Having lived thru the 60s, I can tell you 'citizens" don't want "thinkers" - they need followers & obeyers of traditions & ideals established for them...
Loved Dr. Greer's passion in talking about why diversity and higher education in general are so important.
He made no rational points. Diversity is death for a society -- at least when it comes to racial diversity. Homogeneity of culture leads to progress and peace.
A college degree is not a magical tool to prosperity. Most of the black students take soft classes and receive degrees in nothing useful. And they do far worse than all the other population groups, overall. They often end up with huge debt and low-paying jobs. They would be better off simply showing up for work on time every day after getting a high school diploma and working their way up.
The few blacks that do well with a college degree are usually hired into government make work jobs and corporate jobs specifically created so blacks can be hired under affirmative action. Those will be going away now that race preference is illegal and merit is master. (See how I slipped a vague reference to slavery in there?)
you can tell when a group is over when they start believing their own hype.

Why fight when all one needs to do is study hard and live a peaceful life? Make oneself useful rather than being disruptive.

@@RichardJoJoyce Most minority school districts receive more per pupil than whiter school districts. It has been proven repeatedly over the last fifty years that throwing more money at schools has not changed the test scores or the success of students overall. for one.
Why call them facts then?
