Love botw, but I'd rather spend my limited time playing stuff I haven't played rather than another 100 hours of something I have.
Maybe they will have the rumored 3rd installment?
I prefer to replay the same handful of games on repeat of not even finishing them, just forgetting where I'm up to then starting again
@@bradbradson4543😂
I feel Sony is pushing hard on "PSN Sign-ups" not just to boost numbers, but also because they are probably preparing to release *their own PC launcher* in the near future so that they can directly sell games to PC users while also collecting 100% revenue and bypassing Steam's 30% revenue cut.
I just wanna point out we went an entire generation with a re-released last Gen Mario Kart.
TBF it's a really good game.
At least we got a huge dlc pack for it
I never bought MK8 because I was convinced they were gonna release a new game in the series the day after I bought it.
To be fair, most of us never bought a WiiU and WANTED to play MarioKart 8
@@calebflora9304 mario kart 8 was the reason most people even bought a wiiu
You know the Zelda remake ain’t gonna be a $10 upgrade 😅
💯
Not a chance 😂
$110
It won't be a remake, a performance patch goes a long way. In which case if it's $10 why not, though free is even more aggressive promotion. New players would buy the game regardless. Same thing should happen with TOTK.
That'll be $69 dollars sir!
I'm still salty they never re released Xeno Blade X
Saving it for Switch 2 baby
Switch couldn't run it because of wii u gamepad. Wonder if it's playable on Steam Deck with or without gamepad?

@@Foun_D_OnePiece the switch is stronger than the Wii U, incase you weren’t aware
@@Foun_D_OnePieceyeah people that say stupidness like this don’t realize it’s on the developer to not be cheap and optimize it properly but yes carry on the switch can’t handle it 😂
Hope we see the next Doom Game come without Denuvo, sick and tired of games forcing that on us and Eternal took years to remove it entirely.
I hope it runs on Vulkan and not DX12 due to Microsoft owning them.
Gonna be honest, there are far better options to give remasters to than Breath of the Wild. The original game still holds up fine today. Now if they released a performance patch for the game on the next Nintendo console, that would be one thing. But rereleasing the entire game feels completely unnecessary. I am not buying a remaster of BOTW.
Damn right I’m waiting for twilight princess
I guess it’s the same as the last of us part 1 remaster. Nice for die hard fans and newcomers but an easy skip for everyone else. ultimately, I don’t think it’s a bad thing for them to do. it’s one of their flagship games and it had notorious performance drops in some areas.
I’m curious to see the result and see if it’s dramatic or minor.
Xenoblade chronicles 2 comes to mind, but that game will be 10 times better on the new system if actually back compatible. Due to the dynamic resolution. It should just be max resolution all the time.
I wasn't really a fan of it back on the wii u, I'd rather see something like astral chain or maybe xenoblade X.
Meh, I already have BOTW and beat multiple times, so I am not going to buy it again. What I am looking for is a brand new title, that's for sure. By the way, I have seen BOTW being listed in Famitsu sales a week ago or something, so is there even a point to re-release it?
The irony of Microsoft prioritizing trust for a mobile store nobody will use is just hilarious.
it they merge it succesfully with the microsoft rewards program and gamepass, i think it will go quite well
That's what I said. I don't know wtf they're thinking lol!!
Remastering Twilight Princess for Switch 2 makes way more sense than Breath of the Wild come on lol I’m still trying to finish Tears of the Kingdom! Actually doing a full blown graphical remake of Ocarina of Time would sell like crazy.
I gave up beating that game. Never gonna touch that or breath of the wild ever again.
@@thezx5795sad for you. Especially with twilight.
Or how about, a new zelda game that plays like the OG's.

So Square is no longer going to make their big titles exclusive to Sony. They’ve finally accepted that doing that was killing their company because Sony fans don’t buy games lmao
So, part of the reason with the reviews for Hi-Fi rush, is beacuse the game was in the monthly humble choice bundle on tuesday.
