Oh, there is actually one more tool I should have mentioned and I've been using it a lot. It's called Youglish and with this you can search for words to see how they were used and pronounced in real youtube videos by native speakers, just google it, I absolutely recommend this one

My native languages are from the slavic group of languages as yours. (So listening to you is a big pleasure to me as everything sounds so clear!)
I started to learn English only at the age of 12 at school.
And now I came up with an idea to use youtube as a tool for learning language not only being a student and listener, but also a content creator 😅 And if somebody is reading it, I really can say, that it is an incredibly effective tool: when you force yourself to create in English but not only absorb, it pushes you to the next level!

Chinese English has almost only input, no output, and in Chinese it is dumb English. Like you said,we should force ourself to create in English but not only absorb.

Hi Eva, I really enjoyed your video. I think one thing english-language "lovers" have in common (and I include myself in that group) is that above and beyond anything we see it as a hobby, there's an intrinsical motivation that for some reason we share... Just like there are a lot of things I'm not interested in and many people are, such as soccer... and I see the passion they feel for it when watching games, when playing and it just doesn't ring my bell at all. And they see me learning languages and teaching and how it really makes me happy and they don't get it lol... So I agree that for people that don't particularly like learning English but they have to, try and find some motivation... even though you cut it into small "pieces of motivation" or small goals so that they can feel they're making some progress and they don't feel discouraged. Once again thank you for your video! Hopefully one day I'll also get the C1-level.

As long as you study consistently, improving four skills and learning new words, your English will improve gradually.
I've been studying English for three years. Recently, I've looked at my very first writings, and I was like, "Wow!" because they were full of grammar mistakes and wrong words, and I laughed at myself.

    • @JuanMoreno-wo5yb
      @JuanMoreno-wo5yb Před 7 měsíci +1

Each native language is going to have similar mistakes in grammar and pronunciation when speaking English so find those mistakes others make and correct them early so you don’t keep making the mistakes yourself and that can become a bad habit. I think it’s Russian speakers who do not use “the” when they should for example. If you find something like that from your native language work on it until the mistake disappears and you can be a great example for others to learn from what you have done like Eva is a great example. ❤

Actually I would like to ask how did you acquire advanced words. As we know advanced words, expressions, idioms whatever we try to learn something which are not common is completely an harsh time. I still forget lots of words that I have learned through the day.
1-did you use to go over every night what you learned and test yourself weekly?
-do you believe in acquiring words without really learning them but just by immersion or it’s much better to go over to reinforce them ?
3-did you limit your words you learned? Not to get overwhelmed
I’m currently working on becoming an English homework assistant and the TEFL that I wanna to past they acquire to have C1 level ? I’m concerned because i almost finish my English training and I’m not on C1 level at all , I would say B1 because my speaking is still low even if I expand my vocabulary.
Have you ever pass TEFL exam?
And when I googled online company they always require native English speakers so I’m on the fence and I’m fairly lost.
Could you please give me some advice?
I strongly admire you , your English sounds like an native speaker and it’s not yours so it’s impressive 😊keep it on 👏🏻

Thank you for your story. It's a surprise for me that you are non-native speaker. So I thought before I've read a title of your story. Your English is amazing! A lot of time and a lot of efforts are spent to get it!

First of all, you're very beautiful. It was not easy to stop stare at you... wish you success and stay as fabulous as you are! Secondly, I totally agree that without practicing you cannot handle with anything in this life. It is like the first job when you're worry about if you fail or mistake. But with the beggining of the process you just start to feel the real taste and then get a useful habit of improving speaking skills. Thanks!

my method is "immersion" , so i immerse myself in English, especially by listening to CZcams videos and extracting new vocabs , i also read article and posts in different sites on the web like quora , its preferable to listen and read about topic you are already interested for instances i am interested in self help topics, so i have been listen to these kind of videos and history as well after that i widen my listening with new video related to different subject , but its important to make it fun and related to your character specially at the beginning of the journey

Hi! I'm so admired you. I'm learning English and I'm in the middle between B2 and C1 level. I'm not sure if you also open an English speaking course. I would like to enroll and have you be my speaking tutor 😄

    That for this awesome video!
I am an 8th grader and I have english in school, but I improved it so much, since I‘m watching english videos and movies on netflix.
I think now I‘m good in listing and writing but I’m uncertain in speaking.
Do anyone have an idea, how I can improve it, without having someone to speak with?
