I provisionally passed my CISSP yesterday and got my endorsement as well as the confirmation letter from ISC2, and I can honestly say that this video and way of thinking was seriously, I mean seriously the most helpful in helping me pass. I went from taking practice tests and continually asking WTF? to confidently attacking them and when I took the test, I can't count how many times the mindset in this video helped me answer questions I otherwise would have been stumped. Thank you Andrew!
Congratulations and celebrate well 🎉
Thank you! Knowing that did it will help me for my June 24 (in about two months) CISSP Exam schedule will be helpful! I’m also grateful for TIA for exposing me into “How to think like a manager!” Mindset. 🙏!
@@TechnicalInstituteofAmericado you have CISSP on Udemy Business?
Question 40 should be 4950 as the answer. 100 x 99 / 2 = 4950.
I'm taking my CISSP tomorrow. thanks for the insightful tips. :)
exactly what I was getting! questioned my math skills :D
I also agree- if this was a question I guess I would go with his answer because it is closest to the right number while having enough keys to satisfy the requirement… still a bad question
I agree. Thanks god I saw your guys discussion. I guess we go with bigger number.
To get 5050, it would have to be 101 nodes. Either the question or answer needs to be fixed.
Totally!
Just passed cissp 1st attempt @ 125q. This was very important on me passing. I am a construction project manager hoping to break into the industry with 0 experience. Wish me luck.
With that cert you should be good
I passed yesterday my CISSP on first attempt. I discovered that video 2 days ago and it really help me put me in the right mindset. Thank you for your video.
Congratulations and celebrate well 🎉
any tips?
question 40 : 100(100-1)/2 =4950... the answerers are wrong. But very helpful session!! great mindsets
Thanks hey i thought i was going crazy
me too!!!!! thanks for adding the comment!
I thought I was losing my mind. I questioned my own sanity.
The answer is b. 5050 because you need at least 4950 keys. 4900 is to little. the others are not efficient, way to much.
I passed yesterday! I have to say this was incredibly helpful. The idea of 'if you pick one, you're not getting the other' helped me decide on an answer more than a few times. Thanks for the help! GL all!
today I provisionally passed my CISSP, i would specially thanks to you for making such kind of content that help candidates for preparing their exams with proper mind sets, i was following most of your videos that prepared me for the exam, I am very happy to clear the exam, thank you so much.
congrats!!! I go to test next month. Hopefully I can join you soon :)
Provisionally passed CISSP today after 125 most hardest questions I ever answer in a Test. Expect a lot of questions like the num 34 in this video, I mean very very hard questions. Thanks Andrew, you have maked an awesome work with this vide, really helpful
I passed the CISSP yesterday and I can’t tell you how incredibly valuable this video was for understanding the question format and the CISSP mindset. Thank you, Andrew!!
what other material did you reference?
I passed on my first attempt. This video is one of the pillars of a proper CISSP candidate mindset
I passed after 175 questions and this was essential. Think like a manager, or director even, and if you pick one you don't get the other!
Just took my CISSP and passed 1st try!! Your videos were 100% worth it!! Thanks!
Passed the cissp exam today and can honestly say this video was key to understanding how to read the questions and how to evaluate which answer fits the question best. Keep up the great work
Any tips?
@@jaya2821 Tips for the exam, don't get down on yourself as the exam is draining and exhausting. The whole time writing the exam I didn't know if I was passing or failing and it wasn't because I didn't know the answers (I have been in Security for years) it was because the way the questions were worded. I am very technical minded, getting out of that technical mindset is not easy. Your video really helped break down how to approach the questions and peal away the answers choices that are not correct for the question until one was left.
Its almost like the CISSP exam isn't testing your knowledge but rather your mindset for security.
Keep up the good work and will check out your other videos for my next course.
I finished this entire video and I must say that after completing all of the questions the key thing I've gathered is the CISSP mindset. All of my nerves are gone as I approach taking this exam. I am reading the questions very differently moving forward as I now understand that this exam is about understanding concepts, frameworks, and how to apply them. ANDREW YOU ROCK!
Thank you for this video. I provisionally passed the CISSP today 😀
Thank you for this video I passed CISSP on first attempt last month. This is what’s needed for the ISC2 mindset please continue these for CCSP as well. Grateful !
Congratulations and celebrate well 🎉
Taking a test in 5 days, these questions are really helpful to see a broader picture, although i have noticed that , when i tried to overthink and "Think like a manager" i have stopped being technical person, so i have answered wrongly.... Bottom line is, go with your guts, i would be more satisfied to make a mistake because of the inner feeling misguided me, than to try to overthink things, because it will be a disaster....