7:44 free upgrade from Nintendo? Free? (Insert GIF of J. Jonah Jameson laughing from Spider-man 2)
Regarding Breath of the Wild on Switch 2: I wouldn't accept having to have to re-buy the game just to get 4k60, enhanced textures, etc. I would however be willing to pay $10-$20 for that kind of patch (gotta cover the costs after all.) If Nintendo wanted to sell a remastered copy in retail for those who maybe didn't already own the original BoTW, that's fine, go for it. I would also be OK with just a "free" patch that unlocked the framerate and maybe allowed for 4k resolution (1080p min would be a must) but without enhanced textures, updated cutscenes, etc.
Haha be ready to pay 70 bucks dude for a remaster lol
@@jameswalterthethirdYou’re not wrong, but I’m not paying for that
If they are gonna remaster it, it needs metroid prime treatment. Textures looks really bad.
Dont give nintendo ur money again just emulate it on pc and voila 4k60fps for free
Played it on my PC at 4K60, thanks Nintendo
I couldn't be bothered to finish TotK, I'm definitely not going back to that world a third time.
I would go for a remastered OoT (and maybe MM) though. For a new Zelda, I’m hoping for a reboot of some sort so they can shed the baggage of their messy timeline nonsense.
Honestly I don't know what they could do to breath of the wild in a remastered that we already couldn't do with emulation.
Not just emulation but we can also increase draw distance and modify the fog settings as well as lighting and make the game look insane
In 2017 the switch was unique and everything that I've ever wanted to play on the go. But after 7-8 years with the amount of amazing competitors in the same space, if Nintendo decide to use the same route (selling full price older games) I dont think I'll even consider buying a switch 2.
I bought those games because I didn't have other mobile options, but now the scenario is different.
It’s code name is probably Oz, which could be interpreted as ounce, but I lean more toward the whole “The Wizard of Oz”
Microsoft knows me so well, I gotta give it to them. Whenever they shut down a good studio and bury an IP, the only thing that can cheer me up is more mobile stuff.
EDIT: and a new controller...
If switch 2 comes out and their system seller is breath of the wild with a stable framerate i will laugh very hard
it's probably gonna be a 3D mario, considering that the last one was in 2017.
Amen. Hopefully that's just one arrow in their quiver lol
Its probably Breath of the Wild as the reports from August 2023 already said, but Tears of the Kingdom is the game that really needs a second run on the Switch 2 with updated visuals. It boggles the mind how a game with that scale and level of complexity, which puts 99.9% of all other games on any other console to shame, was able to run on the Switch of all places.
No DLC kept it from GOTY.
I prefer if they packed the games together. Like an upgrade to a collection of games, with DLCs and maybe more content for both games.
That would be so cool. But then Nintendo would price it like ~120$, and they don't like to do that.
So probably they will sell the upgraded versions separately, each one costing 80$.
I'll pass on Stick Collector '17 and '23.
@@DavidJCO
Lol we are 15 years off from games costing $80, and by the time that arrives the average salary has risen up so it won't even matter.
@@MatthewdangeRWell ain't that a nice future you get to imagine. I severely doubt that the latter will be the case.
Gamers have to stop with this console war thing, our enemy isn't someone playing on a different system but the companies and publishers in the gaming space.
As someone who's been gaming since the Atari 2600, I can tell you that no one participating in the console war ever saw the other side as their enemy. It's about trolling, and it's not really serious. It's like sports fans. Do I troll fans of other teams? Heck yeah. But it's all in good fun. I don't wish anything bad for fans of other teams. The people who want the console war to go away just want to erase fun. Gaming lost a lot of what made it fun when E3 died and the press conferences went away. Microsoft vs Sony vs Nintendo at E3 was so much fun. I feel bad for gamers who didn't live through those years. They really missed out.
@@G360LIVE Have you even to PlayStation Reddit or other related forum in the last few weeks? Helldivers, Xbox, you name it, people were full of glee and spite. I've been around gaming since the late 80s and I know what you are talking about, but what is happening currently isn't what happened back then. It was about "my team is cooler" not about "you suck because your team sucks"
This sounds like the plot for Xenoblade 3 ngl.

I'm calling it: They'll make a BotW/TotK bundle with upgraded visuals for 70$. For the rest of us there might be a way to upgrade both BotW and TotK for 15$ each.

