    Brilliant as always Karina😊. When the Love Notions email dropped this morning I didn't think I would be interested in the Allegro pattern. You've changed my mind and have just ordered through your link. Thanks again xx Ps your backdrop is gorgeous.

    It is such a "classy" look to have tops that pick up the color of the slacks or skirts. You have a complete outfit rather than separates that have been worn together. Thank you for the tip on top stitching the center seam.

    Love the pants you made and going to purchase the pattern. Most of the makes I have seen are casual and sporty. It’s good to see a formal look. I seriously started sewing in Sept after discovering your channel. I ended up with a capsule wardrobe (didn’t plan this). Sewing a few pairs of pants will complete the grouping. Hand basting, checking the fit and not rushing has made such a difference. It’s made me sew faster. Go figure. Thank you Karina ! Hope you are feeling better.🇨🇦❤️👋

    They look fabulous Karina - so nice paired with the Rhapsody top. Blue is my favourite colour so love this ensemble, and adore the terracotta colour too. The second animal print fabric you showed is stunning! Have just purchased Allegro and this will be my first foray into woven trousers as I usually sew with stretch fabrics.

    What a great addition to the Allegro’s! I’ve had this pattern awhile but haven’t made it yet because I’m not a fan of elastic waist pants. But this would give me the extra tummy support I want. Can’t wait to see what fabric you use for the new Aria! So excited for this pattern to be released 😊. Love your new pants Karina!

    Thank- you Karina for the fabulous control tummy pocket tutorial. I have a a Indie culottes sewing pattern, with a control tummy pocket. I have tried making several toiles but the pattern never worked for me. The pocket bag is deliberately smaller widthwise, across the front pattern, on me just ends up being pulled at the pocket opening. I'm inspired now to fit the culottes pattern to me and redraft the pocket bag using your method 😍

    • @LiftingPinsandNeedles
      @LiftingPinsandNeedles  Před 2 lety +1

      If it's woven, it should be the same width. The fact that the fabric does not stretch and it stable will support the tummy with the layers. I can totally see the pulling happening on the sides if it's shorter and that's not a great look.

    Excellent tutorial. And I love both pairs of pants. I especially love your little hacks. Looking forward to tops to match the brick ones. The navy outfit is elegant, for sure. My hat’s off to you for trying to catch up. Despite being fully vaccinated and boosted, I caught a very mild case of Covid last November which evolved into “long Covid”. Recovery from that took months. You are looking fantastic. But take care of yourself.

I have the Allegro pants already but haven't tried making them yet. I love your sneak peak with the fabrics for the new blouse coming out soon too from Love Notions! (To which I will use your affiliate link to purchase!) You are AMAZING and I appreciate your handholding with the stitching techniques giving me the confidence to try these beautiful outfits! I'm so glad you are feeling better, looking forward to more videos, but take care of yourself first and foremost. 🙂

    Hi Karina, So glad that you are doing better! Take good care of yourself as you regain your health. 🤗I look forward to each video you post; your content is so good, every time, even if you're just talking and not teaching. It's like visiting with a good friend! 😊 I have always preferred this secret tummy control in bottoms and wondered if you've ever considered using a power mesh as the layer next to the skin? Thank you for doing your up close tutorials. You're an excellent teacher.

    • @LiftingPinsandNeedles
      @LiftingPinsandNeedles  Před 2 lety

      Power mesh on a woven pant is really not going to help. It stretches and the pants don't. If you make the pocket smaller with power mesh, it'll pull on the sides. The fabric being woven and stable is enough to support the tummy. I'd leave power mesh for knits only.

    • @tracedwear
      @tracedwear Před 2 lety

      @@LiftingPinsandNeedles Yes, good point on the stretch factor vs no stretch....I was thinking of the power mesh panel in some store-bought jeans and then realizing there's a bit of lycra in the denim that would stretch along with the power mesh.

    Karina question...you have mentioned a few times "that you put free content" on CZcams. 🤔 My understanding was that your videos are monetized therefore by us watching, liking, and commenting and watching the ads you get paid for your content from CZcams. Other CZcams's I watch say really well? 🤷🏾‍♀️ So why would the content be considered "free"? Just want to understand. I think you offer amazing content and it would be a shame if you aren't getting paid to do so!!!

    • @LiftingPinsandNeedles
      @LiftingPinsandNeedles  Před 2 lety

      Anyone who watches videos on CZcams is not paying to watch them. It’s a free platform. No one has to pay actual $$ to benefit from the sewing content on my channel. There is the premium option but very few people pay for that. If you knew how little ad revenue is, you would cry. Also, CZcams keeps about 55% of the ad revenue…. Plus the taxes I have to pay, it’s a very small revenue. It does not cover even a speck of the materials, equipment and most importantly, my time and skill. This niche does not attract millions of views like other types of channels do. No one is going to become a CZcams millionaire with sewing videos. What I say is very simple. The content is free because you are not paying CZcams or me to be able to watch it. I hope this explains it. It’s way more complex. Patterns companies do not pay us to make videos at all. This is the reason I have my Patreon page and am an affiliate for some brands that I love. Otherwise, it would not be feasible for my family to go out of pocket to maintain the channel in the standard that it has.
