More real world tracks and some oldies returning... I'd also like if they improve and fix the lobbies and add a B-Spec mode with full Sophy integration in the game. Am I realistic? I'm wondering the game is probably going to be supported until at least 2025 with costant updates.
I play Forza but last night i went to a friends and we played GT on his PSVR2, it was incredible. Im going to buy GT today and il be looking to pickup a VR set in the future aswell. I really didnt expect it to be that good.
City street tracks would be awesome! If I remember right, I enjoyed racing in downtown Chicago. The ability to dial Sophy difficulties up and down would be great!

For eagle eyed GT7 players Polyphony has already teased free roam in the opening movie via the quick segment showing players dodging traffic ala Assetto Corsa Wagan traffic mod that we have all seen.
I would love to see some point to point hill climb races like pikes peak road track maybe or goodwood festival of speed track but yeah i think that would be a big hit as well.
As a vr player I agree that would be nice to have a co pilot or a voice that keeps you informed and the distance of other cars or if they are right next to you
@@davidcupra4913 Depends on the race type. Race Comms are a thing in GT3, F1, etc. Asseto Corsa Competizione does it nicely, with the crew chief saying "Car on the left" then "Clear on the left" via the comms.
Seems like a slam dunk to add a separate VR league to the next Nations or whatever. You pick GT1/2/3, then say yes or no if you want to compete in the VR only league. Anyone who's on the fence about buying a VR headset might make the plunge and give you a bump in sales, and anyone who doesn't care... they don't care. Win/Win.
I agree with the suggestions for PSVR2. I really need more info about the race, just like racing on a screen. That would make PSVR2 "perfect" for this gen of consoles.
Yes to all tracks including everything GT historic and without doubt Monaco/Cote d’Azure. VR2 needs all times and info. Currently we’re blind which adds a layer of difficulty that we shouldn’t have to deal with. The concept of more single player RPG is pure gold. Team swaps sounds crazy but reckon the community would lap it up. It might even help clean the racing up too. And of course more cars please!

I remember some rumor years ago, before GT Sport was launched, that they were supposed to release an app with GPS so you could "create" your own track. Just imagine what an amazing thing that could've been 😮
Both Karting AND Super Formula need their own daily and season races. In the case of super formula the season should require a two player entry and custom livery registration for each team. I would also like to see more karting classes and a full online karting world championship.
Would love to see Monaco and Imola. I would also love to see a career mode, but only if every race is against Sophie or in a special multiplayer mode against other people at the same level

