I use the Beans Pro and i think they've gotten way better with updates:
-Touch controls are hard to press on accident
-You can disable the touch controlls if you want to
-Dank didn't mention this, they can automatically disable the noise blocking mode when it detects that someone is talking (I don't think he use the Wearable app and that's why)
Wearable app makes the samsung buds a lot better. Although it doesn't help with everything.
I don't think Samsung made the wearable app for Apple devices.

The best part about buds pro is that samsung was adding them to EVERYTHING so now you can get unopened, second hand pair with warranty for dirt cheap. I've seen many for around 55-60$ and for that they seem like a crazy good deal

One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

If you want to find pants that do manage to conform to your body, then you have to deal with the concept of ball space, and the fact no designer can compensate for a guys dick when making pants. So then instead of a pendulum for a pocket, you have a vacuum sealed package for your package.

The only things I've found that have done touch controls well are jlab wireless earbuds. Mainly because they have a spot shaped like a button cut they use touch controls so you don't have to push super hard on them and you get used to were the little logo spot where the controls are. I find it better than just putting them on a smooth unlabeled surface
I've got the same buds and yeah it's defo better than a smooth surface but personally I still can't get used to the touch controls after almost a year, I keep accidentally skipping to the next video while watching YT and I hate it... can't wait for my new cabled KZs to arrive!

I bought the pros because of this video, and I adore the noise canceling. I can just barely hear the full blast of my van's AC, it's not even noticeable after you turn on the music. I listen to the music on a considerably lower volume, and my ears are doing great.
Yep, i got them gifted to me and tbh they’re the best thing i’ve ever had. I have a loud roommate and i’m in college, putting these on with some music completely drowns anything out, and my roommate is a singer.. it’s pricey but absolutely worth it.

As someone who bought the Sonys about the time this video was released, I’m super happy with them. I’ve never used the other two. However, that bigger case means I almost never have to charge them. I wanted a bit more audio fidelity than I assumed the AirPod pros would give me and I’ve NEVER had a good experience with apple’s headphones in the past.
Also, in that call example, the Sony’s absolutely had the clearest voice quality with the exception of them fading at the end. But I’m assuming the others are still decent.
Samsung Buds + touch controls for me are "okaaayye". Dropped one of those suckers in the sink and it went down the drain pipe. I thought it was a goner. Opened up the drain pipe, retrieved the lost boy, washed him, sanitized him. Still works like a charm. Have dropped them almost a 100 times (because I was not using the shark finny rubber sealies, but normal ones) on the tarmac and in the pavement. No visible scratches whatsoever. Overall impressive.
Yes noticed they are very durable. Dropped mine on concrete floor a few times. Still look and work like new. Awesome build quality.
Also, can we just appreciate that this channel went from heh, messin around with old iPods to fricken audio reviews? I love every bit of it.

I feel that the microphone quality itself sounds similar between The Buds and Pods, but I think the buds were better at getting rid of that wind noise compared to the pods
Got my pair recently and I'm in love! It looks great, fits right, goes VERY loud, crispy sound and the active noise cancellation works GREAT!

There's a "wind noise canceling" mode in the app, haven't had the chance to try it out yet. I can also say that the white version looks much better, far less obvious seams, and doesn't immediately obviously scratch. Just don't get the black ones.
Personally, I moved from standard Airpods, and the case size genuinely doesn't bother me. I think they're honestly a great buy, not to mention I got them new for less than $200 CAD.

