On both M47 and M57 the water thermostat and EGR thermostat get stuck open.
Check that the engine reaches normal operating temperature. If not the DPF won’t regenerate.
You gotta love the BMW’s :) you always have something to do 🤣 I have three of them, S62/M47/M57 😇

I have 535d e60 and is prety much the same, i have to e46 320d 150hp with that same engine m47, and is just easy to work, m57 or m47 are very easy to work, and you dont need to fully open that clamp to remove the egr pipe. But good job.

With a family full of BMW,s you have enough content to make at least 6 videos a day just keeping these masters of German engineering running LOL. As an unlucky owner myself i can vouch that there always seems to be something and yet we persist, and i often wonder why...

Hi Glen, Andrew here, Sorry if i missed it. Was that the one about them on ebay uk? Because the ones on there will not suit the non M cars. For the 330ci SMG we actually need the SSG shifter panel. Theres a one in europe at the mo, but its left hand drive. One for sale in Melbourne but its $440, which is too much money. The 330ci SMG is super rare, so hard to find bits for second hand. I actually got quite ill last week, and havent been able to go through the comments like i normally would, ive tried to read everyone, but replying has been put on the back burner.
