dislike Danica in part due to her past comments whether it be from her saying F1 is a masculine sport or how she commented against Nascar drive Martin Truexs response to his girlfriends death to name a couple of examples. Then there's the issue of her not having F1 experience and her open wheel experience resulting in only one win etc. There might be other factors I'm not sure
Many are turned off by her far right political views and support of conservative ideology.

Danica wasn't liked in NASCAR or INDY when she raced here in the states. She always blamed everyone else when she had a bad outcome like a past F-1 driver Romain Grosjean. Plus she has a very vanilla personality. Give me more Claire Williams, she's a doll.
That was mainly in NASCAR, I think. In INDY she wasn't doing that badly and she should have stayed there.

@@Rob2 2005-2011 and one race in 2018. It's not 8 full seasons, but it's across 8 years and 116 entries. One win and 7 podiums. That averages to one podium per season. One season in the top five (P5). It's a pretty mid career, especially considering it's a spec series.

Those videos have really evolve since you started your own F1 journey! I wish Netflix would do a small segment on influencer in the paddock and have you part of that group! Just why Danica? They wanted a female racing expert and she's the only one? They added Claire Williams which is a great choice! She's literally grown up in F1 and was a team owner. If they wanted another female Susie Wolff would have been a better choice than Danica. Susie knows F1 and can also speak to efforts to get more women into the sport.
I don't think Susie would want yet another hat...
This is why. She seems like just the auto go to to bring in an American racing audience. A puppet that is not well liked generally speaking.
I will take every moment of Claire Williams, someone who spent her life involved with this sport and all of her talk and opinion over Danica - someone who has not been directly involved in f1 except for media purposes, any day.
Susie is way too busy to do that part.
Susie is too busy trading FIA insider secrets to her husband.
This is just my opinion, but when Claire Williams was TP and the TV cameras were on her in the garage during quali or the races, she had this bad habit of looking absolutely clueless.
Kym professionally dealt with regard to Horner, Danica and other matters. The press and many individuals could learn a lot from you my friend, you are a class act. 👌🏽

One way to disrupt RedBulls (or any teams) season is to create unwanted distractions at the top level.

I think that thats what they are trying to do. They trying to cause as much caos around Horner so that the company decide to part ways with because of all the bad press that is giving them. Even tho those images are proof of nothing but a conversation.

there's something to do this. redbull tried to sweep it under the covers but the emails look damaging. There is a crime here...at least to his family. Images too. It's actually awful..unless it is fake..it is not
This will be gone and no one will be talking about it come summer time. The news cycle moved so quickly nowadays, the more someone addresses something against them publicly, the longer the story has legs. If you don’t say anything and ignore it, the flames will be smothered by the silence and people will move on.
Especially if Redbull continues to dominate. The public won’t care and whoever has the axe to grind with christen will just have to take the L
Its worth noting it was the Thai owners that arranged and hired the independent barrister to investigate Horner - not the Austrian HQ.
The same owner that has had family members kill a person in a hit and run and never do any jail time and charges let to run out?

Here in the U.S. Danica Patrick gets a lot of hate because of her stint in NASCAR people felt she was getting and staying in her seat just because she is a woman because she failed to have the same success she had in Indy racing

I like Danica, and I dont know why people would want Horner out for doing a good job. I am a Mclaren fan and would like to see Red Bull not win all the races but Horner is a good team principal. Snowflakes of the world will always try and find something to complain about. Thanks for the videos
I think Danika Patrick's association with NASCAR is the reason. Everyone that follows F1 seems to look down upon the USA's premier non-open wheel racing series. She went from Indycar to NASCAR. She definitely has the bona fides to do the job she's doing. She clearly understands how motor sports work, especially from a driver's perspective.

