    The electrolysis method, which is the patented process of O2 Grow , can deliver 50% or more dissolved oxygen than a bubbler. A bubbler uses the oxygen from the environment which is pumped through the water with a stone or diffuser. The air bubbles will float to the surface and burst. Some of the oxygen is absorbed into the water, but the level of dissolved oxygen will be limited to the level of oxygen in the air. With the O2 Grow electrolysis process, the hydrogen and oxygen are actually separated from the water molecule. The electrolysis process creates nano bubbles. The nano bubbles of hydrogen rise to the surface and burst, while the oxygen bubbles are easily absorbed back into the water effectively super saturating the water with oxygen. Because the process creates the oxygen molecules from the water molecule itself, there is no real limitation and a much higher level of dissolved oxygen can be achieved. Additionally, the electrolysis technology utilizes a very economical low voltage process and does not impact the temperature or pH of the water being oxygenated.

    Great device but if we're talking about cost effectiveness I'll go with the bubbles.

    the concentration of dissolved oxygen in surface water is affected by temperature and has both a seasonal and a daily cycle. Cold water can hold more dissolved oxygen than warm water. In winter and early spring, when the water temperature is low, the dissolved oxygen concentration is high. In summer and fall, when the water temperature is high, the dissolved-oxygen concentration is often lower.

    The down side of electrolysis when you leave that mesh on for a long periods of time that mesh will build up calcium and it wont be as much effective from when you first used it. You would have to take that mesh out the water and dip it into vinegar to remove all the calcium to use it again and its a hassle.

    1. You need to put both types of bubblers in one tank, if you want me to believe that the water in the tanks is the same. It looks to me like saltwater bubbles on the left and freshwater bubbles on the right.
    2. You're talking about this like it's only distilled water and an ideal electrolyte, like lye. Hydroponic plants are grown in water with many chemicals, so you could also be separating other molecules with electrolysis - like sodium from chlorine.

    • @pear-head
      @pear-head Před 2 lety +1

      If you're worried about your sodium and chlorine molecules getting separated, I have really bad news for you. Water seperates them, lol it's literally the reason salt dissolves in water.
      The only time they're not separated in water is if you have so much salt that it fully saturates it, at which point the solution is over 1/4 salt.

    • @scoria1755
      @scoria1755 Před 2 lety

      @@pear-head This is different. The chorine is leaving the water as bubbles at the positive electrode. The sodium molecules have now changed from sodium chloride to sodium hydroxide.

    I made a test version in literally 10 minutes. Two pieces of fine wire mesh separated by a couple of 5mm plastic strips and stapled in place. A wire attached to each mesh and connected to a 12v battery. Looks awesome with the nanobubbles forming but I'm worried about what happens to to the nutrient salts in the solution and the hydrogen gas build up sounds dangerous in a sealed environment.

    Nice that the electrodes are inert but any dissolved metals would build up on there just as fast, its called electro plating. Also wondering how the fish like the voltage potential in the water espacially catfish, rays and sharks species that use electricity to sense and see. I am interested in possibly purchasing your O2 Grow product, for use in our aquaponic system. I'm sure that it would help with plant growth and to some extent, be beneficial for our tilapia. However, I have read an article that stated that over-oxygenation can lead to a fish kill. I want optimal plant and fish growth (basically a happy ecosystem). What O2 grow is showing looks like a great compliment to help a system thrive. How do I size our equipment, to the needs of our system size? We have a 3,300 gallon pool for the fish and another 1,200-1,500 gallons of water, running through raised grow beds, that are supporting our efforts to grow healthy green veggies.

    What happens with the hydrogen from the electrolysis? Is it just released to the air above water? Is it not like obnoxiously explosive?

  • @lowkey213
    @lowkey213 Před 2 lety +1

    What about the hydrogen in the water… let’s say I was dumb enough to plug this thing in. Then I want to use the water. That means I have to turn it off. So how long until the hydrogen is out, but the oxygen remains. And at the end of that point in time. What’s the parts per million. Cause you can’t electrocute the fish you feel me. And how does the cost of electrolysis compare to an air pump? Cause obviously that computer power supply in a plastic box has been marked up 1000 fold…. So if your gonna sell me something, sell me. Don’t show me a magic trick of bubbles in the water. I’ll come back at you with a ultrasonic mister that’s cheaper and faster at the magic trick.

They should have repurposed micro bubble shower heads. Less complicated. Looks like they're product has a lot less bubbles then average shower head. I smell bankruptcy but who cares they borrowed the money anyway. This is what happens when people don't earn the money before they start a company.
