CYSA would be great
The CySA+ was one of the more fun exams I passed. I’ll see what I can do in the future 👍
any new security+ study material ?
Recently failed my sec + (703) but I’m not giving up, this video is helping me break down questions and better prepare for it a second time
I love how you read each question and then come back to key words after reading the answer choices... this was super engaging!! thank you.
Glad you liked it!!
The additional knowledge you provide to every question and answer is Gold. Doing my cert soon. Wish me luck.
Having a weekly practice questions are/is very, very helpful. Since multiple people are writing test questions in order to maintain their certs, you reading them and dissecting to find the answer is very helpful for folks who are not strong readers. Keep up the good work for Security+
I like that. Please post more questions. You're doing a great job. God bless!
Phenomenal work James
I absolutely love the difficulty of these questions
Thank you Mr. James. I usually am not able to watch long videos without getting distracted, but the format and pace you had was perfect.
That means a lot, thank you!
Definitely drop more of these. The way you voiced your thought process on each question gives an idea on how we should go about thinking when it comes to the exam.
There’s another one scheduled for 6pm CST this evening. But yes, a big part to every CompTIA exam I’ve done required an understanding on the format of the question. Once you get that down, it becomes much clearer which of the possible answers to pick!
By far the best practice test video I’ve watched. Good job, more please!!!
I appreciate that! I’ll have another one for Security+ available Friday evening :)
This is exactly what I needed. I drive a lot and want to study so it helps that you read it out loud and slowly.
I'm glad that these videos are helpful! Thank you!
Thanks for this. I feel like I have a pretty good understanding of all of the concepts, but the way that the questions and answers are worded can be tricky.
Thanks alot dude. I am studying for the exam now and this highlighted some weak points but overall I am ok. Really enjoyed that! Thanks and keep em coming!
Very good vids man. I am studying to take my SEC+ course and your videos are really helping me gauge where I am with the multiple choice portion of the exam.
I am looking forward on checking out all your other vids :)
P.S. love the training style
I think that in Question 7 the correct one is B, not C. Answer C protects the CRM application from the attacker reading the data but it does not protect it from unauthorized access. I think Answer B is more accurate.
I just finished that question and immediately came to the comment section. I was thinking exactly the same way as you did. Not sure if C is correct on that question.
I agree but after he is finished with the question it shows the correct answer. But I think B should be correct as well. Tough question
No, only because the data stored on the CRM is is now encrypted following option C, so even if an attacker could get it they would not be able to decrypt the stored data. Obviously its preferred that they can't get in but if it were possible for them to get around the MFA (Which it is), they would compromise all there customer information.
This is really helpful! Thanks!
Very good breakdown and analysis with keywords.
Man this is super helpful content, appreciate it! Wherever you take this channel Im sure if you put the same level of thought and care it will be great, keep it up!
I appreciate that!

so helpful. On my security+ journey and didnt know how to prepare for the exams, so this was super informative and definitely helpful. thank you James 👊
Glad it was helpful! Make sure to also use other material and don't overdo it! Good luck, be sure to come back once you pass! Looking forward to hearing.
Thank you, I passed my SY0-601 exam yesterday after watching your videos. Although the questions in the test were diffrent but your methods helped in the test.
Congrats! Yeah, the questions in these videos are not exact questions. That would go against the NDA that we signed when we passed the Security+ exam. The questions are designed to be similar in format to what you'd expect, the same objectives, and a little more wording to help train test fatigue. I'm glad you passed, what's next?
Was it so difficult? Please lmk cus I’m studying for mine
@@thegamerx2515it’s not hard, just take your time to read and understand what the question is asking. If you are not sure about an answer, go with your first guess.

Thanks for sharing James! I’m taking the sec+ exam in about 8 weeks. You breaking the questions down to figure out exactly what they’re asking and using the process of elimination with the answers helped me grasp what should be my thought processes during the exam. Appreciate it!

