Sigma 18-35 Art DC Unboxing and First Impressions

- Looking to upgrade my filming gear, I finally decided on a camera lens combo. As a long-time Canon user, I opted for the Canon R7 and the Sigma 18-35. Since I already unboxed the first on the channel, this video proceeds with the second. It also includes the unboxing Canon's EF to R adapter and a Sigma dock, which are essential for adapting the lens and updating its firmware.

Is the auto focus with sigma 18 -35 noisy, or just as silent. R adapter must have improved its fast autofocus.
Hey, thanks for commenting! IMHO, it is not; according to others, it is. Actually, I almost cannot hear it, when using a teleprompter. I hope that makes sense.

I want to buy this lens for my canon 80d for productivity photo and video, pls give me your opinion should i go for this? And also let me know is there any problem with AF with canon 80d by using this lens?

Thanks, man! I appreciate it. I've used an 80D for so long. Actually, the sigma was made for DSLRs like it. So it should work very well. You don't even need an adapter for this. I hope that helps!

If you don't plan to switch to FF, you'll definitely use it when you upgrade to a mirrorless.
I think you can hardly beat the setup I got with the R7, the 2 adapters, and the Black Pro Mist 1/8. Aw, and a cage. I should probably do a video on that. Coming from an 80D I can't be happier.

@@potbtech yes totally agree with you, with r7 this lens is beast i saw, i dont want to sell my canon 80d so thats why i want to give this lens to it for best results, will upgrade in future to FF, then ill use this lens in cinematography also
And can you tell how much diffrence in sharpness of photos in between sigma 18-35mm f1.8 and canon 50mm f1.8 ?
