    Hi I'm wondering since cookies and trackers usually log your search history and allegedly increase prices for flight routes that you've searched for - would this not happen when you click "track flights" or "any dates" since they're linked to your Gmail account?

    Hi there, your videos are very informative. I have a question: If I am planning to do Italy in a week, including Naples & Rome what other cities would you recommend, please, when flying from Toronto? Thanks

    • @HappytoWander
      @HappytoWander  Před 3 měsíci

      Ooh tough to say without knowing your travel preferences but Tivoli is a beautiful and underrated day trip from Rome, and from Naples you could do a trip to Pompeii (cool if you’re into history) or possibly go to Sorrento/the Amalfi Coast. It’s SO beautiful there but can be very crowded depending on when you go so if you’re not into crowds I might avoid it. Hope that helps!

    Love the YVR LHR example. Just been through a few weeks of planning my trip to Canada from London. I picked BA multicity for LHR - YUL and then YVR - LHR - they weren’t only cheaper than Air Canada but their planes on these routes are much newer (less jet lag haha).

    • @HappytoWander
      @HappytoWander  Před 3 měsíci

      Ooh! Please enlighten me: how do newer planes help with jet lag?? I feel like I’ve never heard this take before and I’m VERY intrigued 🤔

    • @tomlengyel01
      @tomlengyel01 Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@HappytoWander newer planes like the Boeing 787 dreamliner, airbus a350 or the big double decker a380 are all pressurised at a lower cabin altitude (6000ft vs 8000ft on the older ones) so basically u can breathe more easily, plus the humidity is also set slightly higher on the dreamliner for example. It makes a difference to sit 9-10 hours at 1800m altitude vs 2500m altitude - also they are quieter, u can sleep more easily and arrive more refreshed ;)

    Thank you! This is great information about flying into certain airports and then taking a short flight to where you're "really" going. I book tickets months and months in advance. If I had to wait until the last minute, I'd have hives by then. 🤣😳 I may or may not have booked my tickets to London/Amsterdam 8 months in advance. I was excited though...

    • @HappytoWander
      @HappytoWander  Před 3 měsíci

      Hahah I completely get that!! I would probably be an earlier booker too if I was better at decision making. It’s always the choosing dates part that makes me delay my flights, like this one. Glad you enjoyed the video 🫶

    I dread the overnight flights to Europe so I was considering flying business class vs coach. Is it worth the expense or are you finding the seating just as uncomfortable but more expensive?

    • @HappytoWander
      @HappytoWander  Před 29 dny

      To be honest, I’ve never done a long haul business class flight! If you can afford it though, I imagine business class would be MUCH more comfortable, though this might depend on the airline. If you get a lay down seat in business then that would be infinitely more comfortable than economy. It doesn’t come cheap but if your priority is good rest, then that might be a good choice! Hope that helps.

  • @havey
    @havey Před 3 měsíci +5

    I enjoyed the video, but would add to the last segment that booking flights separately adds the risk that a delay in the first flight leads to missing the second, with neither carrier being obligated to take you to your destination.

    • @HappytoWander
      @HappytoWander  Před 3 měsíci +3

      Oh that’s a great point! The few times I’ve done this, I’ve added a day or two in the “layover city” just to make the most of my trip and avoid the stress of a tight connection. Definitely something to consider!