Appreciate the breakdowns on your answers and taking the time to explain explain. I'm just starting to get into Cyber Sec. I've always been into Tech, computers and networking so I'm familiar with a lot of terms and some knowledge, but for someone who hasn't done any schooling, it's nice to have breakdowns and explanations of each answers

Great thanks!
Actually studying for my net+ right now but took a look to see what'd cole next and I was surprised about how many I could answer just from studying the net+. There's hope!
I feel like question 7 is quite arguable
The end of the question says “prevent unauthorized access to the application”, not preventing the attacker from directly stealing the unencrypted data
Implement multi-factor authentication has stronger matches for me
RIGHT!!?? I would've gotten that wrong. I had the same logic as you.
Yep. I think like you. "Question 7 and answer C? I would choose MFA because even if the database is encrypted, any user who logs in somehow will gain access to the data."
Same. C doesn't make sense to me as it does not prevent unauthorized access to the application and MFA would do just that
I'd like to see more.🙂
Got 15 out of 20!!!! Guess my studying are paying off😂 I see my problem now, I read it to fast without taking the time to understand what it’s asking of me. Thanks
Question 19: A CASB incorporates encryption and protects sensitive info through DLP. By incorporating that, wouldn’t that encrypt already exposed data and at the same time protect that same data from future exposure?
It would have been helpful if you explained why you didn’t choose answer ’A’ 😊
hello thank you for this.can you do more videos like this especiall for 701 security plus.
Hi James, thanks for the video. Is the difficulty level of these questions same with the questions in the real exam?
Great questions. Thank you

I'll be doing 1 more for Security+ 701!
Great video! I'm planning on taking the Sec+ in a few weeks. Quick question... Is there a huge difference between the 601 and 701? I believe since I'm taking the exam before July I'll be taking the 601, but will I confuse myself if I'm doing 701 practice tests?
Hi James,
Thank you for these questions and answers! They are very helpful. I do have a concerning question: I will be taking the exam soon and I heard most of the questions and answers are in acronyms. I'm not really good at memorizing acronyms. Do you have any advice on this?
Thank you!
That is correct, most of the exam is written using the acronyms. The way I learned the acronyms was by using flashcards! After a while the acronyms will be second nature. If you want the full list of the acronyms check the description of this video, I linked to the exam objectives and at the very bottom are the acronyms. Good luck, let me know when you pass!!!
@@ImCyberJamesThank you for your timely responses! Very helpful!
Question 7 and answer C? I would choose MFA because even if the database is encrypted, any user who logs in somehow will gain access to the data.
I agree, i guessed MFA too. An encrypted database doesn’t stop someone from brute forcing or keylogging their way into the actual SaaS application. Not like its encrypted in the GUI. Im still studying but this video has opened my eyes to the tricks they play on the exam.
these questions are scary man
Great helpful content. I want more of it. Too many adverts though😢
I finally passed this exam after more than 60 days of study, with small interruptions. I am already ccna, ccna security, linux essentials, lpic-1,and CCNP. I must say the study guide has a lot of information to memorise and abbreviations, but unfortunately less hands on labs. Comptia should implement more practical labs, and reduce the theory, which will be forgotten in less than a year. My score was below 800, but for a job interview i doubt i have to know what measures i have to implement to stop intruders entering an airport secure area. It is not an easy exam, take your time, study at least 2 hours per day, do practice exams as much as you can, and you are good to go. One more thing, if you intend to start a career in cybersecurity, start learning linux first.
are you employed in a cybersecurity role?
@@aFutureSelf Yes I am.
@sybex200 what else would u recommend? Apart from learning Linux?