Regarding Danica, She got her drives because of her gender, not because of her skill, I don’t blame ppl for not respecting her as a driver, as a commentator however I don’t have a real problem with her, there’s enough commentators out there that have no clue what it’s like to race anything, so a former racer of any level is better than most of the others.
People don’t like Danica because she is always promoted way above her talent just because she is a female…..if she was a male she would have never made it to nascar….then they treat her like she is a champ just because she is female…..now she isn’t a talented pundit and only pushed more and more on us because she is a female who drove for nascar…,it’s even more irritating when she compares herself to F1 drivers acting like she knows what it’s like to be one of them and as talented as them

Danica just doesn't come across as insightful for me, which is sad because she's a former racecar driver. Claire Williams was a good addition to DTS. I'd have preferred Laura Winter, or Susie Wolff.

Valterri was wearing a Sarpaneva Midnight Sun - Sapraneva is a Finnish watch brand, fitting of Valteri to wear it, this one is limited to 20 pieces and costs 29k Euro with taxes, but the absolute party trick is the lume, it's mind boggling....Stepan Sarpaneva worked with Piaget, Parmigianii and even Vianney Halter, so he is one of the best watchmakers there are. Love the Moser Streamliner Esteban was wearing, the central second chrono is a beauty.
5:32 danica always has to mention how experienced she is, but I don’t recall her ever being in formula 1. She ALWAYS throws a comment in. She talked down to Button in Miami the first year.

Unfortunately Danica has a habit of feeling like she needs to remind us that she was a race driver with comments like “when I was racing” which is unnecessary. Schiff never does that. Also her comments and insights are not quite on par with any of the other ex racers so there is a feeling that she is here because she is an American. The amount of camera time in Netflix shows how America-centric the show is. They need to understand that America is not the centre of the F1 world. It’s the chip in the shoulder true fans have with Liberty and the glitz and glamming they are foisting upon F1. I think Danica has become a symbol in of these changes and that’s why her reception has polarised fans

I've done a lot of investigative research into this and have located the findings from RBs investigation.
The person that received the messages from Horner was a friend of Geris.
Horner heard Geri singing "if you want to be my lover, you gotta get with my friends...."
Horner thought he was acting on Geri's instructions. Horner is innocent. Case dismissed.
There was also a mention that it's questionable as to whether ginger is a spice and that if Horner wanted a spicy private life, ginger was not going to satisfy the desire.

IF the text messages are real, it shows a little flirting between two consenting adults. The person unhappy with Christian was likely someone who was trying to get rid of him, as a way of consolidating their own power.
Not everybody "wants to get to the bottom of this". Frankly, none of this is our business. Christian was exonerated, the grownups in the crowd are ready to move on.
It's still unacceptable to his wife. Just how did they exonerate him .

As you more or less concluded,... I can't draw any fair conclusion to this nor can 99.9% of the world...because we haven't, and won't be given the chance to see 99.9% of the evidence.
Kym, I really appreciate your professional approach to this. As a former photojournalist, I truly appreciate someone who doesn't jump to conclusions. The world needs a lot more journalist like you. It's so easy to get caught up in the hype of a movement, as you probably know...that it takes true professionalism to have real restraint...aka bluring the alleged screen shots of the text....and of course how you cautioned people multiple times that this may not be real text.
We live in a world where anything can be faked to the naked eye....however it takes real critical thinking skills to and good judgement not to jump to conclusions. As a world we are way to addicted to "cancelling people" and many times it's solely for the entertainment value...which ultimately is really sad.. It's like our modern day coliseum....

Before last season, I knew nothing about Danica. Throughout the season watching the Sky broadcast I couldn't help but begin to dislike her. She seems to have been brought in only to have a familiar face/accent for the American audience. Her knowledge of F1 was extremely base level, and I also got the impression that the other Sky presenters were not too keen on her / didn't think much of her "insights". I swear I saw a few eye rolls from Jensen or Natalie.
There has been an investigation and the affected person has submitted evidence in that.
When there now is a pile of messages and pictures that would incriminate Christian, but were not submitted to that investigation, you can be sure they are fake.
The text messages were already known to exist they were retained and used as evidence.
How do you know they weren't submitted? Perhaps they were ignored.
It's not incriminating haha.. all its shows is he's a bad husband that's all.. worse things have happened.
If the messages I saw were genuine they were no business of his employer. Consensual messages between adults