Adding Road Atlanta is what pushed me to buy the game and build a rig lol Also, the game being completely PSVR2 compatible is so sick with a rig. I’ve run Road Atlanta in a ‘22 GT3RS in PSVR2 and it is absolutely mental! You’ll start leaning and rolling with the car and it feels like it since your POV moves with you!
I need all tracks and cars from all Gran Turismo games. And we need much more racing event. We need a Gran Turismo that keeps us behind the virtual wheel for months or years. Maybe this is everything we all want in Gran Turismo 8.
Something I'd think would be interesting is if we could have a multi race championship against the Sophy AI. And it would have a semi-random track list, meaning everytime you do a new Sophy championship, the tracks set in the series would be different each time (ie, one instance the first track is Grand Valley then you run the whole championship again and the first track is changed to Suzuka)
I think team Driving would be an awesome thing that you could compete in teams of three and do a 24 hour race that would be really cool. That way we could have people in different time zones competing at the same time.
The original tracks are great, but they need more F1/Indycar-style cars to truly shine (especially the redesigned Trial Mountain and Deep Forest). And Polyphony, contrary to popular belief, don’t actually need the license for F1/Indycar style race cars (they could use aliases like they did with Gran Turismo 3’s 1986-1994 F1 cars, or more recently the F1500T-A).
Variety in the weeklies! Race A becomes 'One Make' and runs for 4 days. Race B becomes 'Sprint' and runs for 5 days. Race C becomes 'Strategy' and runs for 6 days. Create Race D, which is 'Endurance', 1 to 3 hours running 6 to 8 times a day and respawning 25 hours later (that gives everyone a chance to race). New race conditions every 7 days. New events most times you join online races. Simple game changer.
I would love to see seattle in GT7, back in the days I drove this track most of the time. Of cause free roam would be amazing. Love those online lobbies but do it on tracks feels just too limited.
The thing they need the most is precision driving like F1 23 has where it’s easier to use a controller that’s the one thing I would like to see cuz I stopped playing GT7 it feels like I can’t even turned all the way and I’ve tried every setting and so I switched to F1 23 when it came out and it feels amazing
The physics when your car flies sometimes glitches and in some cases, it feels like my car gets less gravity when i crash. Damage system similar to dirt 5 would be pretty cool too.
They should really just add a shit ton of features from GT4 into GT7, specifically all the events with flashy art that made you feel like you were taking part in something special, along with the brand specific cups. That paired with the Sophy AI would be stellar. Other than these options, everything else you mentioned would be fantastic, ESPECIALLY city tracks!
I 100% agree with you on the city road tracks, that would be so great. I also 100% agree with you on the role play lobbies. I'm always doing cops and robbers, car shows, drag racing and cruise nights. That's some of the most fun I've had in the game. Even my 7 year old daughter loves that.
You can’t add a city track like you can other tracks. You have to do it when it’s not being used for the thing it was originally mentioned to do: be a road. My guess is the best way to do it would be to take some time after a race on it to get some of the scanning done and keep doing that until you’ve scanned the whole track, but that takes significantly longer than just doing it in one go because you need to not interfere with the normal traffic conditions.
I can't believe no one is talking about B-spec mode that will also be a cool returning feature, especially if you can use your mic to command your driver, to me that's easy credits.
I wish they just added a ton of more tracks. There aren't that many, tbh..... It would be even more amazing if they brought local tracks into the game. They don't need to be 100%accurate .. but that would be a DLC if so money on for sure. I would LOVE to experience tracks from other States and countries, the likes of them which I'd never get to experience otherwise. .
I wish I could set a head position and save it on each car for VR. Any official motion system support would be awesome. If they do an open world free driving mode, I’d love to have it play like Tokyo Extreme Racer. I don’t personally want another NFS or Crew type game.

The main thing I am waiting for is weekly race diversity. I would come back to Gran Turismo if they would go away with class racing. Have 3 weekly class races. Race A- open class regulated by PP, weight, and drivetrain. Race B- Gr3 or Gr4, Race C weekly spec formula or Miata or whatever. And an update with VR HUD because I can't play the game without it anymore lol. I am completely over Gr3 and Gr4 racing on the same handful of tracks and Gran Turismo choosing the cars for us and not allowing any type of modifications or tuning or variety. We need way more street car racing because the GR3 and GR4 simulations on Gran Turismo are subpar to say the least. If I'm going to play Gran Turismo I'm not going to play it to race GR3 or GR4 cars lol...
I would like to see where we can race with friends and the AI in a custom race format like a co-op mode in RPG games. Need city tracks and maybe allow just front or rear tire changes in the pits. Sometimes my rear are allot worse then the front.

Totally agree with you on needing more Street Based circuits. Hopefully one day they'll include the Long Beach GP street circuit, they have scapes already that have Long Beach and it keeps with the trend of including US tracks in the game.
I can say from personal experience running 5 lobbies per day on roleplay servers hosting, everyone is really engaged. These lobbies may occasional “griefers” but everyone legitimately does their part even through the limited interactions through text chat on console. 16/16 lobbies are a daily occurrence but I haven’t had the time like I used to. We had fleets of different vehicles and with PD adding more and more ‘civilian’ or city life cars, it would make sense for them to finally settle with a free roam of sorts with AI. The only issue would revolve around the company licenses (looking at Toyota) who try to part their ways from an ‘illegal’ scene.
For the love of God, please bring back the “create a track” mode. With today’s graphics, that would be epic. I used to create tracks and invite my friends to the lobby to race them. It was amazing and I think it would be a game changer for Gran Turismo 7.

