- The Liionidas eXtreme Open Baffle is a two-way open baffle and crossover designed by Leon Huijgen, using our Silver-10 full range unit and W-15 woofer designed for compensating bass for full range speakers on the OB.

Does the Liionidas eXtreme use the same crossover as the Crystal-6/W-15 OB?
Yes, all uses the same Liionidas crossover designed for W-15. But we never tried to combine W-15 and Crystal-6, firstly Crystal-6 has metal cone which is of different note than paper cone series; secondly Crystal-6 has very good bass performance alone; thirdly the imaging of 6 inch and 15 inch seems to divided, we would recommend pairing W-15 with at least 8 inch full range units.

Weird question but how would the extension/response be on the low end if these were placed outside in a free air environment?

Why such weak music? No bass, no nothing. Im think of getting these but I need to hear them with my gear in my room which is a large space.
You’re expecting too much. These come from China, and sold directly from the internet. I don’t believe they do in home demo’s, which is in line with the majority of the audio industry.
There is.hardly any baffle for.the.woofer. And I.doubt there is any compensation or equalization to.bring up the.bass to compensate for the open baffle bass loss.
