My way of blending even on flat surfaces with no lines or edges is to progressively increase the distance from the element as soon as i pass the area of the repair. I stop the gun when i am outside of the reaching area. And i do that again once or twice more slightly further from repaired area than i did it the first time

My daily spray gun for base coat and clear coat, is my SATA 4000 1.3 H.V.L.P.
What if there's no body line
Can you be more specific when you say what if there’s no body line.
If there’s no body line you can still move the blend over to the other side of the hood so that the blend is not showing on the side that was recently repaired and nobody is really paying attention to the other side as much. It’s basically an illusion to trick the eyes when someone is looking at the paint job.