What you said about people needing to review the game BEFORE a studio gets shut down is so true. So many people don't even think to positively review things and support the good devs in the industry
I don't believe for 1 second the executives at Microsoft gave a single ounce of consideration to online reviews before shuttering studios.
@@jamesrogers612very true. I'm just relatively new to pc gaming and the other day my friends laughed when I positively reviewed a game. They said they never reviewed games, and it was kinda wild to me to hear that ngl
What you and most people fail to realize is that gaming executives give zero shits about reviews or positive reception. It’s all about profits and numbers, everything else including you and every other gamer is dead to them
"You've played this game for 213 hours, would you recommend it to others"
That's what it says on vanilla skyrim when I click on it.
Most of my games are older so I always think it's kind of pointless to leave a review now.
I had a Windows Phone from the beginning (before front-facing cameras were even standardized), and really wanted it to succeed. The gaming side was a big part of that, as I loved having various genres of mobile games include achievements or cross-platform benefits like Fable Coin Golf awarding items in Fable 3. I hope the next iteration of an Xbox mobile store also includes some of these fun tie-ins.
It is illogical that sales are completely halted so no one can even buy it with just the single player gameplay in mind. At least offer it without the multiplayer included in those regions. Not selling the single player at all with a game where that is the focus is illogical. It is also illogical that they have not restored access to buying Helldivers 2 in those countries now that it doesn't require PSN. What they are doing is putting "monthly active users", a metric that does not inherently make them money, over sales, a metric that makes them money. It is illogical for a business to do that.
At the end of the day, video games are a business. It's kind of silly that people (including all my favorite CZcamsrs) act like its the end of XBox because their favorite developer got axed. Feeling betrayed by a company that NEVER liked you is funny. None of these companies LIKE you, they only want your money.
As a community we can be more proactive to support games and studios before they get shut down. I’m guilty of not leaving positive reviews for games I love, but if I dislike something I’m quick let them know. I will definitely be working on this.
For sure, Im trying to review more games on GOG because theres few in general or theres few that describe the game experience well if at all. Backlog is big so it takes time to get through them all.
Well the issue is with Xbox specifically people love review bombing all their stuff no matter how good it is. Hifi rush being the perfect example. People acted as if they hated it because at launch it was Xbox and pc only. Now they act as if they like it to try making Xbox look bad for closing the studio. It's like they will only be happy if Xbox completely goes away which is insane to me. Imagine Sony not having to worry about being good to their consumers anymore knowing they have no real alternatives.
thats true and well meant but i think in the case of xbox the decision was clearly political; positive comments wouldn't have any difference.
@@jimmycarpenter6612They must not have understood that Hi-Fi Rush is a new IP for XBOX. Microsoft itself doesn't understand that, because they made it a timed exclusive for Series and released it cross-platform with Windows. Again.
@@jimmycarpenter6612Xbox only have their approach to gaming to blame for. Acquiring studios and then not having enough games. There has been hardly any game with intuitive gameplay or new features being introduced to blow the community away. Instead there whole focus is on gamepass which is kind of a stupid move tbh. First you need to have games that people find interesting. Then on top of that they are getting on bad side of the community again by making games exclusives but then saying something else. That's not how you develop brane loyalty. It doesn't inspire confidence in any way.
I get that Breath Of The Wild would be a great way to compare the power of the Switch and it's successor. But idk, something about a remaster of it being on the next console doesn't sit right with me. Maybe if one if this is even true in the first place, and how they go about it then maybe I'll see why.
$500 for a Ps5 ,$500 Series X ,$400 Switch 2 ,500-$600 Ps Pro not to mention taxes, I'm done with consoles. Might as well get a $1500-$2000 gaming PC that everything goes to anyway and be good for a while.
funny that years ago gamers were betting Nintendo would go multiplat - now Sony and Microsoft are doing things closer to that than nintentdo ever has
Y'all have lost your collective minds if you want to pay for BotW again!
Not being able to buy the game in Puerto Rico is wild! I didn’t understand how encompassing that restriction list was until I saw it on there.
Consider yourself lucky to avoid Soyny.
Honestly, remastering a first party Switch game is a bit drastic. Obviously, performance patches are one thing, but unless it's Pokemon, these games really don't need a lot of work done on them.
