I started a series for the CySA+! You can watch my first video at czcams.com/video/xT6afzxvkJ0/video.html
Good luck everyone, be sure to let me know when you pass!
Mate, thanks a lot on these videos. Is it possible for you to create a few more of these Sec+ questions? They are a great help!
JUST STARTED WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS YESTERDAY AND TOOK THE TEST THIS MORNING AND PASSED. THANK YOU SO MUCH YOUR WAY OF THINKING SAVED ME!!!!!!!!!
Congrats! That’s awesome!
Passed 762. (85%)
Your videos taught me to slow down and dissect the questions so I wouldn’t miss any hints.
CompTIa Sec+ study and practice test, and your videos was my main study material.
Linux is a must have so Linux+ is my next step, plus I already use it anyway.
Congrats! That's awesome. Yeah, the most important part to any CompTIA exams is to understand how the questions are asked and learning how to dissect each question to find the BEST answer. Linux is one of the only CompTIA exams I haven't done, but I should! Congrats again!
My dude!!!! I took my Sec+ 701 this morning and passed! Your questions are definitely more realistic. I have not worked in a tech role and this was my first time taking a CompTIA test. Your way of breaking down the questions really helped me a ton!
Congrats! That’s huge!! I’m glad my videos helped. Good luck on whatever’s next!
Just passed my SEC+ today. Watching your videos helped me see what sort of questions I would have. I appreciate your work in making these!
That's awesome to hear! Here's a pin. Congrats!
would you say these questions are close to the real one ?
@@shaq-vv1ft they were similar, and carried the same vibe.
@@Petrullero777 okay cuz im going through these questions rn and getting like 2-4 wrong per vid
Congratulations on ur result.I am also planning to take exam in next month. Can you please help me what other resources you used so that it would be helpful for me as well
Just came here to thank you! I passed my sec plus yesterday. I’m planning on doing a yt video on resources I used and I will for sure be mentioning you ❤️ it really felt like they’re testing your reading and comprehension skills but the method of reading the question, reading the answers and going back to the question after knocking some answers out is what really helped me. Keep it up!
Congratulations!! And that’s awesome you’re making videos!
Just passed the exam :D. Thank you James, these videos were very helpful in terms of breaking down the the question and picking out key words.
That’s amazing! Congrats!
Hey James, just wanted to say thanks mate, I passed my Sec+ exam 2 days ago and it was largely due to your videos and the exam prep you do, but also how you view and logically go through the questions. I looked at the questions differently in the exam thanks to your videos and I think it was golden in helping me pass. So, I thank you sir😊😊!
Congratulations on your pass :) I’m happy to hear my videos helped! Good luck to what’s next!
Just passed my exam today!
Your videos really helped me understand how to dissect the exam questions
Congrats!!!! What’s next?!
Thanks for having all these questions needing the MOST correct answer. These are the ones I really hate the most but have to work through.
Nice video!
i like how you give the question that makes me to think more critically and also improve analysis techniques to get the answer. just pass my sec+ exam today, big thanks and support to you!
Congrats on passing!!!
Hi mate just wanted to say how much I appreciate your vids. Passed the Sec+ this morning and your question breakdowns were so helpful!
Thank you for doing this, I can't tell you how much it has helped!!
I’m happy to help :)
Thank you for your content James. Really appreciate 👍
My pleasure!
I appreciate your videos. They are of great help.
Absolutely I’m happy to help!
Thank You for this… it really helps… I appreciate you!!!💐
Thank you! I'm glad I can help.
I passed!!! Thank you u helped me study A LOT
Great questions. You are the best. Keep them coming if you can. Thanks.
Thank you so much!
Really good questions and really good explanations.
Thank you!
Thank you very much fo the effort and time invested on this, really greatful.
Thank you this means a lot. I enjoy making these videos, and it keeps me up to date too!
I was waiting for you to post 👏🏽
Haha yeah getting the questions took a while on this one!