I provisionally passed the CISSP on my first attempt today! The exam ended right after the 125th question. It was hard and challenging. Make sure you know your stuff and understand the concepts. Kudos Andrew! Thank you!🎉
What all resources u used for cissp
THANKS, YOU REALLY CHANGE MY MINDSET, I WILL MAKE IT.
YOU HELPED ME PASSED THE SECURITY+ MONTHS AGO, I WILL BE BACK HERE WITH THE CISSP NEXT MONTH
Congratulations and celebrate well 🎉
Q 24. Thank for the stupendous effort put in Andrew. However, the incident response steps listed in both the CBK and OSG is Detection --> Response --> Mitigation --> Report --> Recovery --> Remediation --> Lessons learnt. Since we "detected" the incident, the next step is "Response" where we activate the IR team who determine how big of a delay in the incident, how long the impact, whether to declare disaster etc.
Hence, I believe that A. "Identify the scope & Impact of the incident" should be the answer
Totally agreed. How can you contain something if you don’t know the scope of it?
I would have cancelled out the first option as this is a Distributed Dos not just a DoS. There is more than one source. Also, the wording is horrid. The question specifically says "during the mitigation stage" but then talks about detect and response. It seems to me the best answer is B.
Agreed. This one is like the question 11 when it ask about the most important goal during DETECTION AND RESPONSE phase and his answer end up with Mitigating and restore? HELLO!!!!!!!!!! 😂😂 but sure his mindset will help a lot❤
I agree. I have issues with q.11 and q.24
I came to the comments section to see what people thought of this question. I agree with @jonathandvenport1172 How can you contain something tht you dont know the scope of? Can anyone elaborate on this one?
@TechnicalInstituteofAmerica , can you please check the calculation for question 40? Using the formula you provided, I think the answer should be 4,950
Same here, I am just trying to understand why he chose B.
Yep, I came up with 4950 as well, not an answer either?
Came here to see if someone else noticed it. 4950 instead of 5050.
Thanks for this amazing video.
Same, the correct answer is 4950
I listened to this video right before taking the exam and I have to say this helped me pass. I had the technical knowledge base, but this video really helped me understand what the best choice will be. Thank you so much!!!!
I highly reccomend any one preparing for the CISSP exam to watch this video. I watched it about a week before my exam on March 28th. If I had more time between when I found this video and my test, I would have taken the full course. The material and strategy Andrew teaches is spot on to the type of questions and choices you will see on the exam. I passed at the minimum 125 questions. Thank you Andrew!
Would you say these questions are somewhat close in terms of format or difficulty? What other resources did you use? How did you know when you were ready?
This was a huge help for me. I managed to pass a few days ago at question 150. Thank you!
GREAT 50 CISSP questions for reinforcing some of the ISC2 CBK. It really helped me to understand how to approach a specific question, and how to think like a manager. Very helpful for exam preparation and building confidence towards exam day. I am waiting for part 2 on another 50 CISSP questions soon...
Thank you for your breakdown and explanations as well as having the managers mindset. Very well done!
Passed the CISSP exam today, thanks for the great tips and mindset on selecting the BEST choice.
I somehow found you while I was looking for CISSP Information. I'm really glad to found your videos!
Passed provisionally last week, love this video, terrific insight.
I passed my CISSP exam today and this video helped me a ton. Thank you!
You are the right person in the right place. This video might as well have 500 questions and I would watch it until the end
Thank you for teaching us the CISSP mindset, awesome content, questions, and teaching delivery.
Thank you for these amazing tips Andrew. These were instrumental in getting hang of the CISSP mindset. Happy to share that I have passed CISSP.
This is great information I'm studying now after taking my CYSA+ last month and taking my security+ years ago. I really have to focus on how the questions are asked because a lot of the information on the CYSA+ and Security+ is the exact information on the CISSP. Thank you for making this video!
Hi Andrew - I want to thank you for this video on CISSP Mindset. I passed the CISSP today. Your video helped immensely. It was not the content, although that was interesting and valuable as a security professional, but rather your guidance on how to approach the test and tips on answer choice, reading the question, thinking from the management perspective. Again. thank you!!
I discovered this video at the very morning of my CISSP exam, managed to went through 10 question but definitely gave impact to my way of thinking. Thank you!
Questions are helpful and well presented particularly on CISSP Mindset.
Many thanks for creating such supportive and valuable content by taking your precious time! Passed on first attempt. Just want to say thank you!