I'm just curious, what happened to the old Spawn Wave outro music? 🤔
Those hifi rush reviews are from people that haven't played the game same the people that review bomb games.

Or another Warriors game.
we have got to get John some new adjectives for these video titles.
Gears of Doom would be a great game :)
I wouldnt expect Nintendo to offer any upgrade for BOTW for free. They had no problem charging 60 euro for 3 mario games without any significant upgrades afterall.
Don't forget though, all three of those games weren't available to play on the switch, that's why they could sell them for that price. BOTW will be different, everybody owns it already. My guess is Nintendo will charge a fee between $10-$20 for the upgrade and release a full priced remastered version for the few that haven't bought it yet
I was one of the people that didn't even know Ghost had a multiplayer until Sucker Punch made that announcement lol
I wouldn't mind a remastered BotW at all, I just don't see myself paying $60 for it. By the time this hypothetical remaster releases, the game would be nearly a decade old. Assuming it comes with all the DLC, maybe a handful of QOL tweaks, and of course running at a consistent 60, I'd pick it up on sale. If you haven't seen any of those videos of modded BotW running at 60, do yourself a favor and look it up. It's absolutely delicious and I always wanted that, so I am interested in a remaster - but I think $40 is my limit without substantial new content.
Of course, if there was new content, I'd be a lot more interested and possibly willing to pay close to full price. But what kind of content would that be? More shrines, equipment, quests, enemies, bosses? Maybe a new area to explore? A couple of dungeons? That would be the most exciting thing they could do for a re-release imo.
Ghost Of Tsushima should have seperated the multiplayer from the single player, but honestly theyre just doing what many have done. We need to push back the other companies games (that require it for single player games with multiplayer aspects) with the same fire that we did for sony. If we don't sony will just force it in the end because everyone else has required some sort of second account.
You need a Microsoft account to play sea of thieves on Ps5 😅
Even on mobile the mario games require it, On PC its been a mess of additional accounts, Ive given negative reviews to all of the ones I own that force it because its just tiring. They need to make the login optional if we want to connect to our xbox or PS or whatever console account. Forcing it for single player has been done for years so if we dont push them all sony wont budge and keep imitating everyone else.
The de listing of Ghost of Tsushima was Valve's decision.
I don't understand why they wouldn't lift restrictions in regions that can't have PSN accounts at very least.
@@jamesrogers612 My question is why the restrictions are there at all, no ones asking why theyre there and that I feel is important. Xbox services are also not available in some places so why are these companies not offering the services for those places? Surely it cant be a simple "we dont wanna", surely there's more to it for xbox/sony etc.
Remaster a 8 year old game that still looks and plays fine? Sounds like a cash grab.
Let’s be honest, if there’s any games that actually deserve the remaster treatment, it’s switch games. Great games with good graphics, just low resolutions/framerates/ or both
The Last Breath of the Wild Part II Remastered
Nintendo does it and everyone is ok with it, meanwhile Sony doesn’t it and everyone looses their minds.
Nintendo will sell a gold plated turd and there’s millions that will still purchase it.
Sounds like Sony
What most people don't realize is that Nintendo will do things like this to help teach the devs what they can do differently with their existing designing and its a more controlled way to practice with new hardware. They have always done this with games, they multitask in what they choose to go forward with and how.
It could be that people didn’t start playing HiFi Rush until the sudden news about Tango’s closure. It’s a different medium but when Kentaro Miura passed away his manga series, Berserk was selling out on Amazon and reached a new sales milestone. Microsoft just shadow dropped a new I.P. without any marketing build up which obviously didn’t help HiFi Rush.
Isn't the Switch 2 supposed to be backwards compatible? So you could play BOTW and TOTK on the Switch 2? Sure it won't be Switch 2 graphics, but I think those games are fine the way they are. How about an Ocarina Of Time/Majora's Mask/Windwaker/Twilight Princess remaster, kind of like the Mario 3D All Stars game? I would instantly buy that.
If there substantial upgrade, a 10$ upgrade is acceptable but not wanted for BOTW, a new full price release only, not so much.
If you already own the game and pop the cartridge into the system it should allow a free download of it if that would be the case. If you have to pay for it even if you already bought the game physically, thats kinda scummy.