I think the hate behind Danica was because she played the 'Will Buxton' role this season, basically stating the obvious for the people who just watch drive to survive and not f1 during the season.
The hate has been around long before DTS. It may be just the latest thing people hate her for. In case you’re new to this, the hate comes her driving days. She was never a top driver, but she was treated as one by the media and some fans. She got far more attention than any driver with similar results and many drivers with better results because of her gender. It’s also probably a part of why she got this job and that rubs some people the wrong way. FYI, I don’t hate her or make negative comments about her so don’t call me a hater, I’m just giving the background here.
@@seashackf1 Agree with everything you say. I always felt she traded a bit much on her looks to be taken seriously. Doing a press conference in short shorts with formfiting top while cute and sexy is not going to give her cred as a driver. To me it would be somewhat like one of the young F1 guys doing a press conference without a shirt.

Diversity for diversity's sack always makes the product worse; I don't think anything further needs to be said.
I have no idea who selects the F1 commentators, but Danica Patrick's inclusion can be understood only from a marketing point of view and not from a journalistic one. This is not intended as an indictment of Danica, but she has no credentials, journalistic or otherwise, to be providing F1 commentary. Her racing resume includes a handful of pole positions and the 2008 Indy Japan 300 victory. As a NASCAR driver she ranked below mid-field. Nothing to shout about.
If Liberty Media wants her in amongst the F1 press, it can (realistically) only be because she's a woman, and because she's American - an expression of the aggressive marketing and growth aspirations Liberty has for F1.
Part of the reason is that Danica acts like those girls/ladies, who say they're not like the other girls and kind of side with the boys. It doesn't always look good. I remember in an interview she was explaining about Formula Academy and she didn't come off with a lot of sympathy, kind of bullish that they should - to sum it up - work harder to get to things like Formula 1. Mostly her delivery with her point was off.
I mentioned in a comment on one of your Instagram posts that this wasn't over.

Danica is self absorbed and constantly needs to inflate herself by making anything be about her or similar to one of her racing stories which have no relevance. We all know she's a driver, she doesnt need to try remind us every time she's got a mic.

I was happily surprised to see Danica Patrick on the show. I think she was brought to it, to give an American point of view, plus bring even more americans to F1, plus to get even more women excited about F1.

Making an accusation can be extremely powerful. Even if it is FALSE. Truth is "Christian Horner, the guy who was accused of misappropriate behavior toward a female employee."

Thanks Kym! As far as Danica is concerned, I was a huge fan back in her Indy days. I was incredibly disappointed when she jumped to NASCAR. I felt she performed better in Indy and was making big strides there.

Danica never ever reached the level of f1 so to get her professional opinion is irrelevant. She had a terrible record in racing so isn't taken as seriously as other ex f1 drivers. Just pushed in for equality.

F1 pundits should be knowledgeable and passionate about F1. With Danica Patrick, I see very little of either. Just never heard her say anything that struck a chord with me. This is just my honest, rude, and subjective opinion.

Danica Patrick is neither a driver, nor a reporter, nor a commentator. She is a walking marketing campaign, without any knowledge of the matter. She has even said in interviews that she doesn't like cars 😂 There is absolutely no reason to listen to any of the bs that comes out of her mouth.

Just went and looked up the leaked info. I agree with what everyone else is saying, at least one photo looks AI generated and the "explicit" photos are from a Polish meme. I would also be very shocked to find out Horner ever texted with grammar like that. It all seems very fake to me.

As a longtime NASCAR fan and former Danica fan, she has made extremely hurtful comments on Martin Truex Jr's ex passing and his condolences/statement he made about it, and that's where a lot of the current dislike of her came. She made the comment "You’re free from this now Sherry" which is just cold and terrible to say after Sherry (Martin's ex) fought for years with cancer. Then those comments she made about girls/women not making into F1 didn't help her any.
I think she was just really not a good fit for the show.