Just passed a couple hours ago! I listened to this video hours before sitting for the exam and I want to thank you for all the advice. While these questions were much easier than the exam, the mindset was on point. I like your style more than any other instructor I have listened to.
I passed my CISSP today. Your explanations and thought process really helped. Thanks
i passed CISSP 1 hour ago. The mindset was big help in this video. thank you.
Thank you for this video and break down on how to analyze the test. I was able to pass Dec 27th and it was the best christmas gift to myself and a great way to end the year!
I cleared my cissp yesterday and your video helped me a lot to understand cissp mind set thnx
🎉🎉🎉🎉
I would really like to THANK YOU. I passed my exam yesterday and this video was a GREAT material to understand how to "Think like a manager", many of the questions were tricky and technical but there were always an answer that would fit on how a Manager thinks, and choosing that option (the right one) is mostly thanks to this video!
Just like others, I found this video less than 12 hours before the exam. Definitely changed the mindset and helped me key in on specific words to solve problems. Many thanks for the extra tips and confidence to pass the exam!
This was great! I'd love to see more. Thank you so much!
I'm only half way through the video and feel i already learned both from technical and methodological views. Thank you.
Found the advice most helpful on how to approach the exam questions I passed today on my first attempt.
Just passed my CISSP today. Thanks for providing this content. The mindset and walkthrough of how to approach the questions provided the foundation I needed.
Thank you for this video. I watched the day before my exam and it drastically improved my thinking and got me the Pass first attempt.
Passed yesterday 14/04/24. Video is instrumental in shaping the exam mindset. Many thanks Andrew.
I want to thank you for putting this video together. It helped me slow down, step back, and analyze the questions and answers more thoroughly. This approach made the biggest difference when I wasn't 100% sure what was being asked. I just recently sat for my exam and passed at 100 questions.
Thank you, Andrew, for this invaluable video. I provisionally passed the CISSP exam yesterday. The CISSP Mindset you discussed in the video helped me pass the exam.
Thank you for this video!! It really helped me gain confidence to go for the test, I wasn't really going well on the practice questions and your line of thought really guided me to keep focus on the concepts and how to apply them - AND MAKE EDUCATED GUESSES!
1st attempt, 125questions with 50min left - thanks for the tip over time tracking as well!
I passed CISSP provisionally today. Thank you for this great video with very helpful tips with practice questions. It was fun learning with you and feels great to have passed the exam too!
Thank you for a great video that helped get me in the mindset. I watched this video and the "Why you will pass the CISSP" the day before my exam instead of cramming to give my brain a rest. Passed this morning on first attempt.
I passed the CISSP exam yesterday and I credit this video for helping me understand what the "BEST" answer to the questions were 🎉
I have seen this video just before my exam day... in fact the previous night.. It helped me a lot to change my mindset and I am CISSP today in the first attempt. Thanks a lot for sharing this wonderful knowledge for all the aspirants like us...
thank you so much! Very well thought out questions and the explanations are very helpful.
This video was great with helping me understand the mindset you need in order to answer questions correctly. It also helped me realize in order to get the correct answer, you need to know in detail WHY the other choices are wrong. Thanks so much for this amazing video.!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like this CISSP mock its got me to motivate to do CISSP. It has great explanation
This is a Very helpful video and restores my confidence in passing this time around , thanks for posting this . I would def pay for a walk though bc everyone else focuses on the material , which I feel if you’re at that point to test that may not be as hard but most people fail bc of the mindset yet no one a=walks you through that in this manner .
Just passed today 🙏🏻 All thanks to Andrew his tips really helped during the exam
Excellent video! Just starting my journey to try to get in the right mindset for the CISSP. Question 14 really tripped me up!
I passed my exam today at question 145 and THIS IS THE VIDEO that helped me the most with the mindset and how to approach answering the questions. To be honest I didn't study that much but my ability to understand the questions combined with my technical knowledge and real world experience was super helpful. I highly recommend this
Great Content. It gives a great insight into the mindset we need to have while taking the exam. Thank you for the questions. Loved your explanation on "GOAL" and how to pay attention to words.
This is good. I like the approach to eliminate two and the option to choose one over the other or the option that one can cover the other.
This was very helpful! Much Appreciated! Test questions are far more helpful than studying static material.
this is very helpful to me coming from tech background in my preparation for the exam thanks. seems like allot folks are hung up on questions and more of the point of the video. Mindset and navigation of the Q&A.
This was wonderful and helped tremendously!!
You are amazing!! thank you so much for putting this beautiful piece of content and make it accessible to everyone, super helpful!!
This was great! I would love to see other videos like this one.