But yeah, you wouldn’t better know that if Sony did it so spamming the hypocrisy at Nintendo.

I spent 110 hours playing BotW back in 2018, exploring the world and completing the main quest, but I never bothered to complete more shrines after getting the Master Sword, solely because of the load times. $5.99 I'm guessing per title 😅
I buy remastered Nintendo games only if I never played it before
It’s through a web browser to circumvent Apple/google’s cut
ID software been working with Team Beef to officially release/bring their games to the meta quest store as well. That’ll be freaking awesome! 1:48
We already had a Lego Horizon Collaboration.
It's called Longneck Set.
If there is ever a 10$ upgrade for BOTW remaster, that's the only way most people will buy it
Buying a new console and investing in a new library every generation is getting old, The console model is obsolete, I'd rather invest in a steam library and take it everywhere with me forever.
Not everyone would rather do that, some people are content with buying new system with games
But if that's how you personally feel overall lol
I think the Switch 2 codename oz is more likely to refer to Oz like "Wizard of Oz" than oz. L
like "ounce".
Although it could be a play on words like "Oz in an ounce" or "an ounce of Oz"
People are also venting their frustration at Phil Spencer in Fallout 76. His camp has been repeatedly nuked.
Just noticed that Jon lost the password for Spawn Wave Plus, RIP.
I totally forgot that channel was a thing but now that you mention it, it's been awhile
I ended up noticing that a couple months ago when I went to catch up, I'm assuming it ended up being a lot of work for him and led things to be a little bloated with so many uploads
If Nintendo starts selling upgrades for the Switch Games, I'm OUT. Will wait for custom firmware to come and then enjoy it from the community.
A $10 upgrade for BOTW on Switch 2 would be fine with me, but if it’s full priced with no “upgrade path” I’ll be annoyed. Nintendo does unfortunately sometimes adopt the less popular business decisions of their competitors, like when they adopted a paid online service with the Switch after being one of the only companies to not charge for that in the Wii/DS and Wii U/3DS eras.
A wise man once said ‘There’s nothing more visceral than American corporate greed. Literally nothing’.
Corporate greed is beyond nationality
Its Nintendo they are going to resell games that already sold millions of copies on the next system for more money with minimal upgrades because they are anti consumer
All corporations are anti consumer
@@mikeuk666Hence why I have been invested in these major tech and gaming corps for over 10-12+ years.
Gamers are all bark and no bite. They get faux outraged, but still give their hard earned to these so called “anti consumer” corporations. 😂🤣
Here we go again with the faux outrage..
Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze sold 4.5 million copies on the Switch.
People still willing to buy older games. You do have SOME sort of business acumen, right? Nintendo doing what’s best business wise and you call them “anti consumer”? 🤣
@cbgg1585 cool fake stories there kid 😂😂😂
Has Nintendo ever released a system without Mario of some kind?
I don’t remember the Switch “launching” with a Mario game. I thought Odyssey came after launch.
Odyssey was a bit after launch and gamecube depending on how u count Luigi mansion
Idk why they would? That's their mascot. He's on every system
I would kinda count it. It’s still one of the “Mario Bros” 😂
As launch title? 3DS and Wii (I'm pretty sure Switch too)
Honestly I would love if they rolled game upgrades into NSO instead of individual purchase.
online games like mk8dx should have the upgrades for free with the standard nso subscription
10:19 this is why piracy may not be for everyone but it always nice to have it as an option, specially with these big companies that just don't care for their customers
It would be cool if Nintendo offered an option to buy a next gen upgrade for some of their old games like with PS5. And then the full price version being physical only. Wouldn't be surprised if it just was full price though.
Game Upgrades for new Hardware SHOULD be a Free upgrade, however reasonably I would ok with a $10 upcharge. But once I finish a game I have a hard time going back ro play it even with enhancements. I purchased DBZ Kakarot full price on ps5 and I barely put any time in on that version.
I’m sorry but unlike those dumb people who said they would buy a new BOTW remastered I wouldn’t. I don’t buy a new system for games I already have.
you can pin a website as an app icon but yeah most people don't know about that but i guess MS could show a propmt to get people to do that