Good to know my first semi-expensive bud purchase with the Sony Xwhatevers weren't a waste cause I pretty much just use it for tunes and I enjoy the thumpiness so HEY happy to see im not missing out too hard. Fortunately im in canada so im wearing a jacket most of the time, the Sony case isnt jarring for me, and I actually enjoy the bronze. Coworker friend of mine introduced you to me and have been absolutely loving all your content, keep being stellar my man. All your vids have made me better at my job cause i work in an electronics store lmfao

Update: Since this video released there have been a number of updates to the buds, it now has better in ear detection to reduce the number of times you might accidentally start your music when not in the ear, touch controls are still sort of meh but so is every other bud(just get a galaxy watch 4 to control your music like I did lol) the ambient during calls also received an update that makes it a lot more comfortable(I honestly can't tell the difference between with and without anymore)
I usually just use my buds when Airbrushing / painting or driving so the skullcandy sesh are a amazing budget alternative if you don't need active cancelling also , no touch controls physical buttons.
I agree actually, and I buy expensive/nice headphones and have always hated skull candy. But their wireless in ears are pretty good bang for your buck.
Plus for a bit more the indys are pretty solid too.

I have the plus version of these that they stopped making a while ago, (the sonicBs are a 1to1 knockoff) and I absolutely love them. The touch controls are even really satisfying, tap once for play, tap twice for next, tap three times for previous. If I double tap the top of my right ear the volume goes up, and left ear turns it down.
But honestly they're the nicest in ear headphones I have ever owned.

@@ConnorNolanTech I only ever had a 6th gen nano that I got in 2011 ( still have it). But I hadn't used it for probably 8 years. The 5th gen classic I specifically sought out after watching a few of these videos.
I have the Samsung buds, but they came with a case for the case. Its waterproof and has a clip for bags and things. Got some issues with the fit but otherwise I like em a lot. Took me a month to turn off the touch controls though. Surprised I lasted that long with them on.
This mirrors my experience with the Sony vs Samsung buds pro. All the reviewers online says Sony are the best but I ended up returning the, within a few days and have been much happier with the buds.
Another weird thing with the Sonys is they change the eq profile when the noise cancellation is on too. Without noise cancellation it’s a thin sound, but with it on it’s a hyped bass sound.
I do wish they had buttons though. I use double tap and triple tap to go forward and back with podcasts but it’s very inconsistent.
The Sony’s actually have a “wind noise reduction” mode in their app for noise canceling that I’ve used outdoors and it works great.
I’ve had these for so long now and didn’t even know.

I like my new galaxy buds pros , they are easy to use and stay put even when I workout. I'm 65 years old and had no trouble figuring out how to use them . And I have never had wireless buds before. I can't even feel them in my ears . And the wear app is great . Makes dialing them in to what suits you personally, very easy . The sound is crystal clear.
Update: the price of the Sony X3 vs the AirPod Pro’s is almost the same now, and the new Sony X4 are actually more than the AirPod Pro’s. I only noticed this because I bought the AirPod Pro’s for like $80 off. If you’re looking at these earphones, go with the one that matches your phone and/or button/touch control preference.
As a former intern at the Design Verification department for a company that made blood glucose monitors, I can tell you that product literature only goes through one round of checking before it goes to the prints. It gets written then immediately handed to the design verification (or quality control) department to check for grammatical errors, then we see how much heat it takes to light the paper on fire. Basically no one actually gives a shit about the instruction/warning booklets in your products. As long as the right stuff is in there to keep the company from getting sued that is!

I have never once looked at the owner's manual, other than for my motherboard and digital piano, which were both actually surprisingly helpful and useful. I don't know anyone who actually reads those manuals other than my grandfather who seems to derive more pleasure reading them than owning the actual product.

I picked up a pair of these used (i know i know but they were 60 freedombucks and very well cleaned) today and am listening to the review on them right now lol.
The noise canceling works well, theres a lot of background hum from ac and animals where im at. Gone.
Worked phenomenal at getting rid of it all. The touch controls are kinda funky, but i have em setup to only control spotify and nothing else. Helps a ton or you can shut touch off.
Main gripe is the way they sit in your ear, puts a lil stress on the back of your ear where the meat of it sits. Can get a little uncomfortable but i bet you get used to it over time as well.
I bought them because i have to make a 15hr drive in my frs and with the exhaust the drone at 4krpms is BAD. these help tons and keep the migranes at bay
Ive had a pair of these for 6 months,
1. They dont stay in your ears if youre moving around.
2. The touch controls go nuts when i push them into my ears
3. When they are in my ears, they freak out maxing out the volume or turning it off completely.
Overall they do sound great, but they are a fight to get them to stay in. Go back to the old buds+ or other alternatives

