Juliette Valduriez - amazing young guitarist, and I am counting 1030 'dislikes', wow. I saw that with another amazing young guitar player's video too and I wonder what makes someone watch a young girl performing like this and then decide they must 'dislike' it? Even someone who doesn't like guitar solo's would normally have the decency to either click the 'like' button or click nowhere at all. But for some people, 'disliking' an obvious young talent is their default reaction. It's probably a generation problem - some people can't handle it I guess. Young people today do all sorts of amazing things - in the arts, in science... They may even show the world how to think with more empathy about our world. Remember 15 year old Ann Makosinski who invented a flashlight that shines just by holding it in your hand? An idea she had in mind for people in places without access to the electrical grid - so they can read a book in the evening, for instance. It tells us that there is creativity all around today. How can we 'dislike' this?

I love the energy this girl puts into her playing. While some may criticize her technique, I think she really nails this solo in terms of the energy and feeling she puts into it, which is really what this solo is all about. Look at David Gilmour; he's far from being the best guitarist out there, technically speaking, yet to many including myself, he is easily one of the greatest guitarists of all time simply because he translates emotions and feelings so well into his playing. And THAT to me is a true guitarist. This girl is great. Her solo gave me chills. Thumbs up.
+NickLAUZ95 That's what people need to understand. Playing guitar isn't about speed and shredding and technical soundness and god knows what special techniques, it's all about soul and feeling, transferring your emotions into notes, and playing them out loud, making your solo a piece of you. That's why guys like Eric Clapton and David Gilmour are so good, even though they are not constantly shredding and tapping and sweeping. In their case they don't own the guitar nor does it own them; the guitar and guitarist are one and the same.

+uberkid100 Guitar and how to play it can be anything the individual wants it to be. People that shred and do advanced technique, do it because they like doing it. They told Mozart he played too many notes.

Example: "Blinded by the light" 99.9% of even music lovers think it is a 'Manfred Mann' song, he is best known for it. Google who wrote it and preformed it first and listen to it. Same music and words but worlds apart. The original artist of blinded I truely dislike, possibly hate.

I’ve watched this video many times over the last several years.
This remains my favorite rendition of this solo. I also think the snarl of Juliette’s SG fits the emotion of the song better than a Strat…even though I own and love Fender Stratocasters.

I came back to this not knowing that I commented prior, and discovered I had thought the same thing in almost the same words as I just did, ignorance had the thought start with , that is not how Da.. it... and realisation interrupted that thought ending it with, wow that is her version, not only can she play the classic , she can arrange it to be hers, to put her signature on a song that iconic and pull it off that well that the haters make no sense, brilliant, you have allowed my mind to open up when listening to other covers. I see a lot of negative comments and I wonder why? this young girl is not only playing a classic but she plays with passion and you can tell that she enjoys it, it would be very bored for me if I hear the same notes everytime, this is diversity of music and thats why is beautiful and not boring, it is not like if she missing notes or shes playing the wrong scales, it is very obvious that she can play note by note if she wanted to. In my case I'm almost 40 and very exited that I did a search of this music and found a young girl that took her time in learning a song that most people her age never heard of, WELL played.

I am in a cover band because we like to cater to our crowd, but rarely, if ever, do we completely copy the original song being played. It keeps the crowd knee deep in "cheese" yet lets us remain artists to a degree.
Better to gig familiar songs twice a week than sit @ home rehearsing originals that most bars (In the mid-west) don't want played.
I sort of like her "slop" (to a point), and I even like the fact that I don't necessarily like the tone settings as it makes this girl different than me. If these kids don't like individuality, they can always purchase some autotune software and practice their Justin Bieber songs!

My 2nd favourite practitioner of Comfortably Numb solo. Not only is my favourite the composer but it's become 'part of' him having rendered it so often over decades. All your touches and phrasing and musical interpretations are amazing...... And I love the accelerating shredding!

I'm usually critical of female guitarists here on CZcams due to the fact that many male guitarists drool at the very sight of a female guitarist, regardless of her talent. This girl is legitimately good, not only that, but she actually has style and feel, unlike most female guitarists I've seen on here (or male for that matter.)
