I suggest you to use Baidu Maps in the future when you need mapping. It is in Chinese but it is easy enough to understand (like car icon = drive; person walking = walking; bus = bus; etc.,) you could screenshot and use google translate too😅
Beautiful city view from your hotel room. Shangri-la Hotels in Asia are all very good. I think I have to be careful eating street foods in China. It's good to have someone local to recommend a good eating places though. 👌😋 Watching you eat makes me hungry too! 😅At least, you can speak Mandarin. It's sad that it was raining when you're at Shanghai Disneyland and the parade was cancelled. ☔🌧️ Thank you for sharing your trip, Dan. I'll plan to visit China soon. 👌🤩🫠💕

As an American it was a hoot seeing them singing the Mickey Mouse song. All my kids knew the words. What a great trip, everything was so clean. The hotel was beautiful and would have been beyond the average Americans pocketbooks. I will be trying Gordon Ramseys this weekend in Tahoe, I’ll see how it compares. This was a thrill for an armchair traveler.
Glad you had fun in Shanghai! Great Hotel and the view is gorgeous! The Swimming Pool is right to my taste, especially because it`s so quiet. 👍💙

Hi Dan, wow crazy wonderful the view from the hotel room wow with those floor to ceiling windows and that tub, with the glass, I can see myself there in the evening relaxing sipping a good glass of champagne with that breathtaking view, and the pool all to yourself, how cool ( che figata) as we say in Italy, wow..ciao Dan.

Oh you havent seen it in the Summer. I only managed to went on 4 rides the entire day despite only stopping for lunch
@@6Euphoria6 Wow, Summer-time sounds scary 😅 I would most definitely opt for an "off-peak season." I prefer to avoid crowds and the hustle and bustle of popular tourist destinations. I'd much rather enjoy a relaxed vacation experience with fewer people vying for access to must-see attractions. It's all about soaking in the atmosphere without feeling overwhelmed!

Danny, the lights at night were still pretty even if it was cloudy. Sorry those dumplings weren't good. That was a massive steak. It looked so yummy! Disney sure did look empty. Hello Dan, great vlog. That was a nice hotel and nice view of the city. I love Dim Sum 🥟 especially the soup dumpling. I was in China 5 months ago for the first time it definitely was an experience but I loved it and the food. I hope to visit again soon and see more of China. It does look beautiful at night when all the buildings are lit up 🏙️. Thanks again for sharing. And that was a big piece of steak 🥩 glad you enjoyed it. Take care.

Really interesting video. Shanghai was a lot more European in appearance than I would have guessed it to be. The hotel and food loked absollutely amazing!. I found your commment about being "almost" fluent in English amusing. Your english skills are far superior to many native English speakers. Too bad the weather didn't cooperate better but somehow you still managed to enjoy yourself and bring as anintersting video. Looking forward to your next adventure.

Hmm never been to Shanghai but it looks really fun from this video. There are some really awesome cities in southern china such as guangzhou and foshan. I really recommend going there next time!!

Zaijian can be used for "see you again". In Shanghai definitely recommended to use the metro. Taxis too slow and expensive.

Traveling solo can be fun, but I recently traveled by myself and found myself feeling a little scared and vulnerable. Never felt that before, but I think my age has a lot to do with that feeling! 71 years old and need traveling companions to make me feel safer!😊
since my paris trip, i realized traveling with a company is fun as well! I think it’s nice to have a company but also have some me time in between.

Food was amazing looking delicious But I don't know what items are added to the food, they are colorful and very good to see. Swimming pool looking wow really nice place no one there Can swim so well 😊 It's summer here for so I go swimming in my city at 6:30 in the morning or night 7pm special batch for ladies it's comfortable .
mandrin language is very difficult to learn also very difficult to understand.Apps from other countries don't work in China, even Google doesn't work. You have to use their apps only, Google translate works. Chinese people don't speak English they didn't understand. some youth speak there. Going to the street you went to with your mom last time this time also you gone it's memorable. American chophouse concept dining really nice hotel specially the bunny looking cute 😊 may be you enjoy food and the trip. Shangai Disney land looking good but bad weather it's ok Atleast you enjoy like a child 😊wonderland.....😊The cups. 😊 Bath and wine 🫣🤗 haha ....enjoy 😊 Thank for your video and tips 🫶

Just visit Disneyland again. I'm sure you will have good weather on your next visit. I wish you, Dan. When you have good weather, your shoulder doesn't hurt, you feel generally good, you can see the parade and the fireworks and you will smile.✨️ Plus the view from the hotel will be even better.
I've only been to Legoland so far. The roller coasters are "wohoo" great there. And! When the weather is good, there are games with huge water guns and afterwards you can stand in a cabin with a drying function. That makes fun.😃

The hotel had such beautiful views, I don't think I ever would have left the room. I'm a little upset with myself. I took my computer in because of problems with it. When I purchased the computer, the woman who sold me the computer said it's nearly impossible to mess things up. I said, You don't know me very well. Even if there was a 0.0001% chance, I will find it. When I got my computer back, a few subscriptions disappeared that I didn't noticed. I came up on a short and made a comment as to why you stopped Vlogging. That's when I found out I was no longer subscribed, but I'm back and need to spend some time catching up on my "Thiz is Dan" I really did miss you. 💞😉💞

The only hotel style hotel in Beijing was The Sheraton - that cost nearly my whole trips budget for one night. I would stay every month or so as a sanity break. Otherwise I sublet my "hotel" riom, at a place that Chines locals used.
Well til they found out anyway.
Virtually no cars, i had to hure a bike.
Very little english, learn mandarin or go home.
If local Chinese didn't like you - you got Mao no service no nothing.
Australians were o.k if you were respectful.
but Americans found travel dufficult ++.
Totally loved my 7 months there- had my own bike, as it was almost a bloodsport getting onto the buses.
I think it has changed a lot since then! every time I visit, it feels different for sure! Beijing and shanghai also has very different vibes. I liked Shanghai more!
I'm actually upset we didn't get to see how the sunset looks from the hotel room's window but oh well, at least you had delicious food 🥰 (the "미쳤어 뭐야?" made me giggle ngl)