i'd like to see them try and use sophy in the penalty system. get a load of drivers to race dirty, both blatant and subtle, against drivers racing clean, and use the data from that to train sophy so it can work out if a driver was dirty or not then dish out a severe penalty if it was deemed dirty.
I would like a project cars 1 type of career mode with f1 contract system on top of it. And being able to gain extra fans points depending on the cars you own and side races you do in between the weekends.
I wanna see everything you're talking about. Yeah the team swapping is gonna feel tedious and like chore. But so what we're Sim racers we want to feel like the real drivers because for some of us this is as close as we can get granted I turn my nose up at 30 minutes on Le Mans cause I'm on controller but at the same rate I want this to feel like a job but fun at the same time. I'm disabled can't work can barely walk but I'm a racer at heart.
I would love to see more cars in the online lobbies.. 16 cars is not enough.. 20-24 cars would be awesome, and NOT a problem!.. and more tracks, both race tracks and city tracks would be welcome

I would like to see where we can race with friends and the AI in a custom race format like a co-op mode in RPG games. Need city tracks and maybe allow just front or rear tire changes in the pits. Sometimes my rear are allot worse then the front.
the most needed thing is another authorized brand providing direct drive wheel base, instead of letting fanatec rule the market with high price products

Totally agree with you on needing more Street Based circuits. Hopefully one day they'll include the Long Beach GP street circuit, they have scapes already that have Long Beach and it keeps with the trend of including US tracks in the game.

I can say from personal experience running 5 lobbies per day on roleplay servers hosting, everyone is really engaged. These lobbies may occasional “griefers” but everyone legitimately does their part even through the limited interactions through text chat on console. 16/16 lobbies are a daily occurrence but I haven’t had the time like I used to. We had fleets of different vehicles and with PD adding more and more ‘civilian’ or city life cars, it would make sense for them to finally settle with a free roam of sorts with AI. The only issue would revolve around the company licenses (looking at Toyota) who try to part their ways from an ‘illegal’ scene.
....also give us the opportunity to race with AI along with friends in lobby and single races. It's so boring with 2 cars. Forza needs this as well
For the love of God, please bring back the “create a track” mode.

I used to create tracks and invite my friends to the lobby to race them.
It was amazing and I think it would be a game changer for Gran Turismo 7.

Need the new corvette C8.R, more LMP1 prototypes, Sebring raceway, and yes more endurance races!!! At least more hr long races at other tracks other than spa. Multi class racing would be cool too but that’s a stretch.

i'd like to see them try and use sophy in the penalty system. get a load of drivers to race dirty, both blatant and subtle, against drivers racing clean, and use the data from that to train sophy so it can work out if a driver was dirty or not then dish out a severe penalty if it was deemed dirty.

I would like a project cars 1 type of career mode with f1 contract system on top of it. And being able to gain extra fans points depending on the cars you own and side races you do in between the weekends.

I wanna see everything you're talking about. Yeah the team swapping is gonna feel tedious and like chore. But so what we're Sim racers we want to feel like the real drivers because for some of us this is as close as we can get granted I turn my nose up at 30 minutes on Le Mans cause I'm on controller but at the same rate I want this to feel like a job but fun at the same time. I'm disabled can't work can barely walk but I'm a racer at heart.
I would love to see more cars in the online lobbies.. 16 cars is not enough.. 20-24 cars would be awesome, and NOT a problem!.. and more tracks, both race tracks and city tracks would be welcome
street racing and no hesi, they showed it in the opening trailer when you get the game but there is nothing on it. I reckon it would be really good on like tracks like Tokyo and maybe freeway roads of real freeways around the world.
