Cuba and Vegas is a hard NO for me.. people wanting a 70s/80s Mafia game are just GTA simps. To me.. Mafia should be set in the early 1900s in Sicilia, or maybe at most the 50s New York.

I don't think it's gonna be Mafia 4... if there is a Mafia project being announced on that showcase, most likely it'll be a re-release of Mafia The Trilogy for 9th gen systems. Based on the information we know, Mafia 4 has only been in development for 2 years and that time is not enough for a game announcement.
@@fredster594 i mean you could be right but they finished Top Spin fast asf tbh so we shouldn’t be shocked if mafia 4 can be shown it’s not much budget game they just gonna focus on story wise, then they have 4 studios, and some new team members and new lead Nick baynes, but don’t be shocked 2k likes to rush things and they did it with mafia 2-3 I hope they don’t rush mafia 4 this time around give it time!

@@MichaelGeorge161 This is my take on everything: They started work on Mafia 4 shortly after Mafia 3's release. Haden met up with 2K & Take-Two executives about creating a new IP. Haden wanted to fully commit to a new IP instead of Mafia and that version of Mafia 4 they were working on got scrapped. After that, the team came up with a dozen of shitty ideas for games, costing the company millions and it became a shell of its former self.
Then some of og czech developers who worked on M1&2 came up to Blackman and suggested working on a Mafia 1 remake to salvage some of the issues the company had. The remake came out and was a critical success, but Blackman was still fully committed in creating a new IP, a sci-fi live service game which thankfully got cancelled but it led to millions of dollars being lost and mass layoffs in 2022. And ever since then, the company started working on the current Mafia 4.

Im the odd guy who really likes Mafia 3 (esp the DLC's) - Id be besides myself if Mafia 4 were coming set in 1970's Vegas! Im really looking forward to the prequel and hope it is wildly successful so I can get my Mafia 4 wish!
I love Mafia 3. Unfortunately I don't like where this new one is headed. And if it's true what they say I won't be getting it because I don't want to ride around on horse buggies throughout the whole game. I wish it would take place after Mafia 3 but it doesn't have to have anything to do with those characters or that storyline. I wouldn't have minded 70s Vegas at all

So I’m thinking about creating my own mafia video game, it’s going to have character customization to the max, buying properties, the economy, real estate, the world, the the real kicker is that it’s going to be a trilogy. Starting around the 1920s-1950s I wanted to get opinions before doing anything and see if it would be a product worth making and what would you guys like to see in it. Please share thoughts and please give pointers, I’d be more than willing to communicate with you on what you guys would want to see.
P.S I’m a little stumped on what the main villain could be, and could use some pointers in that. Please get back to me as soon as possible.

My honest opinion I think they should make a Mafia Online Multiplayer because it would be a good send off for the game. Treat the game like Red Dead Online but without no Ability cards or anything just keep a strictly mafia game

They really dropped the ball. They could of made a sequel to mafia 2 where joe escapes his execution and goes to a new city and starts working for a local family and then leo galante finds out and decides to bring him back to empire bay to work for him directly. Games that take place in the 1800s are boring the weapons are basically just 1 shot rifles ill pass.

That would be a lot better than what they are doing. I will be passing on this game. I can't imagine having a lot of fun riding around on horse carriages or shity ass old cars that you have to crank start and that reaches top speed at 50 mph😂. And the weapons are going to suck too

A Mafia game taking place pre 1920s isn’t ideal from a game design perspective. The series continuing chronologically into the 70s makes the most sense.
It's more unique and something never done before.

i was waiting for this game to come out so long once i buy this game i'm not playing gta anymore because gta comes no where near these games.
I always loved the mafia franchise. I can play these games more than 100 times and i won't get bored of it in my life.
I for one liked mafia 3. It had it's flaws and big ones, but it had a great story and new orleans is underrated as a setting.
I'm hyped for this, if R* don't release GTA screenshots, at least we have this to cheer us up. Take Two's projections yesterday announced they had "5 new iterations of previously released titles" for fiscal 25-27. Mafia 4 is definitely one of them and I wonder if depending on how much H13 have got done, could release it early 2025 before GTA 6, profit off the hype.

@@yousifassar4275 From a business perspective that would likely be the best for them to sell the most copies as possible. But it's hard to say whether the game would be ready since they just started working on it a few years ago apparently. Open world games take time, if it drops next year I fear that it might be pretty bare bones.
@@Streetw1s3r not really. If they get it out by spring 2025 that would give them a full 3.5 years of working on the game. Since development likely started around late 2021-early 2022. They made the Mafia 1 remake in 3 years from 2017 to 2020 too. So I think this is just enough time for them to get it finished. Especially with GTA 6 now set for fall 2025, Take Two also has a deadline set for Mafia 4 which would logically be out before GTA 6.
@@yousifassar4275 3.5 years, starting from complete scratch with Unreal Engine 5. Building the island of Sicily, writing a story, building the game, designing donkey/horse and cart physics (because let's face it, we aren't driving cars in early 20th century Sicily), new movement, gunplay, etc. I hope they can pull it off with an interactive immersive world but I doubt it's gonna be much interactive. I just hope they can implement the culture, people, even Sicilian folk music would be cool to hear in the ambient world. With Mafia DE they already had everything and just developed from what Mafia 3 had, the player movement, cover system, gunplay, car physics, etc. was all already in place, and that took them 3 years. So that's why I got some doubts about it, but I hope they surprise me and exceed my expectations.

The seventies would be great I don't even care if none of the old characters are in the game. They can start with a new storyline with new characters. That wouldn't bother me at all. Mafia 3’s graphics are literally completely fine. That’s probably the least accurate criticism you could make of the game
two combined mods and it looks just fine like mafia 1 remake.