Thanks
No problem
Thanks for everthing please part 5
For those who have taken the Sec+ after watching James practice exam, please comment here and elaborate on your experience and how it was compared to these vids he has been dropping. Great explanation and walk through btw!!!
for me, the exam was very similar to these questions but with a lot of abbreviations. so you need know what they stand for in order to get the correct answer. I passed the 701 exam just a few days ago and I watched all of his videos the night before to prepare. id also go on Udemy when they have a sale and buy some highly rated practice exams for cheap because that's what I did and helped out a lot.
Overall good stuff and I appreciate you making these videos. But I do have a question: Is a question like #16 really security related? Do such questions appear on Sec+?
Thanks for the video series, for question 18, if the company does not have backups, how do they have an incident response plan? I would think in this sceniro, contacting law enforcement, would provide them with resources to manage the incident. just my thought.
Thank you for all these post! I take my exam on March 4th, and I’ve really been studying going over these practice test professor messer etc. really hoping I pass
You got this! Looking forward to seeing your "I PASSED!" comment!
did you pass ? and would you say these questions are close to the real one ?
So how did it go?
I passed the 601, Thank you!🥰
Congratulations!
Dude great questions! BTW where are you getting them from? CompTIAs website?
The questions are created using the CompTIA Objectives!
Question 9: Just a username and password without 2FA or something similar is considered “strong authentication”? With CompTIA, is their focus not on asking REAL questions in its entirety and grammatically but more on our ability just to give the BEST answer out of the given choices even if it doesn’t make sense?
Question 19: By your reasoning, you didn’t choose answer A because it didn’t address BOTH the web AND CMS, but you chose answer D, which only addressed the CMS, but not the web. That’s confusing. From a testing standpoint for a beginner, how should we think about the inconsistency this question and its answers?
Thanks for your time!
Nice vid, are these questions realistic to the real comptia questions?
They’re formatted similar to what you should expect on the exam!
Ok thanks! If you're also from the UK is this certification enough to land a job in cyber security if i have a couple years experience as a software developer?
Some of these are a lot harder than any of the exam questions messer and dion ever gave. I scored 90% on messer but 70% on this.
I was wondering where you went! Got a 715 on my firts go around. Determined to pass it my second 💪💪😤😤
Make sure to look at the paper/PDF depending on if you took the exam in person or online! It should show you objectives where you need to dig a little bit deeper. Let me know when you pass, you got this!
@@ImCyberJames That's my problem, it said "you missed one or more in these sections" and literally showed every section 😭😭😭😂😔
Hey Im prepping for the exam as well, were there a lot of acronims like people say? also good luck on the next try!
@@Fernando_Quintana Not really, the acronyms that are in the exam objectives are pretty much the ones that will show up either in the question or in the answers
Awesome content though a few answers could be debatable, like 13, the wording being 'most likely', I personally struggle to see how a Zero day, being a very rare and costly exploit would be 'most likely' in any scenario.
Is this 701 0r 601?
I am a little confused on question one. From my understanding, credential stuffing uses stolen username and password PAIRS and the prompts says that the credential are being "randomly generated". Without more context in the question, this sounds more like password spraying or brute force.
Let's say I had a list of legitimate usernames and password matches from company X, and I wanted to use that list on a totally unrelated company Y. There is a very high chance that none of them would work. However, it could look very random. Also, randomly generated is a very subjective term in IT.
Out of the 4 possible options, Credential stuffing attack is the only one that would make sense. This is a very common tactic on CompTIA exams, especially on the Pentest+ exam with many tools in the objectives that do very similar things. There could be a better answer that fits the scenario, question, and symptoms, but it's important to pick the right solution out of the available options.
Can you do PBQs ?
This has been requested by a few others as well. I may do a video dedicated to just PBQ's in the future.
Passed today, security+ 601. huge thank you for the videos they helped big time!
That’s amazing! Congrats!