great questions. just curious as to the % of similarities from the actual questions conducted during the exam?
These questions are based off of the Security+ 701 exam objectives and are formatted in a way very similar to how CompTIA structures their questions. They're not exact questions as that would be against the NDA. The key to passing CompTIA exams is understanding how to dissect the question to see what it's actually asking by finding keywords based on the scenario and question asked. From there the answer becomes a lot more clear! But it's important to note that these are not real CompTIA questions, just ones similarly structured to how they ask theirs.
Hi, thanks for you video. I've one question if official exam is on the same difficulty level as questions in video? I'm taking my assesment at the end of april and still try to catch my weakness
People have given feedback that these questions are harder!
You mean your questions are harder? or comptia exam?@@ImCyberJames
Gotta say I'm not convinced on Question 18... Definitely very on-the-edge between B and D, but having worked in a SCIF extensively, I still feel like D is just a hair more accurate. After all, if employees don't comply with access control policy, no amount of security measures will stop them from just walking right through the front door. Commandment 1 of the SCIF was don't hold the door, make sure you're the only one passing through and that the door closes behind you. Otherwise, badge/fingerprint MFA is useless. Probably just over-analysis on my part.
Awesome write-up though! Super useful. I'm identifying some gaps in my knowledge. Some of these questions really trip you up...
100% D, training is the MORE correct answer.
I feel like these questions rely more on theory than on the actual real life scenario. By definition tailgating means gaining access to unauthorized area. If you google how to prevent tailgating the no.1 answer is by enforcing physical security measures (this includes guards/security staff as well). If someone sneaks behind an employee who badges in it would be the guard's job to stop the intrusion. You have to train the security personnel more than the others.
D is more accurate for smaller places/ single company office. In a shared building you cannot rely on employees from other companies even if you trained yours.
Thanks a lot

Hi sir, is this Practice Exam for SY0-601 or SY0-701? 601 Expires June 30 which I'm studying for. Please confirm.
BTW, your doing a great job with these Questions and Answers drill. Thanks
Thank you for the feedback! For Part 1-3 the questions are based on the objectives that are in both the 601 and 701. This means for 1-3 they’re suitable for both the 601 and 701. For part 4, those objectives are from the 701
How should I prepare for 601 after part 4?
Now are all the questions on these four videos the same questions as what’s on the test? Are there other questions on the test if so, are they structured like these questions or just acronyms?
They are not the exact answers from CompTIA as that would go against my NDA. They are formatted to be similar and are within the exam objectives.
Please do more
I disagree with question 18. What would force the tailgating persons to sign in? The person opening the door didn’t notice it being done before so wouldn’t action the person to sign in
Security guards or someone at front that greets all persons who enter. Thats usually how its done. The person walking isnt really responsible for looking out for that, so they'll always miss it.
Are these sy 601 or sy701?
Can you post what sec+ cert version you are reviewing please
My part 1, 2, and 3 videos are based on objectives that fit the 601 and 701 exam. Part 4 is based off of 701
Thanks. I am trying to get 601 done. Love your videos. I will keep watch 1,2,3👍🏻
Question 19: !!!!!!!
How does encrypting all sensitive data "prevent future" misconfigured cloud buckets from accidentally being made public?
This was a great set of questions, honestly a little more difficult on a few, really forcing attention to detail.
Great video, is it regarding 601 or 701?
It''s technically from the 701 objectives, but each question is made using overlap from both 601 and 701
i HATE number 18, the question says from tailgating, which means theres not just a door that someone can walk into freely. access is already limited and they had to sneak in behind a real employee which means they already have the physical security controls. D imo is the better answer and more logical because it trains people to be very aware of someone that shouldnt have access.
That is confusing indeed. By definition tailgating happens when an unauthorized individual gains access to a restricted area, it doesn't say that the area has to be secured. Think about restaurants that have a personnel only sign for the kitchens. They do not have badges etc. and someone can sneak behind them => tailgating. The thing is that even if you train your personnel you can't rely only on that for security (otherwise you wouldn't implement a lot of other security measures ). If you search strictly on how to prevent tailgating, the no.1 answer is physical security measures. Hope that helps in any way :D
Great!
Thanks!
This is cool, if possible to have pbq
