I am not a flight instructor and my videos are not to be used as a resource for real-world flight training. They are only intended as tutorials for casual use in flight simulators like Microsoft Flight Simulator.

How has Kip not yet been hired directly by Working Title? He is clearly THE renowned expert on their work!
😆❤️
i had the same thoughts sometime ago! He's the best out there! Perfect consultant for MSFS.
Hate repeating what others have said Kip, but your tutorials are the best by far. Learnt so much from you over the past 3 years from basic IFR through to RNAV, all that together with amazing explanations sim equipment NXI and 530/430 etc. I am constantly returning to your videos to refresh myself. Well done, do you have a patreon page if not get one. Thank you for everything.
Thanks for coming back with another fantastic tutorial. You are the best.
Glad you liked it! Nice to be back in the sim. Cheers.
Glad to see this addition but comparing this to the GTN750 version it clearly shows how much of a cluster using the non-touch screen Garmins are!
Great overview. Thanks!
omg how did i not know about this plugin/update yet. auto in-game charts.. AND easy setup of simbrief flight plans. this is freaking GOLD. ive been a navigraph customer since i started msfs... its one of my fav and one of the most useful apps. i wont play without having it open. i think my auto updates are turned off ima have to go check it when i get home
Great video! Keeping things simple!
This is really great. Tipped me over the edge to get a Navigraph sub. Thanks Kip!
Nice, hope you enjoy it as much as I do! IMO, Navigraph is the best "extra" that someone can buy.
Great explanation. Thanks
Good overview! Thnx!
It would take me weeks to work out this great add on.. How on earth do you do this so quickly...Very much appreciated...Really wish the Fokker 28 had a G1000 rather than a 550.. That would make it a fantastic airliner.
How does Kip assimilate new stuff sooo quickly? his brain works at a different frequency to mine. it's like I missed a brain upgrade somewhere.
I think he actually reads the directions!
@@deltatango5293 Well, this might explain some of it... 😏
OMG and I hav a Ipad wires junk to get get the plates Many Thanks Well done !!!
Thanks Kip.
Thanks!
Unfortunately the first flight I took in the DA62 after installing it I could not see my arrival and approach in the normal g1000 map. It just ENDED. Tried loading them from the PROC menu but to no avail. The arrival and approach was simply missing and the aircraft flew straight on with no guidance in GPS mode.
Had to remove it to restore it to working order again, obviously a major bug.
Hi Kip. You as always have great videos. I am wondering if you could do one on the Octavi (smallest cockpit) I purchased one, but the instructions they have require a computer geek to setup. What they need is a setup and install program. Thank you for your attention. You do awesome work on here.
Thanks! I don't do hardware reviews (who knows what the future holds, but I don't have plans to, at least), but that's a cool looking device though - hadn't heard of it before. Looks like they do have some instructions on their website, so hopefully that's enough to get you going: www.octavi.net/ifr-1
Hmm I wonder how this plugin works. Does it replace the G1000 code with its own, or just add to it? I have heavily customized the G1000 at this point, so will have to see.
My guess would be that the Working Title team added support for Navigraph's plugin to their software (Navigraph was added to the G3000/5000 first, and now to the G1000, both of which Working TItle has developed for Microsoft). So, if the Navigraph plugin is installed, it enables these features in the G1000. Interested to hear if it still works with whatever customizations you have going on with your G1000 :-)
@@KipOnTheGround Yeah one of the updates in the last MSFS patch stated that plugin support was added to the G1000. I haven't tested it yet but best I can tell from trolling in the files is as you say it is a true add-on
Has anyone heard if this plug-in might be offered on the XBOX platform in the future?
It has to be specifically supported by aircraft developers to be available in Xbox. In the Navigraph blog post, they announced that the upcoming FSReborn Piper M500 will be the first with the G1000 plugin support for Xbox.
Here's that blog post: navigraph.com/blog/g1000-plugin
Why must the plane icon (my location) be so cartoony?
Will this work with XBox consoles buddy ?
It seems like with Xbox it needs to be implemented on a plane-by-plane basis by the developers. Navigraph said that the upcoming FSReborn Piper M500 will include the plugin, but I believe that’s the only one announced so far.
If you have any CTD in DX12 after installing this, or a FPS degrade in any aircraft it is because of this API!
Tip: start by saying that this feature is not freeware and you need to pay for it.
Too much money to subscribe. I'll just keep using my tablet.
