I was shocked at how well the OG goblin green pot covered that black base! I'm glad to see the "new" nostalgia line covers nearly as well. Thanks for the helpful review, Josh!
There are lots of craft paints that closely match Goblin Green and are a very cheap alternative for painting up terrain and such. Just take your favorite sample base to the craft store and find a match. I had a diy shop mix up a tinted quart of goblin green to paint my entire wargame table a few years ago. The leftovers were very handy for base coating all my hills to match.
I was starting to think I had a problem with buying old miniatures on Ebay, but then I saw this video and realised I'm not the only one with a lead addiction...
The video I have been waiting for seeing my old pot there being opened feels good! just the perfect hue for me the old hex pot goblin greens! amazed how well the old pots seal and the coverage at the time i wish they still sold them....
Thank you for this. Ime pretty new to the hobby but have really fell in love with all the OG stuff so its awesome to see which paints are closest to the originals that are still available
I found that Warboss Green is a decent current range colour to use instead of Goblin Green, but I would be intrigued to see how it looks on a base next to the OG and Nostalgia95 greens.
Thanks Alexanderh. I wish I had a hex pot of Blood Red but I only have the Warcolours Blood Red which is an excellent alternative to the original. Cheers
I am amazed how bad the coat d’arms paints covers. Bought almost the entire range, but hardly ever uses them, besides through and airbrush, because of it
Appreciate the time and effort here but not priming first is a major miss and misrepresents the true results you’d get. You’d never paint this straight on black plastic.

Perfection was achieved in the mid 90s.

Maybe the most important video on the internet...

man the og is nice, kind of a bummer considering I cant get any, but an honor!
That original pot is much better than I remembered! I've been using warboss green, but never straight over a black base, so it's hard to compare.
Great video. Thanks

Yeah it’s a really nice hue the Skarsnik Green. I’m tempted to pick up a bottle and try it now
hey, i would like to see a similar video regarding the old citadel hexpot blood red. I am still looking for an alternative. Kind regards

Yeah it’s sad but true. Nice hue to the green but the coverage sucks
Dried the 88 looked closer? Or am I dreaming
Best place to get the Nostalgia 94 paints from in the UK?
Not sure mate tbh. I think it’s just best to order direct that this stage. Or email them to ask about their UK stores that carry them
nice vid
cool

Just chipping in to say most of those green look much much better on top of a white undercoat. ⚪+🟢=💚