(Admittedly not by a large margin, the 1000XM4s are 300 USD but still, Japan be tariffing their own products or what)
I know this is an old video now, but the Sony XM3s have a mode specifically for wind noise removal. On the ambient sound slider in the app if you go one step away from "full ANC" it goes into wind cancelling mode, then further to the right is the various levels of ambient mode.
In the Sony XM4s this became an automated feature rather than a manual one.
Just bought these, the bass is there but not too powerful which I like, the mids are also there and better than other beans but could be amplified, highs good, fit in my ear amazing, touch controls Goodish, that amplify audio button tho is 11/10

I had 2 sets of these. Both times the left bud starting going quiet after like 4 months. I was so disappointed cause I do really love those earbuds they were so comfy and nice.
I'm glad these are being sold for 67usd now (amazon refurbished), literally the best sound/dollar/convenience I've been able to find.

Agree with everything except for the touch controls. You can fit them by holding the sides of the earbuds pretty easily. But yeah, I guess a button would be better.

Gonna be real here, ive owned JLABS earbuds, i love them. The audio, the case, the quality is really good for a $60 pair of ear buds minus the mic but thats expected for little buds
I don't know if this is a Samsung phone proprietary feature, but you can edit the touch controls and disable them at the press of a button on your phone. I think that the ecosystems from both Apple and Samsung are designed to make the quality of life a little bit messed up so that you go slowly insane over time.
Also, the Buds+ had a really nice quick start guide.

Honestly, I haven't had much of a problem with the touch controls in any of my Samsung buds; yeah, it takes a while getting used to adjusting them without touching the center, but after a certain point, it doesn't really get in the way. The airpods can get that virtual button thing in because it has a stem you can pinch. I've had earbuds with regular buttons on the side, and let me tell you, it's pretty uncomfortable skipping a song by triple clicking because I'm basically shoving the earbud into my head. Also, even if I do mispress the touch pads, Samsung has done a pretty good job at integrating in-ear detection which helps to prevent those awkward play and pauses when fumbling about
I use JLab Air GO pods. They're dirt cheap with an awesome battery life, but I really like the touch controls on them. They stick juuuuust far enough out of your ears and the case that they don't randomly get tapped that easily.

Where i am 278 AU$ is approx 208 US dollars. Heck I'd take take that. But of course it depends on the budget of one's wallet.

@@gabejoestar to be honest it still is expensive and i wouldn't buy wireless buds anyway. I budget and set aside everything for bills then save whatever i have left over as an emergency fund. So even though i can buy something like that i would rather keep a comfort zone of at least 400 per month and put it too good use.

Ive been using the XM3 for a few years and i like the concept of the touch controls but physical buttons are in fact easier to use.
i personally think that the touch controls are totally fine. there are sensors in the buds to know if they are in your ear or not. if they arent, the controls dont work. and when adjusting it i never push it straight in, because my ears arent a straight hole into my head

I just got mine in today. Bought a new Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G phone a month ago, and these came free with it as a promo but shipped to your door. But due to the COVID-19 situation in Vietnam, it was delayed. The plus side, though, is that these were manufactured on June 8, 2021. Fresh! Hopefully they last a couple of years.
BTW I totally agree with you. The touch gestures are pretty annoying when you're trying to fit them into your ear. I'll get a fitness watch and/or a new smart watch, and hopefully that solves the issue.
Would love to see Danks review of the OnePlus buds. Both the pros and the Z's. I think they are a really good alternative myself.

I would love to know what you think of the JLAB ANC buds. They are by far my favorite buds with pass-through and sound canceling. the touch controls are a tad fiddly but to me at least the sound is superb, and the case isn't wiggly, and the price is great, and the battery lasts a long time.
