This is our in depth review of the YJ MGC, YJ's first magnetic 3x3. Coming in at just $14.99, the MGC boasts an impressive price to performance ratio. Our testers noted that the cube had a sturdy, stable feel with moderate turning speed. Blockiness and catching were slight concerns. Despite us favoring pricier flagships in head-to-head comparison, we are optimistic that the MGC is a great choice for those on a budget.

IMPORTANT TIP
The quality control on the cube I got wasn't very good. As a result, one of my edges had the wrong polarity of magnets. This cause the cube to be very subpar, but once I took those magnets out and replaced them, it is my main over the SM.

LEGEND CUBER well if you don't agree that's fine, it's all down to personal preference. Personally I prefer the cosmic MF3RS2M to all flagship cubes

Takeshi Yanagita mine had the polarity wrong too how did you get them out?
It helps to throw the piece in the freezer. it makes the glue more brittle. But in the end it just comes down to hacking away at the glue to dislodge the piece. Good luck!
As soon as I received my MGC it instantly became my main Then I put lube in and it completely destroyed my Air Sm which is crazy since I love the Sm so much. I set my MGC up with the other springs, lubicle black, dignitas, and gravitas. It feels great and I would say fits my turning style perfectly.

power feels soft, mgc feels smoother, power is very tricky to set up

I wanted to love the MGC soooo much but honestly pretty much every non-magnetic flagship released over the last 3 years is better IMO.
YJ can easily turn this around by modifying the corner base and track design to have less contact between pieces, but as of right now the cube is very niche and I can only see a limited amount of people using it.
There’s an mgc elite which I head is pretty good but it does have lockups

O P Pandiya i haven’t tried the HuaLong so I’m going with Little Magic
the hualong is supporsed to be the new best cube. also, its preety cheap for a flagship.

They feel very similar, but the little magic has a weird finish to the plastic, and the huanglong is faster. The huanglong in my opinion is better(but more expensive)
Get an MF3RS2, Its basically a budget-friendly Weilong gts2. Also if you want to you can get the magnetic cubicle labs version or just buy some magnets to put inside. Alot of people (most notibly Legoboyz3) use the magnetic cubicle labs version as their main over a Gans or Valk

Aldrin John Alonzo huanglong is much better IMO.
cyotheking ok, but i heard that the huanglong is very fast so how can you slow it down? BTW your one of my favorite youcubers.
Aldrin John Alonzo the one I got came with extra springs that helped, and also use heavy lube on core with silk or a angstrom lube on peice, also if it is still too fast try weight 3

I set my MGC up with 30k all round, silk and speedy, and it is the fastest cube I own.

The way I set my MGC is how I set up all of my 3x3s. I have also done at least 1000 to 2000 solves on them.

Question Traxxas 50k or 30k?
blue eclipse It depends on what you want your cube to feel like after being lubed. I personally used Traxxas 50k and break it in very well. If you like a “lighter” lube job, then the 30k could work for you. I’d recommend the 50k though.
50k is more versatile; put in a little at a time and break in until you get the feel you're looking for

I don't get it?! Everyone likes the mf3rs2 but I can't stand it! Little magic m and weilong gts2 m are way better than mf3rs2!
Edit:if you want a magnetic budget cube get the little magic m. But you can get gts2 m for only 10 bucks more
