Love using the Air SM, I also enjoy using the GTS, but that one became so fast after a few days it became close to uncontrollable, but after tension and lube its hit the sweet spot and get decent times on it, both are very smooth and love all the magnetic versions.

This is a really great video
I actually used a thicker lube and overlubed my GTS2 M on purpose. It gives the cube a soft, smooth feel, and slows it down to a controllable speed. If you want the cube faster, I recommend putting in some DNM after breaking in the lube. I've been using this cube for months and absolutely love it

I love my Gan air sm, because as you said, it is extremely customizable. I run it with green springs, traxxas 50k on core, Traxxas 30 k on pieces, and some dnm37 as well. It's super smooth, fast, but still controllable.
So close to 100K! I can feel a giveaway coming!

I have the SM and it is very good.. I lubed it with lubicle silk and it has a very buttery smooth feeling.. I also have the non magnetic valk which was a great 3x3

I stop cubing because of GAN and I started collecting GAN cubes from since the very first GAN my favorite is the ANGSTROM GAN 356 AIR SM and the 356 X because of it swapping and changing magnetic strength to my wish is easy and magnets can be swapped in under a minute

I have the air sm, power m, and gts2m. My current favorite is the air rn. I switched back and forth between the 2, but i can say the air sm is my current favorite. Don't let that discourage you from buying any of the other 2!

I own 4 of 5 of those. And some other previous flagships. Honestly, my personal favourite is the regular Valk M. It's just a wonderful cube.
Do it! That's exactly what I did. The magnets were so cheap on eBay, a little glue, and some patience and time, and there's quite a saving to be made.
I really think that flagships cubes right now have same performance. It depends on the feel, from scratchy (like the Valk) to buttery and smooth (like the Power and SM). The prices are different, but I really think that with whatever flagship cube you use, you can still get similar times. To me, I prefer smoother and faster cubes (like the HuangLong).
Here are my opinions on the flagships cubes:
Valk3 M: The ValkM has a scratchy, crunchy feel but it can be faster or slower depending on the tension. I like this cube, because the turning is smooth (though the feel is crunchy and harsh) and it doesn''t lock up too much, and it's very fluid overall. Another thing I like on this cube is that it doesn't need magnets, because it's already quite stable and controllable. And by that, I recommend going to pick the regular Valk for 20$.
Valk3 Power M: The Power M (compared to the Valk) has a smoother feel (thanks to the primary internals) and is more stable. But since it is smoother and heavier, it is considerably slower, maybe because of the magnets that are too strong on mine. I prefer the regular Valk overall, also because the Power M is 39$, and the regular Valk is 20$.
GT2M: I don't have it, but the closest cube I have is a MF3RS2 (standard). I heard that the MF3RS2 is slower compared to the GTS2, so the GTS2M might be a pretty fast cube. The MF3RS2 doesn't lock up very much and it has a very smooth feel and a snappy sound as well. I kind of like it. I have to buy a GTS2M tho.
Gan Air SM: I don't have this either. Again, the closest cube I have is a Gan Air (Advanced and non-magnetic). This cube has a buttery feel, but it does lock up. I've heard that the SM doesn't lock up as much as the Air. Generally, the Air is fast, and the stability can be changed by the GES nuts that you use. I personally use the yellow nuts. I don't really like this cube because it does catch on the reverse corner-cutting, but the SM is 50$, and, like I said before, I think that you are gonna be fine with a GTS2 or a Valk for 20$ and still get similar times. And in my opinion, the SM is not really worth the money.
HuangLong M: I just ordered the non-magnetic version of this cube (just because the HuangLong is already pretty stable for a non-magnetic cube, and I don't want to blight its smooth and soft feel, which I love), for some reasons: the first reason is that is the cheapest flagship, and because has similar performance to the Little Magic M (that I own and currently using as my main), but it is considerably faster and softer, which I really like. I think the HuangLong will be my main over the other cubes, just because I know that I'm gonna like the cube a lot. And I think choosing a main also depends on which brand is your favourite: I'm gonna use the HuangLong because of that reason as well.
My recommendations:
1) HuangLong M 25$;
2) GTS2M 26$;
3) Valk 20$.

my favourite if valk power because it slow and stable and helps in f2l look ahead and in olls and plls also becoz lockups and catches are very minimal.

I'm recently using the GAN 356 X, with strong magnets and the green nuts set on 0.6.
I also have the GTS3LM, but I personally think it's a bit too fast, and when you tighten it then it cannot cornercut anymore. So it is a little hard to setup.
The Valk 3 Power M is also a good option, but mine pops often so I don't use it as much as the GAN or the GTS.
But the only issue with my GAN X is that if your drop it even one time, a corner will fall of during solves. I dropped it, and bought a new one. (I still got my money back) Then that one ALSO fell, but I was a bit ashamed to ask for another one, so bought a totally new one, which is still my main.
So my message is, DONT DROP YOUR CUBES!

Regular valk power is very smooth cube if it's lubed and tensioned, can cut almost line to line
i have the moyu weilong gts2 m (3x3 puzzle magic cube) and it's perfect for me!
i have tried every one of those cubes but the gts 2 fits my style and it's the only one i bought for my self

I have a quick question. *WHY IS MY GTS2 POPPING???* I've had it for a year and I've never changed the tension because I liked the stock ones, so what happened?
I like the valk 3 just right for my turning style
I personally prefer the GTS2M which is my main. I actually like the feeling of the Gan 356 Air Master but I get slightly faster times on the GTS2M and it feels more stable.
I own the supernova valk m and its great! My only issue was the lube made it a little slow
I have a GTS2M. Just ordered the sm, getting it in 2 weeks!
Let it be said the SM is a big jump in feel from the GTS2M, be prepared to do a bunch of solves to get used to the cube. I did that and it was really annoying because I could never get my normal times on the cube, but after a bit I eventually got back down to what I normally average.
I have everyone of them the gan air sm an the gts2 m are my favorites but i like the Gan air sm more

Yeah, me too. When I got it, at first I really liked it. But after a few weeks it becames slower, and it's not a lube thing, it's the cube. I think the problem is the magnets strenght: I think they are too strong on mine, and that makes the cube slow, but very controllable. I prefer the original Valk 3 tho.

I’ve tried all of them. Here are my reviews:
Valk: Magnets used were very strong, creating an extemely stable and lock resistant 3x3. Unsure about lube used.
Valk power: Very stable, magnets used are on the weaker side, making it better for OH. Only downside is speed, if just a little faster, would be contender for my main.
Huanglong: Weak magnets with angstrom lube setup. Gravitas on tracks and dignitas on pieces created a smooth, controllably, but very fast cube. People who like fast cubes would love this setup (make sure you don’t use much gravitas.)
GTS2: Fast in general, good feeling 3x3 and I find 3 drops of silk and 2 drops of Lubicle One creates a fast, and interesting but nice feeling 3x3.
Air SM: My current main, one of 2 lubing methods is wonderful with green nuts. Method 1 is angstrom setup, method 2 is silk all over the edge which is just the tracks, the honeycomb, and the last side. (corner is good too, but i recommend just the edge). Creates a smooth, controllable, and fast feeling. Also, experiment with the GES nuts, because there’s one for everyone. I find myself using green.

I really think that flagships cubes right now have same performance. It depends on the feel you like, from scratchy to buttery.

The only one i dont have is the huanglong....but in personal peference...i think the gts2m with some thick lube is the best...still fast but has a great smooth feel
