ठिमुराको नेपाली भाइरल घरको कथा ||An untold story||
This house is a two-story structure adorned with traditional-style roofs, balconies, windows, and doors. Behind the house, there is a river, while in front, there are flat fields and a nearby resort.
The creator of this house is Dr. Pramod Lamichhane, the director of Alive Hospital and Trauma Center. Initially, Dr. Pramod purchased land to build a free hospital for the rehabilitation of disabled children and individuals with physical disabilities. However, upon his wife's suggestion, he decided to build a resort instead of a hospital. After his wife's passing, he fulfilled her dream by completing the resort.
Dr. Pramod's ancestral home was in Rainas, Lamjung, which was destroyed by the 2015 earthquake. To preserve the village's authenticity, he constructed a house in Bharatpur reminiscent of his village home.
The construction of the house involved the use of traditional materials, making it earthquake-resistant. Special attention was given to the windows, doors, pillars, and roof. Inside the house, various items used in the village are displayed.
After the house went viral, many tourists started visiting, leading Dr. Pramod's family to move out and stay in the hospital's quarters. Even now, there is a crowd of people visiting the house throughout the day.
Dr. Pramod's goal is to showcase the authenticity of Nepalese homes to future generations. This house has also contributed to the Bharatpur Visit Year.