For the longest time I just memorized the difference between the Biba and the Bell Lapuda models, I did not understand why no write down was important until today.
I passed my CISSP yesterday at just 100 questions in my first attempt. RIP to my peace of mind voucher 😂Your video was instrumental and I am extremely grateful to you sir! The trick about choosing the option that encompasses all the other options was 100% on point. For example, in one of my questions i hastily chose “gray box testing”. Thank goodness i read all the options because one of them was “penetration testing” and then suddenly all the other options fit into it.
My tip to anyone reading this is to just watch this video and really know your concepts. Lastly, read the questions patiently. Dont rush. Good luck mates!
Just passed on my first attempt. I watched this video the day before the exam and truly believe it helped me to have the needed mindset when going through possible answers! The “if you choose one answer, you can’t have the other” approach to choosing between two viable answers was super helpful.
I bought another course to prepare, but if I had to do it again I would choose this one.
Great vid thank you
Today I have cleared cissp, this video helped me a lot thanks a lot…
I really love your teaching style pleasse do more videos
Thank you for the video, It definitely helped me in passing today (first attempt).
Great content, very helpful! Thanks for sharing
This video really helped me, follow this approach, you will be fine
Thanks for the great video! I'd love to see more like this please related to CISSP.
Great video. I have MS in Cyber, between this method and my experience I was able to get about 70 precent of the questions in your video. I’m considering taking the class before my first attempt.
Thank you very much for sharing your time and knowledge
Great video thank you, really brought the point home.
Exam in a couple days. Thank you for this informative video!
Great video, can't wait for your next upload!
Great video! We need some more like this if possible! 💪🙌
Thank you for this video! passed on first attempt the other day.
re: question 24, NIST lists the steps as: preparation and prevention; detection and analysis; containment, eradication, and recovery; and post-incident activity. It's difficult to contain when you don't you haven't identified what you're trying to contain. Or are you saying "Identifying the scope" is not the same as "detection and analysis"? I will never pass this test when CISSP requires you to know NIST, but also contradicts it.
2nd attempt at exam coming up on 13th. It's really not technical at all. I'm on question 8 currently and he explains things very well. Time management is very important to think about for the exam. @126 I had 40 minutes left and it probably cost me the first test because it went to 175. 4 hours seems like a lot of time until you're dissecting their insane questions that appear to point definitively to two answers lol.
+1 vote to do more CISSP videos like this, very helpful
Q # 40 answer is 4950, please explain how the calculation gave you 5050 ?
That is correct. Check the description, I added that as a correction. 👍
oh dude i spent an hour questioning myself on this
Thanks for asking the question. Immediately went into the comments when I saw the #40 options and the explanation trying to figure out how it was not 4950.
I was confused on the Q#40 too. I got 4950 and the answer was 5050. I assumed that answer wasn't the right calculation.
Thank you.. I was watching this on my television where I couldn't check comments. So I logged into the app on my phone to see what the calculation was and where I went wrong. Thank you so much I was going crazy
Thank you! This was greatly helpful!
After 175 questions, I am pleased to announce that I provisionally passed the CISSP today. May God continue to bless you and everything you do and if I can donate, help, or support your vision and generosity in any way, please let me know. I will be more than happy to help. Take care!
Thanks a lot for these wonderful questions and the advice on fixing the mindset. I passed my Cissp on my first attempt with 125 Qs. Your advice on 'you can only one right thing what will that be', helped me a lot in filtering out the options
Congratulations and celebrate well 🎉
Hey thank you for this really good video!! Very grateful. I will be appearing next month.
This helped me out big time! I just passed the exam.
Explained very well, Thank you! Just want to mention Question 40 has incorrect answer(should be 4950?)
Same!
also the question says symmetric i.e 1 key
Very well presented and good explanations, particularly conceptually around answers that explain the other answers. I was happy with all but 2 of the answers to these questions. I can't recall the second one, but the first one was for security awareness specifically,,which I understand as reinforcement of security training. If the question asked what the goal of training was, I'd probably go with the provided answer, but I'd argue that the goal of awareness is to ensure employees retain knowledge (which in turn can limit insider threats and data breaches) and have security front of mind within the organisation. Security awareness is not punitive, yet phishing training is often presented this way which may INCREASE insider threats, so the legal analogy didn't really jive with my approach to the question. That being said, I appreciate you putting the time into developing and providing this free high quality resource. The security industry and security education arena need more people like you.
I passed the CC exam last week, which contained most of the questions like these. 😮 just found out this video today. I thought CC questions would be easier but they weren’t.
