Is the oxygen content sufficient in the pond? In this test we look at the oxygen-producing factors, but especially at the oxygen-consuming elements in the pond.
    The test will surprise you!
    - We test the filters for oxygen uptake or release,
    - What happens to the oxygen content if the system fails?
    - What happens if you add medication to the water?
Do you need an (extra) air pump? View the range in our webshop www.koihuis.nl

If you don't want to oxygenate using air pumps and air stones you can use the ultimate Multi- venturi on your water pump outflow pipes. It's extremely quiet compared to any other venturi. Its called a Grow Greenie Multi Venturi nozzle. You can find it on youtube.

Very interesting mate thanks for the video. I was lead to believe my bakki shower would add oxygen to the pond. I now have an air pump to keep the oxygen levels up.

Stefan, the video is fantastic. It would be great if you can produce more videos on keeping pond water quality as good as possible without breaking the bank. Many thanks for doing it in English👍👍

Wow this is very interesting regarding the bakki shower and oxygen depletion by the bacteria. Totally opposite to what I had been led to believe!! Thanks and I have subscribed. From Devon in the U.K.

It's perfect timing too.....yesterday I replaced my bottom drain with a spindrift aerated dome because I felt that my bakki shower and nexus 220 Just were not able to give enough oxygen despite people saying that bakki showers will add oxygen! Now I feel very justified and happy with my decision. And the koi are happy too!

I'd have liked to have also seen in pond readings with the in pond air turned off and filters still running, then again with the filters off and in pond air on

What's the best way to create more oxygen without using an air pump? It creates too much surface action and prevents me from viewing the koi in a calm gentle manner.

A helpful and informative video Stefan, thank you. Please might I ask two questions about the DO meter.
    Is your meter still working?
Would you still recommend the Milwaukie MW600 for a hobbyist or have you experience of a better alternative?

Does oxygenated water ie airstones in the filter for k1 moving bed return that oxygen into the pond?

What is the effect of the Dissolved oxygen to the Koi color to the Beni, Sumi and other color ?

    • @KoiTVjapan
      @KoiTVjapan  Před 2 lety +1

All colours will be brighter, because a koi that is in good condition wil show also a good color.
