- A vision is turning into reality, as the BMW Vision iNEXT becomes the BMW iX. The BMW iX is the symbol for a new era of mobility at BMW. Conceived for fully electric driving pleasure from the outset, it completely redefines the successful concept of the BMW Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV). With its newly developed, precise and minimalist design, the BMW iX is the first model in a future-oriented generation of automobiles, which are redefining the driving experience, the feeling of space, and the relationship between the car and its passengers.

Propulsion comes courtesy of the fifth generation of BMW eDrive technology. The drivetrain developed by the BMW Group generates, according to the latest calculations, more than 370 kW/500 hp, and allows a range of over 600 kilometres in WLTP cycle. That's the equivalent of more
than 300 miles according to EPA test cycle FTP-75. (All specifications regarding mileages, energy consumption and range are predictions, based on the current development status of the vehicle.) The new charging technology on the BMW iX allows DC rapid charging with an output of up to 200 kW. This allows the battery to be charged from 10 to 80 percent of its total capacity in under 40 minutes.
Behind the powerful appearance of the BMW iX lies a lot of high tech. One symbol of this is the new BMW grille. This “intelligent surface” contains cameras, radar and many more sensors, takes on digital functions, and has a self-healing effect. As far as the driver is concerned, the technology
remains in the background. Its functions are only apparent when they are being used. This Shy Tech philosophy makes for new design elements in both the interior and the exterior.
BMW iX:
Energy consumption in kWh/100 km (combined): 21.0.
CO2 emissions in g/km (combined): 0.

BMW Sheer Driving Pleasure
There’s been some shocking design decisions in the last 12 months:
The good thing about driving it is that you don't have to look at it from the outside...
These designers doing really well at digging a grave for BMW
never thought we'd come to this, but PLEASE BRING BANGLE BACK
I want to cry looking at this...
This makes the Audi e-tron Sportback look like the absolute pinnacle of modern car design.
So disappointed that the hex angel eyes are being phased out for some generic looking DRLs...
A face only a mother can love.
Sad to see the exterior design struggle. Generic siluette and if unbranded it would rather hint a Mitsubishi or Skoda (which looks better imho). I own 2 BMWs so no hater here :-/ Whish BMW to get better.
Finally a new era begins ❤️ wish you all success BMW i
fire the design team immediately this is now hilarious. :D
Looks like a Citroen, you just destroyed the headlights signature. I’ll stay with my X1 2020 instead.
Unpopular opinion : I think it looks great
Dear BMW, I know 2020 has been hard, kindly lets not reflect it in the car designs...
That's it ... enough is enough, going to Audi or Merc
With this vehicle, the developers created the design of the next generation. Great job, BMW! Kind regards, Michael
As a BMW 5.30xd owner and a BMW lover I can only say: oh boy, that’s one hell of an ugly car
Could you please fire the whole design team ?
When COVID-19 redundancies hit the design department of the company first! :)
i would fire the whole Design Team from Head of Design too the lowest
